  • Simple change out of a 15-year-old system with a new seer2, 2 stage 15 seer 3 ton Ruud system. had my boy Q with me today banging out the air handler while I knocked out the condenser. Worked together to achieve the common goal of getting the equipment. Tighten up and running for a valued customer.

    I was just thinking that too... "He's gonna have soot in the system from failing to purge." Good job man. So many companies don't take the time to do the job correctly. Before becoming a contactor myself, I had worked for other company's. They were all okay with cutting corners. In fact, they would encourage it. The quicker the job is done, the better. Now I find myself going behind those same businesses cleaning up their mess and making new customers.
    Work safe and have a good day.☆☆

      Duuuude absolutely!!! And there’s still those that don’t believe that shit 🤦‍♂️ I watched a video other day and someone still thinks it’s BS 🤷‍♂️ I used to work for the same type of companies, still always tried my best to do the best practices. But now it’s enforced, because it’s just me and I have me to answer and if there’s an issues it’s my fault. And I don’t want that on me you know? Appreciate it 🫡 and same to you man!!

      I’m generally a one my crew out in the field, so I do all the maintenance, service, repairs, sales, I just keep it real with the customer, since I’m there for service call anyway i just give them the option depending on age and warranty status 🫡 now’s the time to grind when everyone’s in the “shoulder season” bro and do what the others aren’t 💪

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@TX-EddyHVAC so fortunately for me, we acquired a customer base that was existing which really helped! Last year was our first year with the customer base and it was just about getting our foot in the door and gaining the trust and just being real with the customer, letting them know their in good hands and we aren’t these big companies and still small/family owned business. Our revenue turned over 100% from previous year to this year! It’s just about being real, presenting a badass service, be a real technician and not just sales techy, and doing the right practices and knowing shit the competition doesn’t!!

    Are ypu able to run this same ac with only 2 wires coming from the furnace? I just had a install and not happy. I have r962v with the same variable speed ac. They wired up every like a generic thermostat setup said the equipment will do everything on its own. Well it's not the ac is always on hi cool but the furnace is on lo cool so no higher blower or more evx opening. My question. Should there be a 5 wire ran to the ac? Something don't seem right I paid a lot for this system and i am not getting all the goodies I wanted with how they did it

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  3 месяца назад

      Seems like you need to call the company back out just to get some clarification on the system and its capabilities. Depending if the condenser is communicating or if it’s strictly a 2 stage straight cool system. Without being there unable to determine all of the factors!! Hope you can get it resolved

    • @downintheshed2449
      @downintheshed2449 3 месяца назад

      @KoolinwithKrauss it's the same one you installed the 15az is it's a variable stage ac condensor with matching furnace r962v. I'm running a 5 wire to it today and hooking it up I've called this company 3 times and they say someone should but they haven't. I'm a bit pissed

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  3 месяца назад

      @@downintheshed2449oh that’s more then a reason to be pissed!! Just make sure to set it all up in the stat for the proper settings and wiring configuration to furnace and you should be good, sorry you’ve had a bad experience!!

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  9 месяцев назад

      Prevents oxidation inside the tube! That way all those black flakes don’t get into the line then txv and refrigerant etc!

  • @Balticblue93

    May I ask why the entire system was swapped out? Was it broken or just needed to be replaced? I sell most brands and the Rheem/Ruud units are growing on me. But I do Bryant/ICP, Daikin/Amana/Goodman, Have the ability to do the Ruud/Rheem product and the Trane products also. I enjoy your channel and it's weird, I own and HVAC company for a zillion years and still watch other HVAC guys on RUclips. lol. Things are different here in Denver at 6000' and we do furnaces and straight Cool systems unless the home can handle a large enough heat pump for the heat load necessary. It is crazy how different things are in Florida.

    • @KoolinwithKrauss
      @KoolinwithKrauss  9 месяцев назад +1

      So the other unit had a leak in the evap, due to cost for work and out of warranty we were replacing that one. But then this one was more of a precaution since they were both the same age and they were having issues with the cooling capacity. That’s wild out there in Denver!! I lived in Maryland and came up doing boilers and furnaces with the occasional heat pump that never really worked well. Different animal down here!
