I love watching your guys videos, it makes me miss home more and more❤. I think and hope you guys can make one covering how it is during Flag Day over there. I’m from the village of Aua and every year I would row on the Fautasi every year. The Fautasi is a Samoan long boat. That as you guy know by now is the Super Bowl of the island. Love your videos and keep it going ❤️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Gotta love the Mom of the family! Such a vibrant young lady and the Father is awesome! The kids are so much fun to watch with so much energy! Beautiful Family! Thank you for sharing with us ❤️ Alofa atu
It blows my mind that you are now experiencing a lock-down when so much of the world began lock-downs two years ago (most of the continental US was locking down in March 2020)! Most of us are now enjoying less restrictions at church, school, and work. Really, amazing that American Samoa has avoided major issues to this point! I hope the lock-down is short, that people can get access to the care they need, and that all of you stay healthy and happy!
I know. It felt inevitable and crazy that we lasted as long as we did. It seems to be spreading slowly. We’re grateful we’ve had time to observe how the rest of the world has handled things and get most of the island vaccinated, which I’m sure is helping.
@@AmSamFam dang. That's still less than 1 in 50,000. My small town in the mainland has 80 deaths and we have like 10% of the population of Am Sam, so your health department was still relatively successful. It would be better at zero but that first death unfortunately happens everywhere at some point.
I'm so happy to see this video; you guys look great! I was really worried about the transition to boat life but it looks like you guys are really embracing it. Good job with the dinghy; that is so vital.
Good morning from Seattle just wondering, are you folks still doing your RUclips videos? Are you folks still living in American Samoa? Just wondering we enjoy watching your videos.
Hi im a huge fan i also live in american samoa i would love to meet you guys i am ten years old and, An english girl who moved here three years ago, maybe you could make your kids do cheer or ayf football bc I would love to meet them!
Thanks you guys you guys make fill like I am home and the life it's going on now over there thanks for all the videos love you all will meet you there soon hopefully with the good will of God bless you all from magna Utah God bless be safe
You guys have been very helpful towards providing your ways of living on the island. I was born and raised there since a baby back in the 1990 going through he 2000s left around 2007 for family reasons but then when my dad came out to visit he got a stroke. I have a question? Do you guys know anything of care plans for taking care of loved ones at home and getting taken care by the government or does the government have any benefits concerning care for loved ones from home if so can you share? Just curious my dad been dieing to come back home im just not sure how to go about
Would be a cool video to see the cost breakdown of owning and running a boat you live on. Maybe every quarter or 6 months in and then a year in? Like gas to go back and forth to shore, oil, maintenance of the sailboat, forecasted expenses, etc? I’m curious and maybe others are if you wanted to share- if not no worries! Love your videos 💕
How incredible it is to see your beautiful family going above and beyond to enjoyed life. Thank you for always sharing your amazing journey with the WORLD. Alofa atu AmSamFam❤🧡💛
No one likes to be restricted, but all things considered, this seems like a great place to be locked down. You have such a rich environment. I feel like you guys will do so well on your first long voyage. It’s all part of the adventure. 😊
Great to see you all in good spirit, as in Code Red. Just be safe and keep eyes on the kids as they swim. I would have a robot waterproof camera to scan what's underneath or your surrounding safety morn pt!
Please be safe in those deep water or ocean in America Samoa I had a bad experience there45 years ago sharks are invisible there because I saw them in their they will come out of no we're God bless please be safe.
I noticed that you've got an extension handle on the throttle for the outboard on the dinghy. It probably helps the dinghy get up on a plane when you can sit farther forward, especially with only one person on board. Please, please, please always make sure you're using an emergency kill switch with the kill switch key on a lanyard to your personal flotation device, especially if there's only one person in the dinghy. There are lots of horror stories (and RUclips videos!) about the operator losing their grip on the extension while up on a plane. The extension handle will swing wildly out to one side and stay there, causing the dinghy to swerve violently and probably throw the operator out of the boat. With the operator in the water, the dinghy will do circles (possibly at high speed) around the swimmer, putting them in grave risk of severe injury, even death. With the kill switch key on a lanyard, the outboard will stop immediately if the operator goes overboard. Sorry to sound preachy, and if you're already doing it, great!
Glad to see you all got a kitty cat 🐈 to keep whom ever needs it company ✅ We have, and have had many cats, but then we Don’t live on a sailboat ⛵️ either 😎👍 Am assuming he stay’s with Hadley as hers is a single room…!!
Sorry you guys are getting the tail end of this mostly political pandemic. Stay safe. Don't get frustrated over it. When the American Samoan government catches a clue, y'all will come out okay. It's dissipating here mainland. The truth is coming out. You'll see. Keep up the awesome videos.
Missed y’all. Just curious if y’all be posting more contents 😊😊😊😊
We need a new video!! Lol yalls videos are awesome!!

I think bcuz it just hit Samoa... And now its spreading on that tiny little island.
I know. It felt inevitable and crazy that we lasted as long as we did. It seems to be spreading slowly. We’re grateful we’ve had time to observe how the rest of the world has handled things and get most of the island vaccinated, which I’m sure is helping.
There are still zero deaths in Am Sam
@@Jack209 we actually just had the first death officially announced 😢

I'm so happy to see this video; you guys look great! I was really worried about the transition to boat life but it looks like you guys are really embracing it. Good job with the dinghy; that is so vital.
Yes, having a reliable dinghy has made ALL the difference! Boat life has its challenges, but so far, the rewards outweigh them.

No, we don’t mind. It’s great advice. The dinghy did not have a kill switch when we bought it, but we have since added one 🤙 Thanks for the tip!
BE SAFE GUYS. ALOFA ATU

Pls I have been following u what about working to earn a living am in Africa looking for where I can get a good job
Have you guys sailed to Fagatele bay ?
No, we haven’t. I’d be afraid to drop anchor there with all that beautiful coral reef.
How is the temperature there? I was in Saipan in 2017 and the temperature was brutal. It was about 80+ early in the morning and 100+ by noon.
My husband and I are moving to American Samoa in a few years. Will we be able to bring our dog?
quick question, do you guys speak samoan? or what languages do you speak there?

We’re grateful that we’ve had two years to observe what’s worked and what hasn’t with the rest of the world 🌎 🌍
Where do you park your car? Do you pay a fee?
We usually park our car by the dock. It’s a convenient location, close to where we park the dinghy when at shore. The fees are still being finalized…
