Lyrics:
Boots on and endless, virgin, white canvas.
I come to my senses on a cold blue morning.
Open my eyes on the world.
All without hope, without pain I'm alone in a world full of turmoil and strife.
But I'm alive and I know I'll survive, I will make it
The stage set for greatness
With no audience to witness the cast take their place
Raise the curtain and let the drama unfold
All told we'll be glad that we got to play
Open my eyes, take a stand on the road that will lead me into the dawn
I don't know where It will take me to
But I know I'm alive and I will make my way
Make my choice I finally see that I am finally free
See me, hear me take my hand
I will follow you If you will follow me
I am not alone here

Makes me wonder who’s perspective this song is in? Your main pawn’s or…the dragon’s? Cause that finally free lyric could apply to the dragon since he’s as stuck to this cruel cycle just like the Arisen.
@@GunthersLoyalSoldier1307 The point of both Dragon Dogma games is for the Arisen to break the cycle or continue it, so the song is probably from that perspective. The song can be obtained only by breaking the cycle.
@@silentgameplays I don’t think it’s the Arisen’s cause the lyrics sound like a person is saying it to someone else. If it’s from the Arisen’s perspective then who is the Arisen talking to? This is why I believe it’s the dragon talking to the Arisen.
@@GunthersLoyalSoldier1307 But here is the catch. The Dragon is the Arisen in both games.
You should watch this video which sums up the lore for both games nicely:

@@silentgameplays Yeah, I know the Arisen becomes the dragon if he or she dies by the dragon’s hand. My point is, the dragon is just as trapped in this cycle. Even after you kill the dragon in the second game, he says that the Arisen’s Will might be able to break the cycle, right?
@@GunthersLoyalSoldier1307 Yes, and according to at least the first game and with "subtle" hints in the second game on and on it goes. But the point of the first game was that Dragon was the Arisen or Fallen Arisen and they all continue to fight each other in order for the cycle to continue, second game seems to follow the same pattern but without the Arisen having the option to control everything as the The Seneschal is an Arisen who has conquered all in their path and shown incredible willpower, becoming the guardian of the world, Rothais in the second game.
As for breaking the cycle it seems that the cycle is broken only for one Arisen and their pawn at the time in the first game, nothing changes anyway and cycle continues in the second game, thanks to the Pathfinder.
