For chain binders you don't leave the chain under the handle. You need to tie wire the handle so bouncing it doesn't unbuckle. Or at lease wrap the excess chain around the chain and handle. Ratchet screw binders are the way to go.
@Chad Young I have a 5ft land pride that I haul in this trailer. It fits but the wheel sticks out the back about 2 ft. I just run a strap across the rear gate and flag the wheel. It works just fine!
@Terry McGillicuddy Yes it will still fit without an implement on. It might still fit with a tiller or box scraper, but no chance with a mower. I also didn’t like the position of the tractor in the trailer when I had the bucket inside. Hope that helps!
I don't understand how you checked the weight distribution? You shook the trailer? To check weight distribution you can throw a piece of wood on the ground and measure up to any spot on the bumper and measure after you're loaded. I usually lean a 2x4 against the bumper with inch marks on it so I can see from the seat how much the truck is coming down. I usually go for 2 to 3 inches on a f250. On a half ton with weaker springs I may go more. NEVER less than what the truck sits with an empty trailer or you might want some one follow you shooting video for the You Tube death fishtail.
I wonder what happens if you have to do an emergency stop. I bet you will be in a world of trouble just looking at the way your trailer and truck is set up
Do these trailers come with those mounting rings inside the bed? I want to buy a trailer and tractor and this would be awesome instead of a utility trailer.
@@johnkbear3901 Thanks for the info! This trailer has 2 in the front on the side walls and 2 in the rear on the deck. I prefer the sidewalls as sometimes material gets stuck around the d rings. Not a huge deal, just something to consider.

Bouncing down the road, those bricks will be everywhere but behind those tires.
Cool video.
Thank you!
It doesn't look like you needed the rear jacks at all for that tractor.
Well done.
Wonder if you could fit that configuration with a hog on the back? Great video 👍

Thanks for the video 👍 Will the tractor still fit if you wanted the Bucket inside the dump instead of up top?

@@TheJonesFarm Perfect thanks 👍

@sny734 thanks for the comment and tip! I’ll keep that in mind.

Looks like his bumper moved down at least two inches. So,…according to you, he’s fine.
I question why you did’t run the chain through the clevis on the draw bar in the rear????
I often remove the draw bar and have gotten in the habit of just running the chain through the bracket.

This trailer did, I am not sure about other models though.
They're easy to have welded in there. You can have them welded on the floor or you can have them welded on the side near the floor.

What size are those rear tires and rims? Also have JD 790 and it’s been bulletproof tractor
They are 15x19.5 Titans. I love my 790, it’s a great tractor
I have the exact trailer, do you know where the license plate goes? Old video but hoping for a response
How does that obs handle that trailer?
