It’s a FPTP election.
Because all of those are joke candidates, these are the only candidates who have a chance to get more than 5% of the vote. The others range from loonies to fascists. And then there's Binface.

I like Zoe and Rob, but no one will vote for them and we can't let Susan win... so vote Sadiq, he should have more leverage when Labour get into power
True, plus if there are preferences for greens or Lib dem policies, vote for them in the assembly, then they can better hold Sadiq to account, and push him in their direction
I wouldn't think like this, sure the voting system has changed to FPTP (a vote for a third party makes one of the main two you dislike more win, which incentives you to vote for them) but just look at the tories in the polls, and the candidate. There is a near zero chance the Conservatives will win. Vote for the party you want to and maybe they will get big enough to influence policies (like the Greens). I would only vote Labour no matter what if it was close.
The Tories have truly let themselves down, Susan Hall was the best they could do? She had no hard facts to contribute, keep telling us it's 'written down' giving the voter unnecessary homework instead of answering the questions asked. I downloaded her manifesto and it is that detailed so i wonder where all this info that she is talking about is written. She has no new ideas on how to tackle not just the effect of crime but the cause. She doesn't have any facts just anecdotes whilst important but don't represent the real scale of things. Truly terrible, as for Lim Dems I don't know why he even turned up, he was sleeping throughout the debate.

None of his “policies” are noteworthy for working Londoners. Name one, apart from giving free meals to people who can afford them, free school meals have been available for people who honestly can’t afford them for decades!

She can't string a coherent sentence together, her answer to every question is "I don't know, it's written down", "yeah but what about Khan", unable to perform the basic duty of a competent orater, articulating her vision for the post.
It has nothing to do with her being a woman, people like you take a protected characteristic and use it as a shield for terrible policy and minimal competency 👍
@@tylerlovatt8586 i can't think of a suitable Tory candidate. More importantly whoever the Tories chose they would have lost against virtually any Labour candidate in the current climate, let alone in London, which is generally more liberal/left than the rest of the country. Pinning hopes on ULEZ anger in a city where most people don't own a car, and most drivers are ULEZ compliant is not going to push them over the edge. At the GE the Tories are on course to lose all their London MP's.
@@zivkovicableulez affects 4 million people and a recent BBC poll showed 82% of Londoners strongly disapprove of Khans ULEZ expansion. People do not want it which is why all Mayors will be scrapping it except Khan because he only cares about money and doesn't like poor people
Outer London is different, more people rely on their cars because of infrequent and unreliable public transport. Sadiq Khan has upset outer London this time, he pushed through a ULEZ tax that according to his own consultation the majority did not want.
We don't need more properties, let's be clear under the current birthrate of citizens we should be in a population decline yet population is continuing to grow exponentially. Who are we building these homes for?

You don't need rent control. You just need to remove all those townhouses in the city and build midrise apartments. For example, West Kilburn. What are those low density residential doing in the city? Those are just 2 store residential buildings. Remove them. Build 5 to 8 store apartments. Belsize Park. Low density townhouses. Remove them. Build 5 to 8 store apartments. London is surrounded by low density townhouses. And you all wonder why there is no place for people?

The Conservatives only want to change things that help the rich. Most Londoners dont care about ULEZ. W e prefer cheaper rents than focusing on ULEZ. Go Zoe.
Speaking as a Landlord, if every Landlord sold up right now, genuinely just sold up and large percentage of the homes would either be derelict or bought up large companies with even more stringent and strict affordability requirements to the private renters. if councils bought them, the inflation would sky rocket as we're essentially a loss making country and borrow everything we spend. Not enough is done to protect Landlords and again the licenced landlord scheme is just another tax, it doesnt actually improve anything. Rent controls are impossible, interest rates, inflation and all kind of factors make up the rent however there has to be affordability guidance and rogue landlords need to be banned from owning multiple properties via a Ltd or personal name. Housing crisis requires more homes and people to have more money in their pockets but the rental sector requires landlords to be supported, tax efficiencies if you're a 40% tax payer and stricter controls for the tenants to protect them against dodgy landlords.
I live in outer London. Before ULEZ the pollution level was 2 and now after ULEZ implemented is 2.

Susan Hall is a traditional "boris johnson" style "bully them even if I have no facts to backup my case" politician. Which is precisely how Boris Johnson sold BREXIT.
Sadiq Khan is a facts and figures "civil servant" style politician. Civil servants usually lack the mental stamina to enter politics, in that respect Sadiq Khan is unique.
Aside from the state of the candidates, this was poorly hosted. The questions were random and aggressive and the host regularly interrupted the candidates. Five incapable humans on a stage for the amusement of the general public
The air quality in London has considerably improved due to the implementation of ULEZ by Sadiq Khan.
Sadiq Khan's wise decisions have led to a significant improvement in London's security and health system.
London's connectivity was very poor in 2015 with frequent traffic jams, but it has improved significantly over the past 8 years, thanks to Sadiq Khan.
The youth street fighting that spread like cancer in 2014-15 is no longer a concern due to Sadiq Khan's efforts, and hate crimes have decreased.
Sadiq Khan's leadership has encouraged Londoners to be more proactive in reducing racial inequality, making the city safer for everyone.
Your commitment and dedication to the people of London are highly valued. Therefore, if Sadiq Khan is re-elected in the May 2 election, London will be one of the safest capitals in the world.
Traffic jams are the worst they have ever been in London and now our streets are the most gridlocked in the whole world thanks to Khans policy
Air quality got much dirtier after Khans ULEZ expansion and his money grab has led to thousands more children suffering with asthma but he hides this
