Sir I live here in Texas ( BOERNE) Primarily I mow yards . I just got my 14 f big Tex !! Can you give me a little bit of a advice how I can make money with my new trailer? I’m using my f150 😌 5.0 v8 I think I can pull about 8000 pounds!
Awesome! I would check to see what your local landscape yard has in stock for various bulk materials, then start advertising on Facebook marketplace, CL and other forms of social media. You could also let all your lawn care customers know that you stock and supply various landscaping materials. Check to see what the landscape yards charge for driver then set your prices from there. I charge about 30% more for delivery than my local landscape shop and get calls constantly. Hope this help!
I charge about $45/yard including delivery to my local area (15-20 miles from my shop). I have a 3 yard minimum for that price. Anything less I do a flat rate. With fuel prices increasing I am increasing rates a bit.
My question, how are you controlling the dump from the cab of the truck? Custom controller? I ran triaxle dump trucks for a couple yrs tailgating stone. Now I would like to purchase a dump trailer but wasn't sure how ya raise the dump from driver's seat. Thanks for any information.
@@featheredcoyote5477 it helps but not necessary. You get a small pile where you start dumping/spreading but when the trailer is up the spreader gate keeps the gravel pretty well contained. The trailer I use is relatively low to the ground so the pile doesn’t build up very much, Compared to a dump truck where it will just keep pouring out.
I haul anywhere from 2.5 to 4 yards, but this specific load was 3 yards. I don’t like to go over that with my trailer. Sometimes it struggles to lift anything over 4 tons.

Awesome video, I want a 16ft bumper pull trailer but $19500 plus tax and title is way over my budget.
That is spendy! Hard to justify that but they are nice to have. Hope you can find one soon!
Nice, how much are you charging for the runs? Or is it by yard?

I installed a wireless remote so I can use it from the cab, but honestly most of the time I just use the controller in the box on the trailer.
@@TheJonesFarm but to spread gravel on a driveway, you'll need that wireless remote to do so right?

So roughly 2.5 yards is what you are hauling?
