🔗 Chris' behaviour never sat right with me. I remember watching him be one of four artists tattooing one person at the same time, who was clearly struggling with all of the pain to the point where she literally had a panic attack, and he mocked her hyperventilation RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. He then mentioned being a marine and how he didn't believe that she was really in that much pain (apparently being a marine means lacking empathy, who knew?), and cared more about the tattoo not being done and his performance on the show suffering than he did the suffering of the canvas. I know Ink Master tends to make people out to be worse than they actually are but I've really never liked him.
EDIT: "he was competing for a prize", "she should've known her pain tolerance", "she ruined his chances of winning". good points. still not an excuse to mock a panic attack victim and use being a marine as an excuse for being an asshole.

Didn’t he mention being a marine like EVERY episode, the almost virtue signalling with the “I’m a marine!1!1! So I’m a good person!1!1!” All the time makes sense when you find out what kind of a person he is

Honestly, I can understand his frustration. If you go on ink master as a canvas, you should know what you are signing up for. Not just doing it for a free tattoo. The canvas tapping out ruins their chances of competing. Should he have handled it better, of course.
Side note on military men that I know. Most have emotional issues of some kind, lacking emotional depth and understanding. On the worse end of the scale just full on narcissists. My father is a Navy man and is 76yrs old and to this day will loose his shit if you disagree with him. He took great care of our family but again lacks emotional depth and lashes out when not getting his way.

Abusers that strangle are the deadliest abusers out there, and are 7 times more likely to murder their victim than abusers that don't strangle, but engage in other forms of physical abuse. And they become repeat offenders. Anybody that strangles anyone needs to be in prison with court ordered therapy. My neighbor's ex strangled her. We found his record - he'd been charged with strangulation twice before her. To anyone in a domestic violence situation right now, if you get strangled, you are past the point of no return in terms of trusting you will live through it if you stay. Call your local DV hotline, and get out. If you go back, don't beat yourself up, just get out as soon as you can again and know that it takes most people multiple tries to leave their abuser and it doesn't mean that you won't one day find the courage to leave for good. Much love to you and I wish you safety and support

That part of the show, believe it or not was scripted.. Mr. Blinston was doing what he was told to.. hindsight he realized how this made him look.. I know personally that none of these things are true.. I sickens me that TMZ made him look so bad.. if anyone actually looked into what happened they would see he was Exonerated fro all charges and has 90% custody of his children. He has a good heart, was a fantastic service record in the military and took all of the money he made from INK MASTERS and bought Christmas for a child dying of cancer. No one mentions that … but they will post a mug shot… Chis’ worst crime was dating the wrong person. Btw.. the baby momma that accused Christ of “DV” .. her best friend and work associate was convicted of hit and run after all day drinking in Miami.. while chris was at PTA with his children.. sad that he still has to defend himself over a scripted “Reality” based tv show.

So, I'm an adult learning to drive. I shit you not, the other day to try to ease my fear while highway driving my roommate who was teaching me said "Hey, keep in mind. If someone rams you, you get money." I joked in the past when I'd use my bike and walked to get around that if someone hits me I'd get a big pay out. But I'm normally not entirely serious.
Almost 3 years ago this roommate caused a (I believe) 4 (maybe 5) car accident while texting and driving. It came back to bite him now because someone realized they could get him to pay for the damages as long as they filed before the statute of limitations (my state is 3 years for that).
I just want to be able to get places in a reasonable amount of time (I live off the side of a highway), I'm not actually looking for a pay out if I get hit. (Though I have had people swerve toward me while I straddle the ditch on my bike and walking. Some people suck. Though surprisingly, no one has tried stealing my bike. I have a small U lock for it, but the two places near my house have no place to lock it. I just have to trust that someone won't think my bike is snazzy with it's thing that makes the back wheel light up when it's on and steal it)

I couldn't stand Chris and I never found him intimidating. He seemed like an awful person who tried using his size and his marine status to get his way. He treated one of his 'canvasses' abominably when he and three others on his team attempted to put four HUGE tattoos on her small body at the same time. He made fun of her when she started shaking uncontrollably and called her a drama queen as she was going into shock. Oh and she heard it all. I was so angry!

    • @Musical_Pigeon
      @Musical_Pigeon 2 года назад +16

I remember that. My first tattoo (I believe this wasn't her first one tho) my artist leaned the chair back a bit, gave me a bottle of water and reassured me occasionally that we can take a break anytime I need (which I know it's really doable with a timed challenge) but I was at least taken care of. He said that since it was my first tattoo and I was nervous he didn't want me to get too nervous and by tilting the chair back, if I passed out I wouldn't fall over my leg that was being tattooed. It was fine, now almost 3 years later I know how much pain I can handle before feeling like I'm gonna pass out (It's a lot more than getting a tattoo).
I don't really fear people bigger than me, which is something my brother and boyfriend both find funny and terrifying. I also learned from my boyfriend's family (many members went into the army in some way, (His dad was a medic, his cousin did stuff that he doesn't like to talk about, his uncle is a drill sergeant, he was an MP, and I know there's other members that did/do military stuff but his family is big and I don't remember it all) that marines aren't all that great and that if they're using their status as a marine or former marine to get respect and to treat people badly they didn't learn anything.
Fun fact: I had a friend in the army reserves tell me that I'm an air force kind of person, and that he recommends that if for any reason I (as a girl) need to join the military or get drafted, I go there. Then someone spilled the beans to him that my heart beats like I'm doing moderate exercise when I'd chilling on the couch and he said the military wouldn't accent me (which I think is rude of the military)

Choking is the number 1 indicator that you will be murdered in intimate relationships. Statistically, once someone has reached the point of choking another person it will almost always end in attempted (or successful) murder of the victim unless they are able to leave. There is also a pretty sizable chance of someone who is choked to go into cardiac arrest and die even if the intention is not to murder them. Choking, especially in the heat of the moment or during an argument, is never, ever acceptable no matter who is doing it or why. There is no excuse for it and for anyone who might be experiencing that sort of abuse you need to gtfo immediately.
I think it's wrong, and even irresponsible, to frame some of the things as "this is just a toxic situation" when there is no concrete proof in favor or against the allegations. This is such a highly complex issue to begin with, let alone pass any sort of judgement or "people can change" empty comments about it. I highly recommend reading "An Unbelievable Case of Rape" on ProPublica about how a woman wasn't believed when she reported her attack, and how it led to "experts" twisting the narrative until to make her believe she was lying until photographic proof was found later.

Also, I too hate when people say that if the court's haven't convicted someone it means we can't know if they did it. Historians and other academics don't go but that high of a standard and are still usually right. By that logic, organized crime doesn't exist because we haven't convicted them of their actions in court a lot of the time but we all know that isn't true.

@@joeblow9657 there's a massive difference between not being convicted and the prosecutor not even attempting to bring charges. In a case involving hurting your own child, not even attempting to go to a grand jury essentially means they know it didn't happen. If there was any evidence whatsoever, in any way, they'd at least bring it to a grand jury. Hurting your own kid is something a prosecutor will charge you with if they thought there was any chance at all it actually occurred. For them to drop that charge, they know he didn't touch her. If he'd been found not guilty at a trial, then you can make the comparison with the mob. Sounds like that mother is unbelievably vindictive and used her child to try and get custody and put him in prison. That's really the only possible scenario that makes any sense.

The car was in his name and friends knew that he was driving. There was no fleeing the scene in a case like this. I feel bad for Daniel. I was telling her what happened, and he obviously heard, which I didnt mind. But he started making the most horrible comments. I remember more how I felt more than his exact words, but it wasn't just 1 comment, it was many. Mainly, he was hitting on me via down-talking my bf who was literally in rehab for a 5150 after trying suicide.

Not a lawyer, but a student. The response by the insurance company to answer the claim of the family saying that Corey assumed his own risk is right. Mor ein California, if you're a passenger and you voluntarily decide to get in a car with a drunk driver, you assume the risk because you, as a rational adult, could have just not gotten in the car. It's pretty cold response but it's completely valid defense.

Don't know ow what to think about Chris's situation but as far as Daniel's situation, suing him AND his company was all about MONEY , that's the only reason . They tried to sue his company because he could've said his money was not his but the company's so they would've got nothing had they just tried to sue him. As far as their statement in dropping it and not wanting him to go to prison for an accident that probably because once the facts of the incident were released they realised they had no grounds to sue and then wanted to appear as being forgiving. Suing somebody in that situation is all about the money , NOT GRIEF

Lol, 2nd degree murder is kind of a crazy charge for a car crash. Because that implies that he crashed the car on purpose... it's manslaughter by definition.
And yeah, if you willingly get into a car with a driver you know is drunk, that is a total lapse of judgement.
A responsible friend takes his friend's keys... not jumps into the car with them.
... But then it turns out he was neither drunk nor speeding by much margin. The cops and prosecutors are totally overreaching for cookie points on their professional record.

But Corey was likely even more drunk than Daniel(since it was Corey’s birthday) and Daniel shouldn’t known not to drive drunk, period.
It’s Daniel’s fault and he should be in prison for way longer. And the fact that he tried to run from the accident and not help Corey just proves that he knew what he did was wrong and he messed up.
Don’t blame the victim, that’s just unnecessary.

    • @rookbennett2679

@@HalfNHalf. him also being drunk is irrelevant. if being drunk absolves him from any responsibility, then the same goes for daniel. by your logic, Corey should have known not to get in the car with a drunk driver. period. he didnt try to leave the scene. he was injured, disoriented, and trying to get away from the damaged car. "blaming the victim" implies there was a victim of a crime, not an accident. you obviously either didnt finish the video or are purposely ignoring facts.

Well, for those who felt sorry for him in that episode, we’ll let me tell you, I have NO sympathy for people who are willing to shoot unarmed civilians! No I am not kidding, Kito was arrested for shooting his girlfriend’s baby daddy. Kito tried to cover this by saying it was an act of self defense, but the victim said that he was on duty in maintenance when Kito shot him, so why, anyone fell sorry for him now?

Usually the reason that they try to bring in something like his tattoo company into the lawsuit is so they can include the company as someone who is included being sued. First, if both are found responsible, it can result in more money being given, since both have to pay out. Second, if something gets messed up in a trial and one party is found to not be responsible for the action, then they still have one other party on the line to have to pay out. For example, when I was a paralegal, we had a case where a construction worker holding the stop sign for traffic, to keep the construction workers safe was run over by a man who was drinking and driving, while he was driving for his job. The attorney I worked for handled the case for the construction worker, and we sued both the driver and the company for which the driver was driving when he hit him. The attorney made a mistake in the case, because he forgot to enter some paperwork into evidence that named the driver as the one driving the vehicle, and since he had not, during the time we were presenting the case, proven that the driver was the one behind the wheel, even though it was clear he was, the case against the driver was dismissed. Had we not also sued the company, that would have meant the end of the case for our client. Instead, our client still received a payout from the company, since they knew that he had a history of driving while drinking and kept him on the job.
