OMG! These are the best wings I have ever had in my life! Baked them on parchment paper so no mess. Made them tonight for 2 girlfriends. The sauce is fabulous! I am still wanting more even tho stuffed! Served them with stuffed potatoes and ceasar salad. Meal fit for a king. Thank you for this amazing easy recipe. Hi Bethany, I made this recipe last night but subbed chicken thighs and made the sauce on the side. I put the pieces on a rack over a foil lined sheet pan. It was divine! And much less greasy than the old family recipe. Bethany to the rescue!
Tried with regular mustard .and let me tell you ..I was blown away thanks for sharing this with me and others ..all I can say is it was the best wings for me and momma ..dam girl it was so awesome that I made it my favourite chicken wings night …thank you thank you and thank you
Bethany, I love it when you spring a secret ingredient on us! I make “oven fried chicken” by putting the chicken parts in a bag with seasoned flour and it does not get nearly that crispy! I hate touching raw chicken so I haven’t been patting it dry first. Rookie move 🙄. I think I’m trying this recipe but with thighs, what do you think? Thanks, Bethany. Definitely dad needs to be every video. Being a dad myself i already know, you say hey come try this food no matter what it is, we come a runnin lol but been trying to get the perfect crisp before I sauce. Hello Bethany. Greetings from Burlington, Ontario. Every compliment I wanted to give you for this recipe has just about been covered by previous comments from other viewers. So at the risk of sounding redundant I'm ploughing ahead anyway. These wings look absolutely delicious and the ingredients you used only go to support that opinion. And Blue cheese dressing too! Now that's over the top! My local pub has a "wing night" on Wednesdays and I would venture a guess that they are not going to too happy with you because I'm going to be staying home and doing my own cooking for a good few Wednesday nights from now on.

Your dad is great! Kitchen trick for the whisk. Fill a glass with hot water and add a couple drops of Dawn. Plunge the whisk in and out of the water a dozen times and it will be clean. If it's really sticky dirty, soak it in the glass with soapy water for a few minutes and then plunge it.

Looks great with the challula.. I never have used it on wings, but I do love it. They have a wing sauce out now, by the way. It does taste good. I bet the wings would crisp more if you used a wire tray over the pan. I will try these soon!

I would probably skip the sour cream cheese dipping sauce because it just another component and if im doing chicken wings i want to keep ti simple quick and easy. (having said that I would just had a bowl of sour cream to complement the wing sauce). Also i think these days we don't need to refer to baking powder as a "surprise ingredient"! I think most of are aware of it and how to use it and so many You Tube vids mention the addition of baking powder to food. ☺☺

Parchment paper, Use it one time there's no going back. I never bake without it. I even make my homemade pizza on parchment paper, then side it on the pizza stone, it still browns on the bottom.

Great video, many thanks. Can the wings be reheated if I want to prepare a large batch for a party, but they will be eaten later that day? Don't want to lose the crispiness. Guess I'd need to regenerate them in the oven and keep the sauce on the side until I serve them - is that right?
Great question! I prefer reheating them in the oven - should be fine if the sauce is on it! Might soak into the wings but you could always toss them in a little more sauce (if you have it) after :) but yes oven reheating is fine!

Awesome wings! Try some Mikes Hot Honey instead of the other hot sauce, it's got sweet and heat, but not too much! So good, and ya gotta have blue cheese with wings. I'm from around Buffalo NY, so, nuff said. They are also good cooked in an air fryer too, I use either potato starch or corn starch instead of the baking soda, makes them crispy too. New sub here! Oooooooo, I love me some wings. For me the hotter the better BUT that doesnt always work for everybody. This looks like a good all around sauce. Im not a fan of Maple how about subbing with Agave Syrup? Blue cheese is always a plus. Wings definitely looked on point!

Hi Bethany You won't believe this but i will tell you anyway, like i said previously i have a sit down with the family once a month asking what they would like to be made meal wise. I tell you now one of the things mentioned was chicken wings, to which my wife said yes but not to spice'y How do you do this lady ?? 0:48- Bethany, I've seen several recipes here on RUclips that use Baking Powder.... but they call for Baking Powder that doesn't have ALUMINUM in the ingredients. Do you know why? Do you take that into account with your wing recipe?
I personally don't use baking powder with aluminum in it because I believe the idea is that the aluminum can leach in to the baking powder. So that's why I don't - but other than that i can't think of another reason why it would be suggested. It's not a deal breaker, just a suggestion:)
Appreciate it so much, Keith! hmm never tried it. I would say it could maybe work in addition to the sauce, but not sure about it replacing soy sauce entirely because the sauce needs some of the salt to bring the flavor.
@@Asimplepalate totally understand. was just curious. its a good point since most wing sauces have salted butter and this doesn't. i have some whiskey infused maple syrup so that might work well here. i'll let you know this weekend lol!

I didn't share it in the video (because I legit flung it together on the fly) but it's in the recipe description notes on this video and on the website recipe:)
they wouldn't have flavor without the sauce :) But you could do a simple rub of your choice on them prior to baking and just skip the sauce that way. But I don't use any seasonings on them while they bake because of the sauce at the end.
I only use cayenne to keep tracking dogs off my trail....j/k. Stay cognito. My lense and smell simulator can almost taste the flavors and freshness.Footballs coming and I need an appetizer idea. Summers just about done but I love the fall. Whoever originated the mustard zing to our sauce....Jenius....typo humor. Stay kind always fun. Oh maybe a smoked paprika i love it on my tator salad.

Loved this recipe. I didn’t leave them in the oven as long as an hour more like 45 min bc I used convection on roast. Came out great

Oooooooo, I love me some wings. For me the hotter the better BUT that doesnt always work for everybody. This looks like a good all around sauce. Im not a fan of Maple how about subbing with Agave Syrup? Blue cheese is always a plus. Wings definitely looked on point!

haha, I appreciate that! I've been in the food blogging community for 10 years :) Just have always been very camera shy and finally stepped out from behind the camera 4 months ago. However, we are new to videos like the ones we're doing, so we're still learning along the way!

Chalula actually makes a wing sauce that is good.
0:48- Bethany, I've seen several recipes here on RUclips that use Baking Powder.... but they call for Baking Powder that doesn't have ALUMINUM in the ingredients. Do you know why? Do you take that into account with your wing recipe?
I personally don't use baking powder with aluminum in it because I believe the idea is that the aluminum can leach in to the baking powder. So that's why I don't - but other than that i can't think of another reason why it would be suggested. It's not a deal breaker, just a suggestion:)

I do not! Just a little oil on the pans that's all to help them not stick.

Appreciate it so much, Keith! hmm never tried it. I would say it could maybe work in addition to the sauce, but not sure about it replacing soy sauce entirely because the sauce needs some of the salt to bring the flavor.

Can I eat them without the sauce?
they wouldn't have flavor without the sauce :) But you could do a simple rub of your choice on them prior to baking and just skip the sauce that way. But I don't use any seasonings on them while they bake because of the sauce at the end.
