That was so cool! That trailer didn't budge. I agree with the guy that said I wish I had the property to justify the equipment! Keep up the great content. Cool shoes.
First time too, Hauled my 50hp Kubota on exact same set up, 150 miles, on freshly rebuilt transmission. I would not have had the peace of mind to make a video. Great job. I lost a glass door on my trip. But my load lockers, grade 70 chain held up amazing.
Dang that was awesome of Northstar to send you out some sweet stuff. My diamond C trailer didn't come with a wireless remote 😕😕😕 or a solar charger panel 🤷🏽♂️...
I've been considering a dump trailer, but would only consider a gooseneck dump so I can leave the bucket on and set the loader up on the gooseneck so I have room to keep an implement on the back of the tractor...
I absolutely love my dump trailer. Personally I find the equipment a much better choice for a tractor. With that said, we all can't afford two expensive trailers. Take care!

No kidding, those boots are comfortable and crazy cheap. The slip ons I wear everyday to keep that morning dew off my feet. Don't forget to use that coupon code.
"Oh know, you 'sold out' again!!" Just kidding!! I wish I had the property to need this. I am in the process of looking at some properties now and your channel helps me to know what I need to consider. Keep em coming Andrew!!! These are well worth the watch!!!
I guess now that you hit 100K you'll get more attention from all kind of producers, sweet!!! You're gonna be getting all sorts of toys (Yes, Mr Gray, I know it is pronounced "tools"🤣)
I gotta admit, i watched the video where you got the dump trailer, caught the bug myself, and went out and bought one too. I really wanted the iron bull, because it does look like the best value on the market. However where I'm at in Oklahoma, there were no dealers around, the closest thing i could find was about 8 hrs away, i decided on a PJ right down the road. i bought WAYYY too much trailer for what i really needed, but man, its nice being able to not worry about capacty lol. maybe PJ should send you a thank you gift as well LOL
Norstar also makes the service bodies used by both Diesel Creek and Let'sDig18. That alone says a lot. They did that on their own. No sponsorship. Just like you. Really says a lot when so many people end up with the same/similar decision.
Your loader front cross bar was in danger of pushing into your lift cylinder on the first try; if that tractor ever moved forward it would have caused some damage. Maybe lift loader a bit.
Cool video....I bet you will get a lot of stares on the road if you ever have to haul your tractor - that is a somewhat unusual site LOL. Awesome goodies Northstar sent you. Your honesty in your reviews pays off - that's great! 👍💜💜💜
Did you use wheel chalks when loading tractor? I place them in front of wheels to stop the tractor from pushing truck forwards when loading.. chalk set on trailer and truck.
Think the wheel chalks would help block the truck from moving while loading. Should this help take pressure off the transmission while belting loaded. I prefer rubber chalks over plastic. Think they grip better. I have seen truck move forward while being loaded. Scary as all out. Cheap insurance for loading.
That truck and trailer didn't even move while you were loading the tractor. Your tractor looked great in the trailer. Your goodie bag was amazing. wireless remote. What will they think of next?
Great video. I have one question: Have you tried pulling the pins to raise the stabilizer legs with the tractor loaded. It looks like the pins would be difficult to get out with a load on trailer.
@@TKCLdang I’m glad I saw your video. We don’t have a tractor but are looking at cab tractors about the same size as yours. We will be getting the trailer before the tractor though. I hadn’t even thought about getting in and out of the tractor. We do house flips and will use the trailer for trash mostly but also for picking up landscaping material. We want to get the tractor for use on site as well for various things and on our home land. I appreciate you getting back to me. Trying to buy once and not make a mistake so your videos and insight is helpful.
@@TKCL Yeah Im aware, honestly until your video I had fully decided on a high side trailer(36-48"). All I was thinking about was length, width and weight capacity. I have to go back to my local trailer supplier to check out the thickness of the steel as well.
Very nice! Those stabilizer braces..... how do you release them with a load on the trailer? My trailer has hydraulic units so I can retract them if a load remains on them.
You don't want the Stabilizers on the ground to start... too much weight focused right on the back... You want the load to bear down on the Springs first, and then have the Stabilizers support the rest.. That way the trailer is properly Planted on the ground while loading a piece of equipment on ramps 💁♂️
Thank you for the video. Im in the same boat needing a trailer for my L6060. Do you think if you got the 3ft sides on an 8ft wide trailer, you could squeeze out the door? Im thinking about a 16f or even 18ft but I would like a 3ft side wall
If your tractor is cab, stay with 2ft side walls so you can open the doors. You can always add the top boards to extend the height and carrying capacity, all while quickly removing them when the tractor needs to be opened up. 8ft wide will be a nightmare to operate on small roads, lots ect.
@@TKCL Thank you, I didnt think about the back roads with a wider trailer. I have a new f250 and its already pretty wide. I was just thinking I would have more room to fit the tractor in but then again my tractor is like 6'3"so it would fit in the 7ft wide. I think what you suggested is the best way. Probably 2ft sides would be much easier to open the doors.
@ffrob2001 plus you only need high sides for light debris like trash or limbs. You'll never fill a 3 or 4ft high side trailer up with rock or dirt. You'd be WAY over the carrying capacity.

I was originally going after a 16' trailer but it sold before I got to the dealership, they had the 18' car trailer available so I bought it...this was during COVID, so inventory was very scarce, so I took what they had....if I did it again I wouldn't have bought a car trailer, I would have bought a dump trailer...far more useful overall, I don't particularly want to or need to haul cars and if I did I could rent the UHAUL car hauler trailer. I've been thinking lately of putting my trailer up for sale, taking the money from that and putting it towards a dump trailer...the problem is, if I needed to haul all of my implements I couldn't as a 7x14 dump trailer isn't long enough...with my car trailer I can side load stuff too, pallets, implements, etc. With a dump trailer you have to load everything from the back, inconvenient for a lot of reasons...so its kind of a catch 22. What exactly are you doing, and what are you going to be doing the most, and what are you hauling, what implements/attachments do you need to haul, etc. I mean truthfully you'd really want a flat bed, and a dump trailer, but in the end a flat bed is better for me, and I can rent a dump trailer for the few times I'd ever use one. I do need to add a winch to my car trailer though, would be useful sometimes for dragging stuff onto the trailer.
As mentioned in the video I don't haul my tractor, it stays on the property. I just wanted a trailer capable of hauling it when absolutely needed. A car trailer with 7k axles is the way to go if hauling a tractor often.
Hey Andrew, I just noticed your Gatortail in the background, it would be cool if you made a little overview and maintenance video on it. I’ve had one for close to 10 years, but when I first got it I was looking all over online for maintenance videos. A lot of people don’t know what they are and their purpose.
Great video! Do you think the rear stabilizers are mandatory? Can you do a video comparison without the rear stabilizers to see how much it wants to lift up on the back of your truck?
Not mandatory in my case as the ground is flat and the trailer has a lot of tongue weight. With that said it's not worth loading equipment without them. Your putting unnecessary stress on your hitch, truck, axles and trailer without them.
I have a 4066R as well. I want to buy a dunp trailer. I have a car trailer I can haul it on now. I was thinking about a deckover but I think I want something lower. I can always load from the side on my car trailer. So, that feature of a deckover is probably something I can do without. I think I will still get a 16ft dump trailer but it is nice to know how to fit my 4066R on a 14-footer. So, how does it tow a highway speed?
I was going to mention that you'll want to keep the safety feet far enough above the ground to not hold any load once the trailer is loaded, otherwise you're stuck with stuck posts ugh but you've already addressed that in a reply to a previous comment. So, instead I'll say that your shoe folks are missing out by not selling westerner-sized shoes (men's US 15 here, lol)

No way as I've been using it from the tractor with no plug. Florida sun is no joke, even at a 1/2 amp charging day after day it will absolutely top the battery off after a few dumps.
When loading , PUT your truck in Neutral and set the parking brake ! this way you are NOT pushing against the parking Pawl when the Trany is in "Park" rather than Neutral !!!
You should really have a tongue weight gauge. Eye balling it is not safe, nor accurate, in my opinion. I do appreciate your taking the time to show off the dump trailer.
Maybe this is where it os on video But You May want to look Very Close at Your Hitch on your Truck..Looks Like it is Bowed Down Quit a Bit To Me(More Than it Should Be) But Like i said It May Just Be The Camera Angle ...But Never Hurts to Double Check! @@TKCL I thought raising trailer to spread material and monitor flow would block tractors view.
No I could add another wireless camera on the trailer.
@@TKCL that was what I was thinking. Remove Cam after project.
Could you share link of the solar panels?
Here you go amzn.to/3rkusLu
Do the asfalt millings then soak it in diesel it will make it hard as asphalt
Nice!
A 7W charger is only .583 amps. It’s probably charging from the trailer plug
No way as I've been using it from the tractor with no plug. Florida sun is no joke, even at a 1/2 amp charging day after day it will absolutely top the battery off after a few dumps.
Great video , what name brand of mud grip tires you running on the 2500hd ?
Falken, absolutely the best and longest lasting tires I've ever owned.
Please upload Trimmer lines, Andrew and Tiffany.
You may find out that you need to pull that tractor all the way forward until you move the stabilizer stands up to transport mode
Apparently I edited me out discussing having the stabilizers a few inches above the ground to avoid that.
Any updates on your dove fields?? Love watching them videos
Coming soon, just bought a lot of seed.
@TKCL good too hear
What model of that ironbull trailer?
DTB8314072-10007_BLK
do they make cameras that you could hook somewhere in the back so you can see how much rock is comming out did you 2 have a good 4th🎉
Yep, I have two on my tractor. They do require power though.
When loading , PUT your truck in Neutral and set the parking brake ! this way you are NOT pushing against the parking Pawl when the Trany is in "Park" rather than Neutral !!!
I've heard this before, good tip.
Awesome
How about electric brakes? just wondering
It has them.
Conclusions after loading.............I shoulda waited and purchased the 16 footer................!
Nope, this easily hauls my tractor. I'd get an equipment trailer if I wanted to haul my tractor for working.
Just remember where you left the remote, ya don't want to lose it.
No kidding
What is missing in this video???
I have not heard Mister Rooster!!! 🙂
I edited a lot out of this video because he wouldn't shut up. Had to repeat myself a lot 🙄
You should really have a tongue weight gauge. Eye balling it is not safe, nor accurate, in my opinion. I do appreciate your taking the time to show off the dump trailer.
I do have one of those now.
If you listen closely in the video you can hear that Chevy truck shed a few tears when that tractor was on it. Oh, did I say that out loud?
Lol yeah being 22 years old it isn't happy.
@@TKCL001 2500hd? Gas or diesel?
Gas
Maybe this is where it os on video But You May want to look Very Close at Your Hitch on your Truck..Looks Like it is Bowed Down Quit a Bit To Me(More Than it Should Be) But Like i said It May Just Be The Camera Angle ...But Never Hurts to Double Check! I would Also Say Be Very Careful If/When You Must Load the Tractor Backwards But Hell im sure you know..i aint no dam safety sally..lol.
My truck has a body lift and the junky spacer they put over the hitch is at an angle, I hate it.
First f😭😭😭😭 nevermind
Last Ricky!

I don't know if it matters, but it is Norstar not Northstar. Leave the H out.
I'm trying to talk myself into a 16ft dump trailer to haul a TYM474 with a hoe on the back.
If you are going to have equipment in the back, go bigger. What size is that tractor, hp wise?
Super Duty is all your missing…lol
Negative, Duramax.

Buy a Ford!
Why? I've owned GM products since I was 16. Not one single major failure or letdown ever. No reason to leave this brand.
