The narrative and dialogue may be lacking, but the cinematography and the audio is excellent. Might just see it for that.

I've seen all of them. He's got some serious talent despite being largely style over substance. Though I believe he's getting better about that, and probably learned a lot after Only God Forgives
+Cody Lakin What nonsense you speak. How was Bleeder "style over substance"? Or the Pusher trilogy? The first overtly stylised film he made was Fear X and even then you'd hardly say it was lacking in substance.

I actually completely forgot about that movie and that it was him, but that one, absolutely above my comment, more so also than the Pusher trilogy in my opinion, which were, while not really my thing, pretty great.

i love elle fanning but i thought the movie was a bit...underwhelming to say the least. i'm not sure what could have made it better but it just felt pretty shallow and the dialogue was cringy. also for a movie with a theme of design and beauty, the outfits were hideous. it felt like everyone just wore whatever they found in forever 21 in 2010. i know i'm being picky about that but the movie had no redeeming qualities aside from beautiful actresses
