as someone who deals with intense anxiety every time i do presentations, this made me feel better.
😂😂😂❤
exactly i’m feeling it right now jokoy represents me either
Jokoy had 10 days to prepare while previous hosts had several months, like half a year. It was also his first time hosting. If you were in Jokoy’s shoes, your anxiety would be through the roof.
Its ok . There’s a little bit of misalignment between Jokoy and the audience appreciation of jokes. It’s ok , if they clap less doesn’t mean auidience has no sense of humor. Sometimes its not the kind of jokes theyre used to hear . Its all fine. Taylor ‘s reaction is not that bad . After all her fame , she is still a woman who is sensitive and wants to maintain some privacy . Let us not overreact . Nobody’s perfect Jokoy and TS are just human beings . We appreciate both of them , of what they do , providing us music and laughter.
This monologue is the cure for anyone who fears public speaking.
Not really, The pain on his face would scare even the most seasoned performer.
Good one.

I think that was incredibly impressive. Not a lot of comedians can stand on stage and tell jokes for a whole ten minutes and have not a single one of them be funny.

@amiraolivares1361 it's a tough job. Did you like the previous host? Do you even know who hosted it before Jo Koy did?

@@valyria13they are talking about ricky gervais, whose jokes are super offensive and funny
It's not because people were offended, it's because it's uncomfortable to see
honestly, this is not as bad as the media made it out to be. I think Jo was talking too much about the crowd’s reaction. If he didn’t say it, i wouldn’t know that some of the audience were unimpressed.
And it was part of the bit, i.e. say something too spicy and then pretend disown it. It didn't work out, but he clearly wasn't reacting unprompted. He said it even after some of the jokes that got decent laughs.
Reactions and laughs were clearly added in post. If you take out the laughs, his reactions to bombing make sense.
Really? I had to stop every 1-2 min to shake off all the cringyness from those jokes... what a disaster
You think a man complaining about writers and claiming only the good jokes are his own is funny? Guy's a snore
it is horrific. he can only make jokes about the Filipino accents.
This guy gives me confidence that one day I will be able to host the Golden Globes. All I need to do is talk random stuff about random stuff, movies and people. Thank you Jo Koy.

For the two others that commented on this negatively Jo Koy is a comedian and performer obviously regular people couldn’t do it but being critical of the performance is ok when it’s trash
You’d think someone who is a professional standup comedian, who’s been doing it for 20 years, would have prepared ahead even if it is just 10 days.
I feel like I would have met with the writers and grinded in those 10 days to come up with some easy and safe one liners.
Or at the very least, asked the writers to send me their jokes so I could review them before showtime.
I swear it was a laugh track since everytime the camera turned on to the audience they were not laughing.
If it was a laugh track, then they had it turned down way too low!
HEY THEY ARE LAIGHING LOOK AT ROBERT DE NIRO HE IS LAUGHING SO MUCH TO THE JOKE OF JOKOY
Are we watching the same show? They’re laughing.
When the camera is put on a specific unsmiling person, and you hear other people laughing, that tells you that the cameraperson chose to focus on people who didn't like the jokes.
It's like when Elia Kazan got his honorary Oscar; some people probably think of it as the night that Ed Harris refused to clap for Kazan or stand up... in fact, quite a few people refused to stand for Kazan, but the cameraperson chose to focus Ed Harris (and Amy Madigan) to save Kazan embarrassment.
