This was Tsonga's 15th win over a Big 3 member. He would go on to claim another one against Federer the following year. Most career wins against Federer Nadal & Djokovic :
1 Murray (29)
2 Del Potro (17)
3 Tsonga (16) / Thiem (16)
Wawrinka cuanto tiene?
@@luisbernal7957 12
I was at the Wimbledon match against Federer .. he was brilliant.
@@luisbernal795712, for 62 loss (Wawrinka)
While Tsonga has 16 wins for 39 loss.
Murray has 29 wins for 56 or 57 loss.
Del Potro has 17 for 45.
And Thiem has 16 wins for 18 defeats.
@@luisbernal7957 Wawrinka has 12 against the Big 3 (H2H: 6-21 Novak, 3-23 Federer, 3-17 Nadal).
Nowadays we get borefest like Rublev vs Fritz or even worse Fokina vs De Minaur in Masters semis 😂😂
This was truly the golden age of tennis. Djokovic, Federer, Murray, Nadal, Del Potro, Tsonga, Wawrinka, Berdych, Ferrer, Soderling... Thank you for everything ! I was lucky to witness this era live. The best era of all-time.
you forget monfils actually !
finally, somebody else says it! the level now is just sad compared to before
@@yoann2537 Monfils wasn't as good as these guys though. I mentioned players who won a Masters title, reached a Grand Slam final and made it to the top 5. Monfils has none of these achievements.
Even before them we had roddick, davy, nalbandian, etc
@@rm1507 Maybe but monfils is the most talented and the better french player of this génération. Everyody knows him, everybody knows this legendary match. Don't care about a lucky grand slam winner, and lucky top five. He was ranked top 6 and top 20 all of this career. he was way better then Ferrer and Berdych, and even Tsonga. This career is so much longer than this guy.
Tsonga was not only a great player, but he was also incredibly entertaining. His attacking style was exciting to watch, but he also wasn’t just your regular big power hitter. He had good movement, exceptional touch and some of the best volleys in the modern era. He also rarely got whiney or argumentative on the court but enjoyed playing to the crowd and showing his positive emotions.
So true !
Shame we've seen Tsonga go and Nadal seems close to on the way out now... shame that our favourite players are retiring. You wont see players like these for some time!
Shame that unfavorite player Djokovic still playing with weak gen and winning titles ..His fans say his body is important more than any titles ,that's why he didn't put vaccine but playing 250 tournaments, atp finals ,every slam whenever he has chance ..in 2020 rafa refused to go to United States because of COVID problem but nole did..but his fans says rafa is more obsessed than djoke
@@Laland_1196get a life Man
@@Laland_1196bro what are u on about, Novak had the same competition as Rafa but Novak is a superior athlete so he has lasted longer and is this more complete as a result
@@Laland_1196cry more
@@Savoyard-si8sx like djoke fans ? 🤣
Never forget Jo ❤
Tsonga's only falut is he was in same era with Big 3+ Murray
2:48 my usual attack.
Tsonga was the only player who could produce pretty decent one-hander shots knowing he was a 2-hander.
In my opinión, the best outfit from Nadal
Amazing
haha compare this to the men's game now this is like prime time tennis
Absolute facts.
Tsonga one handed backhand at 5:36
I am sure Monfils told Tsonga how to do the 8:03 smash ahahah.
Hilarious how Tsonga fires a one-handed backhand at 5:38 ahahah
Tsonga was able to shoot one-handed backhands from time to time, almost as accurate as two-handed when he could, which is rare and difficult to change his backhand or stroke in the middle of a match
for the people who dont knows, nadal plays after the us open 2015 from 2015 beijing until atp finals 2015 his second best season in his career the period after the us open the autumm time
2015-16 were the worst years in his career. You probably mean 2013.
@@NLLeFa i mean only the autumm time between 2015 beijing until atp finals 2015 his second best season in his career
Because he was healthy. Other years he didn't even play. In 2015 he played the whole year, but only reached SF or finals after the USO and won just one title and that was 250 on grass. @@travisbickle5279
@@travisbickle5279it's not his best ..but he still reached there because he is one of the mentally strongest player..that's why even in his worst form the greatest fighter reached some latter rounds in 2015 .shame that his body let him down .( 2021,2023 )rafa missed 5 slams ,(2021,2023 )Djokovic won 6 slams
Tsonga forehand underrated 😅
It was fairly rated at the time though. Only Nadal, Federer and Del Potro had a better FH I thought, maybe Djokovic.
@@rm1507 imagine a Tsonga in his prime VS Alcaraz that would be cold
@@samuelroman613 Yes that would be an amazing match-up for sure !
@@rm1507Fernando too
@@wuhui Gonzalez ? Yes but he wasn't really relevant after 2010. Not exactly the same era.
tsonga is always jumping up on his strokea
10:36 The paralell Rafa, The parallel!
Wow 😮
10:52 Power Smash 3😂😂
0:10
Dude, I remembered Tsonga a lot more taller than Rafa
People usually assume Tsonga is as tall as Berdych and Del Potro because he was as powerful as them, but he was like 10 centimeters shorter than them. Tsonga was an exceptional server for his height, almost up there with Sampras Roddick and Federer pound for pound.
ツォンガカッケー
I really miss this kind of intensity on the tour nowadays. With contendants like this, Novak would really have to work to win slams...
What a bad luck for rata
Always nice to see rafa defeated
Omg how miserable are you man?!
i dont watch the video but my memory says tsonga won 7-6 0-6 7-5 and i think this was a semi final match
Your memory fail 😆

Mo comments from koenig during Nadal winning second set. Underrated swine.
Rafa hit the ball so weakly in 2015-16 seasons
It was a rough time. Ironically he had a pretty good indoor season though. I think he played so poorly during the season that he actually wasn’t fatigued or injured by the end of the year
He was recovering from a back procedure at the end of 2014. That took a good 2 years to recover from and to get his on court movement back to a high level. He didn't makes excuses but he lost to a few guys in the period he wouldn't have lost to previously.
@@SJ-di5zudjoko shit always ruined his titles in indoor ..(2013 beijing, atp finals),(2015 beijing, atp finals semis )
