I have this box set and the remastering is superb. My only complaint as you mention is I wish the albums had the original covers and gatefolds, even though the book is quite nice. Eat It finally sound pretty good! Also, printing error on the back with "Four Day Creep" saying "Four Deep Creep".

I was so lucky to have met Steve and chatted to him ,had a beer with him at JB'S in Dudley. West Midlands. What a guy ! what an experience !.Later, actually 7 years after his passing I met his Sister and Mom ! My band were Huge fans, we played a place where His Mom and Sister used to stay. A HOLIDAY Place anyway !.. We talked about the early Small Faces's Tour 's of America. And His Band 'Humble Pie . Steve's Mom went with Him. And although she said It was rather loud ! She was so Proud of Him. Love Steve.Bless him, Lovely Review

I highly recommend the humble pie immediate years anthology. 2 cd set. Has first 2 humble pie albums released in 1969. Plus many bonus tracks and singles. Remastered. Sound way better than the original releases.
Well, Humble Pie fans, as I have been forever, I bought this set to have a new batch of albums. They do sound great, and am really happy I bought this box. All albums sound fantastic, really well made, nice 180gram records. One of the best things I did for myself. Say no More!....🍁

Love The Pie always have. Very sad end for Steve Marriott. Great musician and singer. Died in a house fire at a time he apparently wasn't getting on with anyone as the story goes.

Hi Phil, have to say i've had it since day of release last december and it's fantastic, finally some great sounding CDs to finally go with the expanded complete live at the fillmore discs they released a few year back and they are absolutely mind blowing thanks to Peter Frampton.s remix of the original tapes, it's like you are on stage with the band, my only negative of this box is i wish they had done complete repros of the album art work in the booklet but alas no, half a star off for me, why record companies always cut corners is one of lifes great letdowns but everytime you know it's coming, looking forward to hearing what you make of it

@@NowSpinningMagazine if you can track it down it's an essential purchase for sure from the opening it just punches you in the face so much so that i doubt i will ever go bck to the original release

This is a great set Phil. For fans of the band, do check out a book called 'All or Nothing' by Simon Spence. It tells the full and very sad story of Steve Marriott and covers in depth the Humble Pie years. It is often forgotten that over fifty years ago they were a big draw in the States.

This would have been an awesome box too if they would have added the packet of 3.
But I suppose they had to talk to Jerry Jerry's very cool and then Pete and of course Dave clem Clemson to get the okay's.
So perhaps the p o t might not have made it in cuz it wasn't quite humble pie was just Steve and some other guys. Cuz if you never heard Steve Marriot and the packet of three you should check them out.
Sometimes I feel I'm in the minority though I think Street rats is a solid album. It may not be great but it's definitely up there in the good to very good to me

Nice video. I have the vinyl set. You could hear the band starting to fragment as early as "Eat It." My goodness, you can almost see the cocaine on the mixing board as you listen!

Good to see this set, thanks for the unboxing Phil. Need to stream more of the albums but it is of interest being a big Frampton fan too. You're right about some of the old lacklustre CD reissues, for various bands, with single bits of paper and zero story behind the making of the albums. Rainbow are a band poorly served in that department and this type of set would be good for their output but with CDs having the original artwork printed on them

Im debated on buying this. Ive seen it on amazon for $51.00. Thats reasonable. I have alot of these humble albums on cd or vinyl or download. Some of these are hard to find. They are pricey if u do find them. I have the humble pie anthology and rockin the fillmore, rock on and of course hot n nasty. The extended versions of humble pie is realky good too. My collection has been growing out of control why i am debating with myself.
I bought it.
I bought vinyl version when it came out and it sounds great However I’ve missed out on the book and bonus tracks.This is disappointing and I’m not buying it again. On the plus side I do have original gatefold sleeves.

Phil I am late to the HP party too! Havnt got into them yet. Did have a live King Biscuit cd years ago but it didn't deliver what I was expecting at the time. Really liked the first series of Lovejoy and believe they used Steve Marriots house? Special mention please for Rough Diamond... if HP is as good as that then I will get this set!! Cheers!
