I can find something to either use or decorate my sewing room in just about any store! How about you? 💡👀
My sewing supplies are currently in a makeup organizer. The style and size and dividers helps to accommodate so much.
Hmmm.... Time to look into Sam's Club! Thanks for the preview, Patty! From Cheryl in AZ
I was surprised at what I found!
Love your hair Patty❤
Thank you so much Delores!!
I have thought about getting to huge tool table with the drawers and cabinets to use as my cutting table. Then I could store my big rulers etc.
It could definitely work!! I’ve seen some in Home Depot I thought were amazing for that!!
Hi Patty! Love your suggestions! I purchased the shelves a while ago and they are great. I need to take a look at the tables. Always in need of storage too!
Thanks Carole!! They had great table selection. I’d love to have the adjustable table for cutting.
I really like the bus boxes they look very sturdy! I have always used plastic dish pans for my sewing projects. In high school, 1960s, the home ec teacher had each girl put their sewing projects in dish pans. It has always worked very well for me. When I have to clear off the dining room table it's easy to quickly stash everything in there and continue later. Anyway, I'm going to get a bus box to replace the dish pan. Thanks!
Oh thanks for sharing that Anna! My only downsided feelings on the bus box is the unfortunate color. I wish it was a pretty color. But honestly, they would store all the materials including yardage and the batting in one place. I'm actually tempted to go back for them. Because of my space I feel pressured to stick to one big project until it's complete. With this I could place the blocks as I do them into the bins and it would be fine if it took me several months or the year to complete something. I can totally see the dish pan idea being a great idea. Thanks so very much for watching!
Hi Patty! Never once noticed a sewing machine in Sam's! Great video. TFS!
LOL I know!! Me neither! I was really surprised to see it. It looks like a very nice machine and it comes with quilt design software. I should have made more of a mention of that in the video. Thank you so much for watching!
@@PattymacMakes Oh wow that is a nice addition! Sam's usually includes something extra in their products.
@@favoredone4774 I had not shopped there in years but they are a little more lenient on who can be on a membership together so my friend and I went in on one together. I've been really happy with it. I'm considering costco now. I could eliminate going to the grocery store almost entirely by shopping those two in alternating months. I really do prefer to stock up and shop less. It's harder with fresh food, but I can grab that pretty easy and virtually eliminate the grocery store. Plus I've been able to grow so much in my garden that's really helped!
You found lots of great stuff.
I was surprised by everything they had that would work in a sewing room!
I have a lge wire rack on wheels for my project storage and other supplies. Perfect.
OOOO that does sound PERFECT!!!
Wow!! Pricier in Canada! Great ideas! Your hair looks great btw!
Thank you Lisa!! I’ve been growing it out a little the past few months. I understand everything is a lot more expensive in Canada 😢. I’m grateful we can still find some decent deals here in the states. I appreciate you watching.
I love the way I have my sewing machine, cutting place for my material I cut fabric & place I worked on I work on & where my work on things plus where I iron on. Try to think what I can afford for storage under my cutting table to keep things neat & organized. .
For me keeping all the stuff neat and picked up is my biggest challenge. I definitely need a system! LOL I'm leaning towards the bus boxes so I have a way to wrangle all the supplies for a large project in one place. Then I can pull something out and work on it a little bit and put it away for a while.
Looking fantastic Patty! I like the totes with the bamboo lids and the workbench!! What are your ideas for the laminator to be used for in a sewing room?
Thank you LuAnn!! Those are my favorites, too! I was thinking the laminator could be used to laminate printed pdfs of quilt patterns or knitting patterns. They would keep nicer and would store more neatly. But those totes with the bamboo lids are my favorite so far.
@@PattymacMakes yes good idea to laminate pdf patterns!!
Much of the things at Sam’s is also available at Walmart, since the are subsidiaries of each other.👍🏼
Thanks Helen!! That's a great tip! I had forgotten they were the same company!
I missed the live, I was stuck on hold on the phone, uggg. Trying to straighten out an order from heath food store. Sent wrong 2 items. I really liked your video. Amazing deals!!
Thank you Bex! I may have to go back for a couple of items. I'm getting myself reset for sewing again. I was so busy this summer with the garden and yard and all of that. So now I can downshift outside and come back in to enjoy inside activities again for a while.
@@PattymacMakes your garden was so wonderful! I would be outside too. But winter is coming, sewing will be fun.
Did you see the magnetic wristband on their website? Looks like it could be useful.
Oh gosh no!! I did not see that. I only looked at the items I found in the store itself. Which included a sewing machine. I did not expect that.
@@PattymacMakes I wouldn't expect that either. I always say that if I see something I like at Sam's, I better get it right then because they will probably sell it out and never have it again.
The magnetic band is only in purple (Cover N Style Magnetic Hair Style Silicone Wrist Band Bracelet, Purple $12.48).
@@helpfulnhappy I looked it up on the website and it is a pretty cool accessory! I can see it being an awesome way to pick up or manage pins and needles. Thanks for sharing that great tip.
@@PattymacMakes You're welcome! Thank you for all you share!
@@helpfulnhappy thank you for watching! I really do appreciate it!
