Oh my god! Please give me a few moments to pick up my jaws! This is just outstanding! What a fit and finish!! Watching Mark's work and his creativity is something I tell everyone as truly out of the world. Well done Mark.
Next time you want to coat over threaded holes, plug them with sponge/foam earplugs, cut them flush, then after application, use tweezers to pop them out.
For plugging threaded holes can use high temp silicone plugs used in powder coating for keeping powder out of threaded or drilled tolerance dependent holes
Mark, one reason other than the texture as to why people may be confusing DuraTex with bedliner material, is because there is a bedliner paint called DuraBak.....very similar names so maybe that will shed some more light on that.
Instead of putting stickers over the screw holes put other screws in them and paint over and then remove them the threads will remain clean and the screws will get some paint
The nice thing about Duratex is if you want to thin it, you can do it with a little bit of water. Stuff works great and I love the 3 hour fully cure time. Also for people who never used Duratex and plan on buying some. When you are done getting what you need out of the container, make sure that there isn't any on the inside or outside of the lid and on the inside walls of the container. Because if it has a chance to skim over and when you go to use it again. When you open the lid you'll have pieces of it falling into the good stuff as you're removing the lid. I had to learn the hard way. 😁😁 Awesome video Mark and I love the parch paper usage. The vinyl is WICKED! 👍🏾 How long did it take to that?
Can 1/2" PVC sheet be used for amp rack? It's about the same price as 1/4" HDPE. I'm worried about using 1/4" with a larger rack mounted vertically behind the rear seat of a truck. Will it be too flimsy?
I want to get a 150 db system for my truck but don’t want to remove the back seats. I like JL SQ but am unsure if I can get 150 db with any of the subs. My amp, batteries can handle 5000 wrms. What would you recommend to get to 150 db with under the seat enclosure? I have a 3.5 inch seat lift. Box height can be 14 inches, 59 length, 15 width and 14 inches high in front and 9.5 in rear. I tried 6 10 inch JL w1v3 subs sealed enclosure any only got 147 db. Still good but want more and the lows are bad with those subs.. any ideas?
Buying vinyl is like buying wood, you'll want to find a local supplier. Someone you can go visit, see all their sample books, and see (and feel) the material in person with. Google search for "upholstery supply" near you.
You can use wax, crayon or any wax just about, to keep the coating from covering screws, bolts, etc. Easier to remove the wax, and it won't cause any damage.
I have a boombox from 1975 it’s a akai aj-520 it has become very old as the speaker are becoming yellow and the ring of the foam is decaying and is crusty I am thinking about taking it to a shop for a new foam ring and a service I will try to make my own boombox but this one is my grlandpas and he passed away in 2022 me and him used to listen to a lot of cassette tapes on it ahh good old days
Hi Mark, A genuine question to ask before hard earned monies are invested. I’m from India, New Delhi the capital and we are a bunch of mad car audio lovers here in Delhi. I also understand you cannot endorse or de-shame any brand and however I want to ask a question before I invest as we value your opinion. Got a Toyota Urban Cruiser 2022 (you can Google the car) urban compact SUV kinda like the Rev or Reva4 in the US. Currently have a pair of STEG Leo 650 components as front staging. Rear coaxials are BLAM express and I have a back rear end tray with two Pioneer oval speakers (old school types lol) which I power it directly with my Pioneer head unit DMH-Z5290. A 4 channel Deaf Bonce Machete MLA 4120 amplifier and a pioneer subwoofer with enclosure 1211 powered by a HammerTech 1000.1 class S amplifier. I was lured into going for STEG by a RUclipsr come installer who told me they are the best under $200 and worth all the hype. Now he says if you wanna upgrade go BLAM relax Rx 165. But when I saw the component quality spending $300 on something with plastic made me think 🤔 of the long time durability and life. Then I visited another installer who is one of the best in the city as he does the cleanest installations like yourselves with wire sleeves heat shrinks and mdf boards as amplifier racks and he heard my requirements. I asked him about the subs and he said I’ll play you JL Audio, Hertz and even Galden and then you decide what is comfortable to your ears. For the components he advised me to check out Hertz as compared to BLAM because of the build and quality. He also showed me Audison Voce which is at par with quality. My music preferences are diverse from class Metallica to modern day end sounds like Martin Garrix to Ed Sheeran to The Chainsmokers to Bollywood tunes (Indian movie soundtracks) to also Modern day hip hop and old school of course. Some tell me that Hertz again goes into the SQL zone and hence I should consider Morel the Tempo or Ultra or the Virtus series. Your valuable inputs would be deeply appreciated and if you could answer my queries then I can make a wise decision. Also what brands damping do you recommend- Morel, DrArtex, CTK, HighResAudio,STP,VibroFiltr are some which rule the Indian markets. Thank you for your support. Looking forward :)

That looks amazing! The diamond tuck vinyl turned out suppurb! And the magnetic beauty ring was a great idea, and nice touch!
I think this is one of your best works! I wished I was half as good as you are Mark!
Wow, thank you!
Wax paper is genius
Really makes it more manageable, works great on large panels too.
Try using ear plugs to plug the holes before painting. You can squish and roll them to fit in the hole, and it expands to fit
Looks fantastic Mark!
Clinical precision, beautiful outcome. Very very nice work
Looks great especially if you're going to see it.
That pattern under the vinyl is friggin Dope AF.. 😎

You are awesome Mark I’ve been watching your videos for years, but I never put any like or comment, but I love do you work, good job
The details have detail!!😂👍🏻
Very cool. I’d like to see what you have for a 2007-2012 MINI Cooper R56/55 sub woofer setup!
this isn't just good, this is awesome built. would easily guessed it was built by a company, but it isn't
Absolutely stunning work. What a craftsman
Thank you very much!

That coating looks like a liquid version of the tolex that's used on guitar speaker cabinets. 👍

is the next video you do going to show how you setup the LOC amps and DSP? this is the part a lot of us struggle with, thanks and love your videos !
As always your work and attention to detail is second to none.
I’m curious as to why you chose shallow mount subs as opposed to regular subs?
Less depth of enclosure needed in this case.
Very nice and clean
Wow nice ❤ Attention to details is awsm

Amazing ❤
Did you use the heads of the screws for your magnet fasteners? Thanks

How do these shallow subs sound compared to a conventional sub??
How did you cut the diamond pattern?!😮
