Dutch not getting enough respect from media and pundits Social media sites like X are just nonsensical comments. Oranje have plenty of quality.
A win or draw on Friday would be a great statement.
I really enjoy the Dutch football over the years. And even though I genuinely believe that Oranje have a very talented goalkeeper, plus one of the best defensive lines (if not the best) in international football, I'm still not quite convinced by the attack. Nowhere near the quality of former players like Bergkamp, Kluivert, Nistelrooy, Van Persie, Sneijder, Robben, etc. not to mention the Class of 88. Perhaps lacking the typical Dutch centre-forward.... would've been interesting to watch Dalinga in Oranje jersey.

2-0 for the Netherlands sounds very ambitious. France never lost any main tournament game (WC, Euros, Nations League Finals) by more than 1 goal since Deschamps took over. He's the main weapon for the French, more than Mbappé or anyone else, he almost always finds the solution to beat his opponents.
I think France has a major advantage on the wings compared to the Dutch, especially if Koeman sticks to his 3-5-2. Dumfries and whoever plays on the left are gonna have a hard time vs Dembele, Barcola, Coman, Thuram, Kolo Muani, Hernandez or even Clauss if Deschamps gives him a chance.
So you think a 4-3-3 would be wiser?
@@FootballOranje I think it would yeah, at least defensively. You could still rotate while in possession to have that back 3 that allows to beat the press more easily in the build-up.
Oranje Koeman should absolutely NOT start Geertruida who was horrendous in both Qualifiers against France. His positional play is very poor and he switches off way too much.
What I would like to see is a 5-3-2:
Verbruggen - Frimpong-Geertruida-Van Dijk-Ake-Van de Ven-Reijnders-Scouten-Xavi(at 10)-Gakpo-Memphis
But I think Koeman will stick with Dumfries and De Vrij
We could also play with a back four of Geertruida-De Vrij-Van Dijk-Ake with Reijnders-Schouten double pivot and Xavi at 10 and then have Gakpo and Frimpong on the wings with Depay at striker.
Favorites are Germany France Spain I’d say :)
5-3-2 will be practical. For me, with Verbruggen ,
Dumfries - Getruida (wish De Ligt) - Van Dijk - Ake - Van De Ven
Reijnders - Schouten- Veerman (prefer Gravenberch)
Memphis - Gakpo.
Predictions - Dutch win or a draw.
