Another great tutorial Toby - between you and Colin I'm learning so much about the importance of layers in watercolours and patience (not easy for me!). I'm quite pleased with my final painting. The more I watch these videos the more I understand about negative space and NOT aiming for photo-realism and embracing the abstract nature of your work. Thanks so much. Martin 👏👍
Absolutely briliant! Especially the proces of trusting it'll finaly come together and all the layers and steps. Totally love it and once again so lovely and clearly explained. Thank you, Toby!
Looks like Skogafoss in Southern Iceland, so the rock is probably basalt. Your blocky, geometric marks suit this type of rock so well! The green is the most beautiful moss covering the rocks. I'm going to dig my Iceland photos out and a have a go! 😊

Very nice! I believe I can feel the mist from the falls on my face. ❤
Wow Toby! What a great painting. Was unsure how you’d approach this subject but the result is amazing!
Thank you very much!
Just lovely. Great demonstration as ever.
This was so much fun. This was my first time doing this sort of abstract art. I like it.
Love the painterly style in this one!
Glad you like it!
Thank you, new to ink and watercolour and learning so much!
You are so welcome!
Great demo.
