This shit just makes me feel so good! So glad to reconnect here. I found this album (CD) in a used pile at a CD shop. that guitar, that humor, it kicked my ass. Morris Day's name randomly popped into my mind a few minutes ago and I have no idea why. It was remembering (again randomly.?), "Gimme a little bit o' that salt..." The line is something that has always stuck with me for its professional silliness, instantly endearing when I first heard it. And for a while now I couldn't remember the artists name. But today before the usual intrusive thought got a voice-- as if cued and waiting-- the monologue said "Morris Day."
There were always rock elements in the band, they just don't get watered down on this album. Part of the reason for that is that the first few albums were Prince & Morris and the band didn't actually get to play till they were on the road.

Living colour got it from them.
Morris Day he's just trying to make it these days cuz without Prince there's no Morris Day
This was released in the early 90s. The people around Prince helped his success.
Morris and The Time are all talented and legendary in their own right.
@@leem7393 🎶💜💜Yes they did cause they care for another, I understand, Morris had it going on back in the day.
@@amirjahleelbaniephraim4435 🎼💜🎶 you're absolutely right, and I guess they still are thank you for sharing
Jamie Trevino Morris Day& The Time has just as much talent as Prince ask their fanbase.
