did not think something like this was possible. unbelievable
This is a genuine masterpiece of arranging. I cannot believe how good this sounds. Bravo!
0:00 Introduction
3:28 Mystic Circle of the Young Girls
4:18 The naming and Honoring of the Chosen One
5:42 Evocation of the Ancestors
6:32 Sacrificial Dance
Damn, that horn player is amazing!
Bravo!!
Part II is also very good, but perhaps you could add a tam-tam and kick it with your foot every once in a while....
The arrangement sounds great, and the talent is definitely showcased, but I’m rather dissatisfied with the arrangement. Too reduced. I was hoping to hear the initial Mystic Circle of Maidens passage. And the entire march sequence was done away with entirely...
So what's stopping you from doing your own arrangement since you find this one so unsatisfactory?
@@dudeforcaster8630 I think one is entitled to an opinion without necessarily having to produce a huge arrangement
FWIW, I was commissioned to make a 20-ish minute arrangement (of a 33-ish minute piece), so cuts had to made, and there were some hard decisions. There were sections I would have loved to include, but they either didn't seem like they would translate as successfully to 5 woodwinds, or they seemed less essential to capturing the main flow and drama of the piece.
@@jonathanrussell6833 I'm wildly impressed that you managed to get the textures and harmonies into the five instruments so convincingly. Bravo!
Bruh they're playing music originally written for more than 100 musicians with only 5 of them.
