Sir, let me add my thanks to the long list of other grateful folks. One door took me four hours, but I eventually got everything where it belongs. The power door lock works now. I wouldn't have attempted it if it weren't for your video.

I also love the teflon dry lube you link to. I've used it on everything from lock tumblers to the refrigerator door. I don't have an F350, but the educational quality of this video is excellent!

2003 F350 application.!! Thanks for the video. Very helpful, but I eliminated the steps of removing the locking mechanism (3 screws) and outside door handle. With a little bit of effort, I was able to remove the actuator. It took a bit of patience, and several screwdrivers, but it can be done. Appreciated the help.

Thanks for sharing! The mechanism close up pics/video were great and you covered most details necessary for a successful replacement by an average DIYer. I replaced mine today with an OEM Motorcraft unit (part # (SW-6953) or (6L3Z-25218A42-AA) and it looked identical.

Thanks much for this video. You turned what was looking like an all day job into something less than an hour with a break for snacks

I perform most work on my '03 F-350 SD 4X2, V10. Great truck! Any videos about any repairs would be appreciated. Rear diff oil change, water pump R&R, radiator R&R, back flushing coolant system, injector R&R, diagnosing general issues with this vintage truck's V10, etc.

What made you determine it was the actuator? My front doors will not lock or unlock via power buttons or key fob but will work manually. Already tried a new power switch and didnt fix issue. Is this what i need to look into next?

Thanks for video.Could not of changed my door lock actuator with out it…🤙🤙🤙🤙

  • @EvangelistFredHiggins

My right rear door, will unlock but not lock. It makes a noise like it's trying to work. Do you think it's the actuator that's bad or something else? 5 years ago wasn't working at all and I replaced it with the same one in your link.

  • @timinwisco4921

Question, How do you remove the "other" electrical piece for the latch? It's the little white one on the bottom. I'm replacing the whole latch and the new latch doesn't come with the actuator or the little one on the bottom
