Its a know brainer, Khan as over stayed his welcome as Mayor for London. Time for him to go.
How do you know it's a know brainer?
I never voted for Khan!
@@Thomes-MaislingNo brainer.
We don’t want this man in power.
Get rid of him
God bless london and the future of Britain 🇬🇧🏴🙏🏼❤️
London had become unbearable. I really want khan out but I don't have much hope. I want to move out of London 😢
Do it friend. Moved my family to essex 6 years ago. Best thing we ever did. London is now a toilet

Yes, and vote Susan Hall in
Absolutely and I will personally be walking door to door to get him out of London.
What a sad obsession.

Why do you hate him so much paul?
@henreereeman8529 if you lived in London you would understand why
Well done lad, get your liberal Londoners to vote with you. Khan isn’t for British people
Yes, we will vote him out
Who will you vote for?
@@membershipofbus tactics, not Khan first, not the tories, Campbell first..
I hope we will soon be free of Sadiq Khan. Freedom pass, and 60 plus oystercard holders, will not be voting
for Sadiq Khan! It is not just those with cars affected by Ulez! It is council
Tax payers to, he has been every year raised his part of the council tax a huge amount!
He will continue to be elected by his ever increasing minority.
Yes absolutely shocking… and nobody seems to do anything about it… everyone else just keeps on moving out of London!
@@catherinemontblanc1430im afraid to say London has fallen
A disgrace that the vote will now be FPtP.
The difference between Khan and Susan Hall is reducing. Let's vote for change. Sadiq Khan out and Tories un Parliament OUT!
Susan Hall rules
I hope that Sadiq Khan loses the mayoral election. Crime has risen exponentially since he took over. The Metropolitan Police have come to be seen as a political force during his Mayoralty. ULEZ is deeply unpopular and, as with everything Mayor Khan does, it is not as "honest" as it appears. His idea of cleaning up the air is excellent but, of course, it has a subtext and one can pay to not keep it clean and that has a whiff of corruption.
really cannot understand why any sane person would vote for the thing that is crushing the lifeforce out of the capital.
Why doesn’t London mayor wear on of those be gold chains like proper mayors do? Mayors need that bling bling 🤑
This is the best comment I've seen in this whole thread!
He's not the mayor of the city of London. Which is a city state . He has no jurisdiction in the city of London. In fact the city of London should ban his congestion charge and ulez charge in the city of London.
I can only speak for myself but the ULEZ has been a huge benefit to air quality in my part of London. You can actually feel the improvement when you breathe.
HE MUST HAVE SOLD THEM
Mayor Khan is a political mayor, the chains are worn by the Lord Mayor which is a different role - Mayor of the City of London.
I think The New Statesman should consider investing in some air conditioning!
That mayor makes everyone sweat!
@rafchurchlawford4469 you'll be sweating when someone like Sean baily or another sort of neocon is elected.
lol
Would that be an anti sacred cow net zero? 🤣
My car isn't new enough / expensive enough to be ULEZ compliant, but thanks to the exceptional public transport London has I have no need to enter the zone with my car.
Everything else I can do outside the ULEZ.
Unlucky
No mention of our use of our Freedom pass / 60 plus oystercard 4.30 am - 9.00 am, that Sadiq Khan took from
us Mon - Fri!
Really...what are the times?
I truly hope so, he has let the capital become a disgrace. Rubbish everywhere yesterday in London. People riding bikes on pavements along with eletric scooters. Why is it we have given over the safe haven of the pavements, to bikes and scooters. The pavements should be a safe place for the elderly, blind, deaf, disabled and children etc.
Please get out and vote khan into oblivion Londoners, the rest of the country is behind you.
Vote the little liar out.
I imagine only a really strong none main streem candidate could possibility beat him
Back to school with you!
I love how angry people are getting over ULEZ and they're actually exempt.
Cos it’s BS ppl are getting charged £12.50 daily for driving around the city when ppl can’t afford ULEZ exempt cars cos ppl are struggling with the cost of living, higher taxes ULEZ is not needed when we are getting taxed a lot 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Because its morally wrong its hitt8ng rhe poorest in society. Labour is meant to be for the poor .Do me a favour socialist policies always end up hitting the worst off .Why he is chauffeur driven around London in a 300k bullet proof Range Rover
Will the Shaun Bailey party video weigh against him?
Why did they get rid of the alternative vote that’s not very democratic
So the Tories could win the Bedford Mayoralty with only 33% of the vote. 🤷🏽♂️
Also it was Supplementary vote, you only had a two preferences, in Alternative Vote, you get to rank all the available choices.
Not a chance, look at those that vote for him, if an Imam tells you then no choice you do it.
Lmao
He will get in again, his vision of London is the Wild West
he will get in again as he has about 75% of the london population on speed dial
Vote him out
I think Sadiq needs to project himself more. Personalities are very important in Mayoral elections, and he doesn’t come across very well. He also talks too fast which makes his arguments hard to follow, however sound they are. I’m a strong supporter of ULEZ extension but he is not winning this just now.
In my family, we lost one of our car because of ULEZ but still I will vote for Khan because ULEZ really helped reducing down pollution in London.
Lmfao this has aged well
Her argument that Scottish voters are sophisticated in their understanding of what is controlled by Westminster and what is controlled by Holyrood is rather undermined by the evidence that the SNP has successfully managed to blame Westminster for the failings of Holyrood.
Parties, Labour or otherwise, taking their voters for granted is another byproduct of FPTP.
NO
No.
I think he will win, But by a smaller margin
The imposition of ULEZ will certainly reduce support for him amongst those who it’s costing very dearly. Much as I support his aim to reduce pollution, those on lower incomes who can least afford to buy newer vehicles meeting the ULEZ emissions criteria will be far less likely to vote for him. I think he’ll still win but with a smaller majority, mainly because of the loss of support for the Tories nationally.
This is probably his calculation, he can afford to take the hit for this in exchange for a more direct & overt drive for change. The scrappage scheme definitely sounds like it's far from fit for purpose to assist those on lower incomes though.
Can you not see how dishonest he has been in terms of pollution, deaths and ULEZ? Can you not see his complete disregard for the toxicity of air on the underground. The man is not for reducing pollution.
@@MrFas4wd what are you referencing in terms of air quality on the underground?
Also most Londoners don't live on the underground. They do live by roads though.
@@InnuendoXP I’m referencing him completely ignoring the underground in favour of a chargeable system to an area that has little to no toxic air and where his ULEZ will do nothing to change that. That’s according to his own analysis. People who live in these areas, don’t want it themselves. Also, you don’t have to live on the tube to get affected. The amount of pollution down there, a couple of hours is enough.
Who, exactly, is it costing very dearly?
London has phenomenal public transport in comparison to the rest of the country.
Is it outlandish to say that the blue wall could in future become a Labour stronghold?
I'm definitely not voting for him.
I hope we introduce Single Transferable Vote as this would be so much more representative of what people of London actually need and want. I am sure there are many who would love to vote for smaller parties even as their second choice like Greens, or Liberal or what ever. The fptp voting is extremely unrepresentative vote of the people and only allows for two major parties to participate.
giving that we rely on trees to provide us with O2 this can only be achieved if there is enough c02 for the trees to provide us with our life force, so there I rest my case.
Nah. He's up against one of three no hoper Tories. Next question?
Just check out the enormous impact on child health and pregnant women of diesel particulates. Is looking after the health of the children, elderly, and women a bad thing?
They only care that the cancer rate remains artificially high at 1 in 2 developing the illness.
Simple answer Saiq kahn has allready lost...
I pray for him to go everyday. It was my biggest mistake to vote for him.
Brexit costs us a lot but his £12.50 charge is even worst.
It's not his charge. It's a governmental thing, a thing that's being introduced nationally over time. They can implement it in labour held cities first and make all the ppl angry.
@@DJWESG1 It is. He could leave it until 2025. He installed cameras and signed contracts knowing people did not like it. He could wait. Same in Lamberth 59% people were not happy with increasing their parking charges and the labour introduced it anyway. Same is in my area.
Labour does not respect voters. So next election - no plan for Brexit, certain corruption like it usally is and making me walk.
No thank you.
That 12.50 at least pays for the treatment of all the ills caused by pollution
You Sir, are a mor-on
Blame Boris and Shapps for ULEZ
I'm sure a lot of car drivers think he should loose a couple of other things .
His shoes?
Chuck the Khan out come May 2024
For any headlines ending with a question mark, the answer is 'No'.
NEVER THE NUT CASE WILL BE VOTED IN BY HES OWN
Depend on peoples to whome select Leader what silly question did that
Just remember that a Diesel engine produces half the CO2 of a petrol and the EU6 standards are as clean as EU6 standard petrol engines
Ignoring that that claim is disingenuous because diesel primarily performs best at high gears, which you don't get in cities ULEZ is not primarily about CO2 though, it's about other particle emissions that lead to air pollution, which diesel emits far more of than unleaded
@@evildude951 suggest you read the EU6 on specs and of course lower CO2 from diesels. The biggest source of harmful particles are wood burning stoves
London voters: "ergh cough, gough, hurrrrk ptui! London is filthy and my children all have asthma and COPD!"
Also London Voters: "yeah, but I still wanna drive my car! WAAAAAAH!!!!! couch cough hurrk ptui..."
Good old British voters...
sad but true lol
Dear God. You clearly don't live anywhere near London if that's your assumption. Do you know how much it costs?
They can drive but electric or hydrogen cars. But if you can’t afford these cars, then it’s not helpful is it. Taxing people with a congestion charge
@@alexander92179 Yes... And it wouldn't be much of a deterrent if people could easily afford it, would it?
Seriously, turn your brain on...
@@jakehowie442 It's designed as a DETERRENT to using older, more polluting motor vehicles in order to bring pollution down in-line with government legislation and encourage people to walk, cycle or take public transport whenever possible. That's why it's so expensive. But I'll also point out that pretty much ANY normal vehicle built after 2005 will pass the emissions test and NOT RESULT IN A CHARGE.
If it was a tax, it wouldn't be so high that people burst into tears at the mere suggestion of having to pay it.
If people can't grasp that, I do NOT know what to say, other than "enjoy vandalising signposts and blaming this on the Mayor, when it was the Tories finally doing something sensible, you absolute cretins."
When you hear him on LBC mainly obriens show hes either allegedly dishonest or hes allegedly empathy to the londoners whom he speaks to hes likely to be Allegedly one of the two😮
I hope he does lose
I agree with the commenter: I think ULEZ will turn out to be a ‘let them eat cake moment’. Whether it sways the election, don’t know?
Corrupt.
All of his Muslim mates will vote him back in
The rest of us must go out on mass to vote him out!
QTWAIN?
Absolutely and the traffic will be his undoing.
So...well,...noch'ma?
ULEZ in London given to London by Boris, the extension given to London by Boris and Shapps. If Kahn does not do it he looses funding for TFL.
Khan is the worst Mayor we have ever had by a distance
I wish he would go, but I don't think it will happen.
will lockdown party attendee Shaun Bailey be the tory candidate?
I struggling to concentrate when Freddie is talking.
I don't agree Khan didn't do that well. His second term results were better than Johnson & almost exactly matched Ken Livingston.
2nd Term London Mayor results
55.4% Livingston
51.5% Johnson
55.2% Khan
But the demographics in London are changing every year so fast. It's hard to judge on polls.
lol, khan did not do well, too many people have party tinted glasses when looking at things
Compared to the polls though and compared to, say, Andy Burnham in Manchester. The polls were showing a big victory for Khan. I just think London is still a lot more Tory in its politics than some now think, especially since Brexit. The Tories have 9 Assembly members. Hardly a wipe out. Bailey got 45% of the vote, a pretty big minority vote, for a city that some now refer to as a Labour city. In Liverpool the Tories got less than 20%. Now that's a Labour city, or at least a very anti Tory one. If the Tories run a good candidate then I definitely think they could win, potentially. Where as in Liverpool or Manchester they could put up the greatest candidate ever and still lose.
Deus Vult 🙏
No he wont lose. Yes people get pissed at ULEZ (primarily buy to let landlords who live in the home counties outside London) but that is not enough to get rid of him.
ULEZ is the VAR of London politics. Everyone says they hate it, but they still watch football in the end don't they.
Plus the Tories are like the Omnidroid in the Incredibles punching holes in itself.
Sadiq has been a much more effective mayor than Johnson before him. Especially looking at the finances even after the Tories imposed cuts.
Hes going to get smashed hes not going to be in power if he don't lose at the box .He will be forced out the man is finished
Those who live in the Home Counties can't even vote for him, the worry is people in places like Bromley and Havering which still identify with Kent and Essex respectively, despite not being in those counties for 60 years
And would a Tory mayor remove ULEZ? Of course not as it’s a national policy. I bet if they get in the charge doubles and the classic car exemption goes.
Reform would get rid of Ulezzzzzzz
@@catherinemontblanc1430 as if they really would! They wouldn’t. They can offer the moon on a stick as they have no policies and no chance of election.
I voted for him last time. I doubt I will give for him in 2024.
