Yes Yes Yes! JD go see Buddy Guy and show him this thing you have. 3 mins in and having hair stand up and goosebumps. So glad to have stumbled across this BluesMan....Spectacular!
We're proud to have JD Simo as a TrueFire Educator! Learn how to his songs and more in his guitar course, Psych Blues, which includes video lessons, tab, notation, jam tracks, and more: truefire.com/c1345
Damn! This sounds as good as Bloomfield, and this bass player has some big balls. He left his ego at home and played a near perfect bass part. My first bass that I was given for my 15th B'day in 1970 is very similar to this one. I still have it and it sounds much better 53 years later, but never sounded like this. Somehow they didn't need an organ player, three horns and three backing vocalists to pull this off. Take not Joe. Less is way more .
How was the stage volume at this gig? I know he likes to run his amps hot and get what he can without pedals. That being the case, it seems like he'd only really need the deluxe reverb cranked up. That'd get him all the sustain and drive he needs with plenty of volume. Depending on how he has those supers setup, that could be obscenely loud.
vaughn6668 if they were really dialed in I think the mic on the camera wouldn't be able to handle it. Hmm. Maybe this filmer has a great mic and it really was loud as fuck because JD is sort of a purist and doesn't really boogie with pedals.
Awesome tone and playing, he forgot to play the most important note...... The silence. It's not always about the notes you play, but the ones you don't. Bit like a book that uses 25000 words to explain the same story as 9000 could. Clusterfuck of beautiful notes.
WOW! Big fan of his comedy. Now big fan of his soulful blues guitar playing! It's the real deal!
JD is a flat out virtuoso. Really enjoy his singing too! Just fantastic.

Instant thumbs up at the first note!

JD and the Adams sound pretty good!
Massive!
Reminds me of greeny
With a whole lot of Bloomfield toward the middle
Fire
JD giving Monster Mike Welch a run for his money on BB's style. Great playing, tone, soouuuuullll
Hot dang.
Really Good
Reminds me of Mike Bloomfield
I miss his 100 watt marshall plexi sound...

Jd, I don’t know if anyone has told you but with longer hair, you could pass for Paul kosseff
he just had been to a wedding, thus the suit
This tone sounds a lot like Clapton's on the studio version of Sittin on Top of the World.
neew look?? better before .. but a a real killer player ..
His playing at a wedding right?I sure hope so..ha.
Funeral. I was there. JD kinda stole the service but I think the family was ok with it. Uncle Bob loved the blues.
Very nice and feely guitar play there... I wish the band was a bit of a player, too.
Like J.D. a lot he's a great player but rhythm section seems a bit well not quite with it, not slating them just what I'm hearing
I'm hearing the same thing bro! It's almost like it's too mechanical and not greasy and gritty enough for what JD is trying to do.
Really big changes in his image over the last few years. He looks like a politician or something here.

Bring the Marshall back!
no way! this rig sounds way better
