Just took it on a 220 mile trip through the Colorado mountains. Impressed with the adaptive cruise control, worked like a charm. The CVT transmission was extremely efficient and averaged 43 mpg’s! Best I’ve ever had with any vehicle.

Hey Chris awesome video I was wondering if there is a feature that allows me to change the background display on the screen I’ve looked through all of the settings and can’t seem to find it which probably means it’s not possible. Considering you know more about Hondas thought I’d give it a shot and ask you. Also for those in the market earlier this year I picked up a Red 2022 Honda Civic Sport like the one in the video and honestly I don’t regret it at all. It’s a good car to have as a daily. And it has tons of cosmetics as well as other mechanics. I’ve received so many compliments in the time that I’ve had it. So I definitely recommend it 100% !!

Unfortunately I just haven't had a lot of time to play around with then in greater detail because of the sparse inventory. If I get one that arrives that not presold, I'll see what I can find out.
I usually use apple play but it’s got to be plugged in for that. I wish the normal screen like what would show for radio or Bluetooth could be changed. Like instead of just being the black screen with lines i could change it. Thanks for the video tho! I’ve had my car a few months and didn’t know a couple things I learned in your video

Excellent video, I bought 2024 civic sedan touring, I was trying to pair the homelink to my community common parking door, but not sure why it was pairing even after holding couple of minutes, what could be wrong?
It just comes down to the unit you have there. I would google the unit and should work the same even if it's showing on a Accord or another model

Hi Chris, thanks a lot for this video. I got my 2023 civic sport last week. I couldn’t find the blind spot assist feature on it. Did Honda removed it in Canada?
Im not sure how its done for Canadian models but the sport doesn't offer blind spot in the American Honda Market

I've been driving for 50+ years and have never had a car with no temperature gauge. I sure hope I never have a coolant problem.
There will be a temperature indicator warning ⚠️ light that comes on the dash if COLD or HOT. Thank you for watching

Bought this car last Thursday, and I was messing with the settings earlier today, and yet, you still showed me some new stuff! Question, how can I turn on the blind spot system? Owner's manual said it was under settings, but I couldn't find it anywhere 😔
The sport trim doesn't have Blind Spot, its available on the EX and Touring trims

There's NO setting to have the radio/media volume turn down when the vehicle is in reverse. You may just have to turn it down beforehand.
Can you peel off the factory stickers by the door handle or are they there for a purpose?

Just got 2023 love it . Just wondering why the red light is on empty. I tried to put gas and it was full .
Below the line (which has the red), you will see the bars, which indicates how full the gas tank is.
I just got a 2022 Civic Hatchback Sport, love the car, but cannot figure out the display system on the left hand side behind the wheel, so many options, manual just kicks you around page to page, do you have a tips on using that, setting it up? There's a little bar in the middle of mine that is doing something but I have no idea what. Love this video by the way, dealership went through some of these things but so fast I didn't retain it all. Also, two things, I keep seeing things that say use arrow up or down, but I see no arrows anywhere. Right above the select wheel there's a button with a white line on it. What is that for? Little white bar is the fuel effeceny meter when it’s green you are being effecient
to scroll up when you see an up or down arrow then use the wheel to go up or down
I traded my 2021 sport for the newer model it’s amazing love the car but I do miss the extra storage in the middle I wish they kept that

Just bought a new 2023 honda Civic ex.. my fuel economy currently says 24.6 mpg, which is way below the advertised 33mpg in the city. As a new driver am i not being fuel efficient? What is the best practise to get to that 33mpg mark?
The Honda Civic does have a fuel efficiency light (green bar above the digital speed) that appears when you're being a fuel efficient driver.
Hey Chris. My new Honda Civic 2022 sport model has consumed 17 let’s of fuel within first 120 kms only. Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to consume 8-9 Ltrs of fuel for 100 kms. What do u think ? It’s a brand new car I bought just over 2 weeks ago.
I have noticed myself that the first few tanks of fuel doesn't show the true fuel economy. I would encourage contacting you local Honda Dealership if this doesn't improve after you first three to four tanks. Thank you for watching.

How do you go about if you have plug n play device like satellite radio to connect to radio unit??
I'm assuming that it would be plug and play in the USB outlet. If so, you should be able to select media to connect to the USB Audio.

hey chris got another great one, why when they did thisnew honda it doesnt show the thermostat on the car when its warming up all you see is an blue water temp icon once the car warmed up the it dissapears so tell me how if i can get it to show in the dash>
that just sharing that your coolant temp was low.

This might seem like a dumb question but how do you acces the settings menu? I have the 2023 Honda Civic Hatchback and I press the home button and nothing like that comes up.
There should be a setting option. I would ask your salesperson to help locate this, it's easier to assist in person
I have a question I got my 2023 civic hatchback and when I first got it the fuel range was almost 400 and the mpg was 29 and now when I fill it shows 280 range with a mpg of 21 and I got the car 3 weeks ago should I contact my dealer
The fuel range indicator is computer generated that will learn from your driving habits. It kind of follows the laws of average.
Anybody know how to get the miles to empty gas range to display? I have it checked on but doesn’t show up anywhere. Same with the trip meters.

Great video, we just purchased ours in silver and it's beautiful. One thing we're having trouble with is backing out of the settings menu. We can't figure out how to get the display back on. Using the back arrow just takes us to the previous settings. There seems to be no way to change the settings and back out of settings to show the display. Hitting the home button doesn't work, hitting the back button just takes you to the previous settings menu. We noticed at the end of your video the display was still showing the menu options you had chosen.
Never mind, my brilliant husband figured it out. You have to go back all the way to the home menu, then select either the "Range & fuel" or "Speed & time" to get out of the settings menu into the display. Those are the only two options that take you to the display without showing you menu options.

hi chris, quick question. just bought my 2022 honda civic sport two days ago and only the left half the dashboard is lighting up and chiming when i get in and start the car. all lights work properly and no issues while driving. it’s strictly only when i sit inside and start up the car that only half of the dash lights up with the honda symbol. any advice on how to fix it? thank you!
I think it’s because the left side is a screen and the right side is the speedometer. Mine does the same thing
@@tommys2030 i had the same thought too but when i originally bought the car, the whole screen would light up and do the chime before i started the car and now it’s only half

Just depends on how you like to drive the vehicle. I used econ for our Highway driving but turn it off during the hot summer days because it effects the cold air (AC). Usually, our CRV is just in normal mode for our city driving.

So my dome lights do not automatically turn on whenever I open my car . Is there some way to fix that ? Its really hard to see the inside of my car especially at night .
There should be a switch next to your front dome lights.

This time around, American Honda has decided to use a warning light indicator that will display on the driver's interface when the vehicle is cold or hot

Nothing, just a visual at empty. But the bars are the indication of the tank.

How you set up your idle?? Mines keep saying disable?
The Idle-stop doesn't engage every time. Here are a few examples when it does NOT. The Auto Idle Stop OFF button is pressed. The driver's seat belt is not fastened. The engine coolant temperature is low or high. The transmission fluid temperature is low or high.. Thank you for your support and watching
It also depends on the amount of pressure you use on the brake pedal. Didn't go looking for it, but I discovered if you come to a complete stop while keeping light pressure, idle-stop will not engage and it will give the usual alert. Push down a bit harder and it should kick-in. However, if it doesn't engage with full pressure, swing by Honda Services and have them take a look, it may cost a bit, but money is a small price to pay for safety.
How do I see the temperature gauge
There will be a warning light displaying on the driver's interface for both hot and cold
For a honda civic hatchback 2022, can you listen to music with the engine off?
Yes, while in accessory mode. Without your foot on the brake, push the start button once or twice if you like the fan controls on as well. The third time shuts off the vehicle.

Just select the Home button on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. The scroll wheel on that side allows you to select menus
After all those adjustments, how do you return to your home screen?

@@CrazyAutoChris Yes, I would like to know how to do this too. The Home button does not get you all the way home out of settings.

How do you get OUT of settings?
You can select the home button on the wheel or just keep selecting back on the menu within the driver's interface.
Does it have the camera on the side mirror?

I got my new honda civic 2023. At start it shows economy of 600 km with full tank. But now it is showing only 446 with full tank. Its only 3400 km old car
The Range is all computer generated that will adjust based on type of driving and etc. Congratulations on your new Honda.
Hi! Is there a way to keep the car running while locked so it stays cool when I run into the store?
my only suggestion is to get out the car lock the doors and use the remote start to keep it running regrdless if the keys arent in range it will run and also shut off in a timely manner i know mines do it when it dont detect me closeby but the car will still remain locked

i just bought 2022 Honda Civic Sport Sedan and Everytime I go out of my car with the engine running(to go somewhere near) the alarm goes off and when i look at the dash, it says “keys not detected”, so how do you stop that and keeps the keys detected everytime?
Are you taking the fob with while getting out of the running vehicle?
@@CrazyAutoChris yes, it’s always on my pocket when i get out while the engine is running. I do that bc theres really no reason to leave the fob inside the vehicle and its also for safety
@@tsar2057 the vehicle is doing what it was programed to do. It's letting you know that you're vehicle is on when you're walking away from it. I haven't found a away to turn that off yet.
