Very impressive. I am the same age. I did 123 reps and that nearly killed me. I started CF at 40. I do feel I can still improve. Jason you have proved this. Well done.

I did the 6 and 4 method of thrusters too, but I dropped it for 6 seconds each. I did my CTBs in quick singles, then I went for a BMU and partially ruptured my triceps tendon. Arms pretty purple today but it still has full ROM. Guess it’s a lot of lower body WODs for the foreseeable future for me. These things happen…I need to lose a little more mass for gymnastics. Can’t be doing this stuff at 240lbs in my 40s. At least it was the last week of the open.

Wow Jason.... your grit and execution is unmatched and inspirational. The more soul crushing the workout, the more you shine. As soon as I saw you brought out the dead drop plates I knew you were bringing the heat. Out of curiosity, how high did your HR go, and how does thåt compare to a normal training day?
I forgot to start my watch, so I don’t know what my heart rate was specifically…. But probably zone 4 on the back half of the workout. The heart rate wasn’t the challenge, it was the overall buildup of fatigue through my core from thrusters and muscle ups. Normal training would be at about 90% of this effort.
