What a RUclips find! I wore this recording out back in 92. I sadly remember the day the tape broke. This was from In Concert '91. I remember recording it off of ABC, channel 7 in Chicago. The Scorpions were featured mainly in this show. This was the only MR.BIG song on the show. During the credits, there was a shot of them rehearsing the chorus to Green Tinted 60s Mind backstage. MR.BIG... what a killer band.
OMG, caught these fab four rockers quite a couple of times in my life but they never played this song (ITS MY FAV). Also fanboyed and got to meet them back in 95. So damn honored
this is what I call rock music ... 2021 still love them and listen their songs ... and I think I always will ... that voices ... harmonies ... energie ... everything is perfect ... Eric and Pat were perfect in this performance ... great musicians .... JUST GREAT ... always performing with their HEART'S OUT ... one and only ... Rip Mr. Pat Torpey
Lost and alone in this city of darkness Empty of lovers and full of lies You build a wall between your dreams and the madness I reach out my hand but you run and hide I've watched you cry in the rain I wanna bring back the joy again Open your heart to mine I believe, I believe, you won't be sorry This time-baby Open your heart tonight I believe, I believe you might Be lucky this time You might be lucky this time No guarantees whenyou risk your emotion So you surrender and it all went astray Bitter and hopeless in your cold isolation But you my love won't ever fade away i wanna dry all your tears You know there's nothin' to fear, baby [Chorus] And when the shadows start to fall Let my love break down the walls

They are long-deserving of this 31+yrs recognition. Get your friends to write in also, the more the nominations that are sent in, then they WILL be inducted! Thank you!
At the end of this episode of In Concert, they showed Mr. Big back stage singing Green Tinted 60's Mind acapella. I've been searching for that clip and unfortunately it isn't here lol.
So amazing he’s got steam coming off the top of his head. That always cracked me up whenever I watched this after taping it to VHS when it first aired. All kidding aside. Nice harmonic octave picking. A very cool and rarely used technique.
I kind of recall this ABC series and totally would have watched this episode. But I don't think they (ABC) told us who the featured guest would be until they aired the episode.
It was a summer series of concerts in 1991 performed for & produced by ABC that aired on Friday nights. I remember seeing this one, which also featured Scorpions, while living in a suburb of Baltimore. This was the first time I heard this song and loved it. I would later first hear the studio version in the backyard of a friend’s house who had a shortwave receiver and was listening to a radio broadcast out of Singapore or Malaysia when this song just happened to be the one they played. The live San Francisco performance can be found on RUclips.
1991 was the incredible year for young rock and roll lovers like me.
KILLER band...ONE OF THE BEST I have EVER seen....right up there with Van Halen....GREAT singer
Perfect vocal Eric, power, technique, softness, and a monstrous charisma.
RIP, Pat...this is how I will remember you.

Betul... Greeting from Indonesia
Lost and alone in this city of darkness
Empty of lovers and full of lies
You build a wall between your dreams and the madness
I reach out my hand but you run and hide
I've watched you cry in the rain
I wanna bring back the joy again
Open your heart to mine
I believe, I believe, you won't be sorry
This time-baby
Open your heart tonight
I believe, I believe you might
Be lucky this time
You might be lucky this time
No guarantees whenyou risk your emotion
So you surrender and it all went astray
Bitter and hopeless in your cold isolation
But you my love won't ever fade away
i wanna dry all your tears
You know there's nothin' to fear, baby
[Chorus]
And when the shadows start to fall
Let my love break down the walls
eric martin voice is awesome
