The Hollywood divas think he’s a nobody and decided not to laugh. Yet the white Brit guy can insult them head to toe and they laugh nervously. That joke about Taylor coverage at NFL is so on point. They follow her all the way to the toilet for crying out loud. She didn’t get as much at Globes cause there are plenty other celebs. Geez lighten up swifties.

Koy's effort at the Golden Globes, as Martin points out, is commendable and deserves recognition.
Others say that having only 10 days of preparation is not an excuse to not be funny. Honestly, he was still quite funny for a person who only had 10 days, and there's no excuse for criticizing him unless you've tried hosting this kind of thing with only a few days prep time

Thank you Steve and to the other comedians who defended Jo Koy ! Jo was brave to accept the job as he was the only one with BA**! S as the others who refused the offer knew they are going to be thrown to the pit fire !!! In a way, this is a blessing in disguise for Jo Koy - - now everyone has heard of him and people will be curious how he will deliver the next time.
Unfortunately, some of those celebs in the audience just thought too highly of themselves. They decided as soon as they saw him that he is not in their league and won’t give him a chance.

These seasoned comedians understand the pressure, and props to them for supporting Jo Koy. Guy's did an amazing job taking the offer when the initial host bailed out and no one had the guts to take it. He was thrown into the lions den mixed with hyenas and did tame them all. Ms. Swifty, a little kitten can't handle the truth and crashed. Every joke was factual, and some of the so-called privileged in the crowd chose not to participate, but Jo Koy did his thing and absolutely killed it. Now, he's more popular than ever. Jo Koy got some real talent, balls, and BIG HEART ❤️ 💪🔥

Why in the world should he need to apologize?! He’s a comedian and making jokes are what they’re supposed to do. Most importantly what he said was 100% true. As for Taylor Swift, I think the joke just annoyed her a little. I doubt it ruined her night. She probably hears those kinds of things all the time.
That was the very reason Jokoy’s performance wasn’t so good. He had 10 days to prepare while previous ones had several months. Preparation equals confidence.

Jo Koy ROCKED! That joke was in no manner, shape, or form offensive. Not by any measure. Vanilla and G-rated. Taylor has always had issues. The public has lost count as to how many men have run from her. She is the single common denominator in all her failed relationships. She acts superior to the world.

So, looking for the right person to be married or what ever is a crime?..commenting about her relationship is low life, other celebrities or famous public figures are doing the same and they are not being criticized. At least, for me I admire Taylor Swift for not having children and divorced like most of the famous people. In regards of Jokoy, he copied that jokes from Peyton Manning during County Music Awards. I think Taylor’s mind “ not again “ during that moment. I know is harmless jokes but she is very sensitive about herself now. Especially during the Kanye and Kim incident. Researched it in RUclips, but I have nothing against Jokoy. He is just doing his job, but he needs to be original. I know, Jokoy said” he literally have 8 or 10 days to prepared for the monologue.

Watching the whole 10-minute monologue of Jokoy showed it's not bad at all. Cut the guy some slack. The genuine laughter from legends like Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, and media mogul Oprah was truly heartwarming. A joke is all about spreading laughter, and as they say, laughter is the best medicine. Here's to enjoying the lighter side of life!

Jokoy was great. It’s just not his type audience and show. If people are gonna criticize a comedian for hosting a show then be it. It is a comedian infront and not a regular morning show host. On the other hand, barbie dolls through the years have that look. my friend would say. There were moments of laughter. I'm focused on and very happy on those who were gracious and just game for laughs, classy and they probably know their worth. Nothing can offend them anymore. Support someone hosting for the first time. Like not most in that room tanked or went through awkard stage.
I remembered will smith's reaction to Chris Rock, does it need to be that big of reaction from a celebrity that can't take a joke for a host to get support. It was a mixed reaction i recall, but the it had more "hate" to the one who hit the host.

Not backed out but declined: Chris Rock, Ali Wong, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, trio of Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, etc. Not confirmed but Jokoy was said to be the 15th or so to be asked to host. No one wanted that gig.

glad to see other Comedies rallying around him because they know that he truly is talented.
the stand-up comics community is a tight knit group. rarely they destroy each other unless somebody (see Katt Williams' recent revelations) steals material from them. otherwise, they support each other and protect each other. Steve Martin, Whoopi and Kevin Hart are among others who supported him. Hosting in award shows as many have said is a brutal atmosphere.

If anyone was in his shoes they would find out how hard that position is and nobody should be insulted with his jokes, they are supposed to be a part of his commentary.
