Hey Kubold. Is it possible to bring back those anecdotes from Pasek? I found them very interesting and it is a shame those historical accounts are gone from the history buff mode. I love the illustrations though so I think they should be mixed in with the illustrations from the manuals :).
Yes, I fully agree with you. The historical anecdotes are actually more helpful for the idea of a "history buff" mode teaching about history, they should've been kept, and I hope they will be.
@@ChillDudelD Yeah, I would push for even more historical accounts and info than we previously had if possible. Though I get that Kubold is focused on the story at the moment. The more from Poland or the time period broadly the better. It makes players want to play the mode more too if there are more texts to discover instead of seeing the same illustrations over and over again. (They are cool too! I just want texts along with them :) ) I am not sure I discovered all of them even with my multiple attempts as I always learned more things in the past.
I'm absolutely in love with this game, the fighting feels so natural and satisfying. I would love it even more if a replay function was added, including slow-motion.
Yeah, a replay mode similar to Skate 3, Session, etc, where you can re-watch the fight and seek back and forth at the speed you want. It would be great to analyse how you lost/won.
One thing that I'm missing, now that the game is in a more advanced state, is the promised unique grappling finisher move for each character. Too many of them share the beheading move (even Jacek, the Story Mode protagonist!) 🙏🏻
Seriously Kubold, the illustrations are great and all, but bring back the historical anecdotes, as they are more fitting of a "history buff" mode that is supposed to teach you history of the period.
Kubold, some characters have really cool and distinct alternate outfits, but some, like Isabella, have poor alternate skins. Others, like Marie, still don't have an alternate skin. Please take care of these visual details, as they are something that we players really appreciate.
The Kilij is such a nasty sword. Wish it popped limbs off often like it's supposed to 😂 Maybe that was horseback only but history says they'd take limbs off with no trouble
You should really find a way to show the art or historical message while loading the next scene, it urges to skip to loading and the opportunity to admire the artworks is kinda lost imo
@@thepixelstash3078Yeah, but that's just cosmetic (except for the boots IIRC). It makes no difference if you hit Samuel in the face or on the top of his helmet. That said, real armor in the game would be hard to implement in a satisfying way since rn you can't really control where an individual strike lands. Fighting an armored opponent would just lock you out of certain moves which does not exactly improve the gameplay experience.
Hmm, could you possibly add 3rd person rear view option. Since it's 3D and you have to move around and hit either left or right, having the ability to see where the opponent is cutting, dodging or blocking would be a tremendous advantage.
You would see better sideways, but you lose depth perception. I think the sideways view works better, since distance is extra important and this is an arcade 1on1 fighting game.
@@denisddd9362 Kubold already posted about this on Steam. Go read the post before you comment. In short it is neither financially feasible for him nor is it possible with current technology for a physics based ragdoll game like this to have multiplayer. If you have new technology that you can pitch to Kubold though feel free to try contacting him. Unfortunately though Kubold contacted developers and publishers about making the game online but they all agree it is impossible right now.
I think the game should go in the direction of letting you create your own fencer that can mix and match style, as in you chose, according to the weapon you use, which attacks are linked to each input a la kengo if anyone remembers. This would allow diversity and encountering a new fencer in online matches would be more incertain. I am daydreaming I know but who's with me on this one? Tldr: Custom characters with custom moves
@@HanSolo__ Yes I am aware of this so if you wield a rapier you only have access to the rapier's bank of attacks, like if you were to wield a dual sword you could mix isabella's and father zera's styles to make your own style of fencing, but it would mean adding more attacks to yendrek's, or allowing less performing attacks to be done with the wrong weapon but you chose actually, idk if what i'm explaining is clear enough lol, sorry if not.

@@JohnPsi Without blade control in the game, having a Destreza character (Marta) feels a bit underwhelming, like it's pseudo-Destreza 🤷🏻♂️ What I really want to see is a rapier and dagger character, that could be sick 😎
This game could have been much more than it is. Looking at the videos from it I was so hyped to play it. Then I actually did play it and the combat system is sadly based on a very simple mechanic that just rewards player for being inactive. Sorry to say that I am disappointed but I am. Maybe you can make an actual VR version of this? Not just the silly thing that you call VR now? That might be the thing that blows this title to the whole world. Let's see.
Well, don't forget about the stamina system, once it's drained whoever defends won't be able to hold up their weapon as well (same for the attacker), plus the game is inspired by Bushido Blade which has the same automatic blocking system

There's already a boss with armor so the system is in the game
