    Video summary (starts at 5.12)
⏩ What affects the sound of our voice:
    1. Pitch: women have a higher pitch as compared to men.
    2. Volume: men have louder voices as compared to women.
    3. Culture and upbringing.
    4. Tone and rhythm. Control and use it the right way. Monotone is boring.
    ⏩ Tips:
    1. Breathe. Fill your lungs with enough air before and while speaking.
    2. Take pauses while you speak. They help the listener understand your message better and act as full stops to your sentences.
    3. Don't speak too fast or too slow.
    4. Have a straight posture while speaking as it allows air to enter your vocal cords more easily.
    5. Sip water to hydrate the vocal cords throughout your speech.
    6. Raise your voice, when necessary. If you want to draw attention, lower your voice. If you want to be heard by those at the back, raise your voice.
    7. Enunciation is important. It's different from pronounciation.
    8. Record yourself speaking. Avoid video filming as it may distract you from your actual voice.

I'd love to watch videos on:
    1. How to dress
    2. How to look confident in every situation
    3. How to speak confidently when you're nervous
    4. How to make small talks
    5. How to make conversation with someone you don't have much common with
    6. What to talk about when you accidentally bump into some old friend
    7. How to walk properly
    8. How to greet your guests
    9. How to behave properly when you're a guest
    10. How to NOT look rude

    • @juliancochran
      @juliancochran Год назад +1

      I’ll try to help.
      1. How to dress
Be yourself but tilt towards classical designs. History has a way of filtering out bad tastes.
      2. How to look confidently in all situations.
      This question is too broad.
      3. How to speak confidently when nervous
Avoid speaking and instead ask questions to obtain more clarity about the situation.
      4. How to make small talks
Avoid small talking, except to put attention on the other person, not yourself, with genuine kindness. Never involve degrading topics about someone not in the room.
      I’ll stop there..

I really like your video, this is absolutely useful! I am a very shy person and tend to speak softly in front of people, usually presenting a speech/ PowerPoint. I also tend to blush and speak with "emm" continuously as I'm not so confident of myself. Many teachers comment that they can't hear my voice when I'm talking but I actually thought that I spoke loud enough but not to others. With this video, I hope I can be more confident to speak loudly and powerfully.

Cheers from Bulgaria, dear Jamila! I've just stumbled upon your channel and love the presentation, advice and charisma you give off. Wishing you lots of success! An idea for a possible video: the etiquette of giving and receiving gifts, especially with the Christmas season coming for many people. Of course, it could just be about gifts for people who are our business partners, colleagues, etc. I know that some objects and colours vary across cultures. All the best!🌹

The first feature of your videos to catch my atention and keep me watching was precisely your voice. It's kind, pacient and has a good volume. Thank you for your hard work and your kindness.

I absolutely LOVE your voice! Its sooo relaxing. The perfect pitch and pace for me! Its so funny how some things that seem like failures in life turn out to be the greatest asset. Your voice is definitely something that sticks out in the Greatest way! Its very feminine and lady like!

Thanks for all your delightful tips 🌺🙏🏽 I think, another thing I will add is to look our audience in the eyes (without staring), a little like you do in your videos. When we're stressed, or too much in our heads (and trust me, I know), we tend to look away because we're thinking at the same time and not fully mindful of our interlocutor. So, yeah, I would add, finding a way to connect with the audience, through smiling and eye contact is a great way to go. Sometimes, our presentation would be average, but because our presence and level of "intimacy" with people was on point, people will remember us as very interesting and relatable.
