Thanks for the (again) great video. I want to ask if you could create an additional video where you give a deep dive in the steps that you performed in the program from 13:08 to merge the two point clouds? I do often have the same problem that merging using the builtin tool does not work and would really learn a way like you showed. How is that program called?

Hi, could you try the raptor in direct sunlight? or a very long scan with little detail (using markers) I hired a Einscan HD for a couple of weeks which worked great in the workshop but would lose tracking in direct sun or scanning a long object (2mtrs) even when using markers, the EinScan HX with blue laser was supposed to help but the HX is way out of my budget, While I understand the Raptor is a "Budget" Scanner your tests are proving it to be a very capable scanner.

Dashboard and console, I'd recommend Otter in large object mode. Try to pair it with laptop with Nvidia GPU at least RTX4060. POP3 can't see black/metallic and scans speed is only 12 FPS versus 30 FPS in Otter.

I've that Revopoint mini too. I know exactly how you feel. I'd recommend Raptor for mechanical object, it's easier to scan and the accuracy is high, up to 50 micron in my testing. But if you use Otter, the accuracy is lower, around 200 microns.
