Great job on the gate. Seeing your video made s think that we need to get a good mite saw. I like the way you tightened the wire on the gate, great idea
Thank you Joseph! Yea they seem to last so I consider it a good investment! Having a nice stand is just as if not more important! Thanks for checking in bud!
Good eveing Sir, great tips on your miter saw and also on the built 👍😉 Is their realy safety police Sir 🤣👍 Yes in deed it is a great foldable square👍 I always make mine on the job site and leave it, so having a foldable one is great 🧐 That wire fence is a part of the strength of your gate 💪😉 What Sir THE Money Mess 🤣 Great fence built Sir Cheers !!!
Haha thanks Dave! The safety police are lurking amoung us waiting for a chance to troll haha. Yea the square works great I use it all the time! Now that I have it I couldn't go without it for speed and accuracy. Haha I meant for it to be the muddy mess! Gotta love spring'ish season as we get more snow right now. Catch ya later bud!
Thanks John! Yea at least this one wont be coming around anymore as I took care of the problem if you know what I mean lol. I know more will claim territory and well be up against something new. Thanks for tuning in! Catch ya later
Yep it offers a surprising amount of leverage! Just need a third hand to pound the staple in! Haha I'm sure most people will skip over when watching but prolly the most useful info in the video! Thanks for tuning in!
@@1rustytree so much truth in this statement! What blows my mind is how half the staples in the box have different tang lengths further compounding the challenge!
Tyler, I remember when you built the coop and exterior fencing. Sorry to hear the foxes found a way to invade your coop. Gotta protect the chicks. 🙂 Enjoyed the build; I learned a few nice tips on gate construction. Am wondering if you think you might need a latch on the bottom of gate post as well? Of course you take the chance of getting snagged walking in/out. Maybe a scrap piece of 2x4 so gate cannot be pushed in at the bottom if Mr Fox decides to nose his way between gate and post. Nicely done. Full-watch and have a fine week. 👍🏽🙂
Hey Don! Yeah it's been a while. Crazy how fast time goes! Yeah I definitely considered moving the latch to the center as more then likely the best place for it! As you mentioned my reason was the same, snagged and ripped clothing haha. Well see if I come up with something but it's much stronger and I don't forsee any predator being able to push it hard enough to get past. A block as you mentioned would eliminate the risk completely. If it weren't so tight to get the tractor in and out that would work perfect. Thanks for stopping in!
How's she goin'? Nice build on the gate!!! I like the way you tighten the fencing!! A simple and effective technique!!! The gate turned out really nice and you're all set now to keep the fox out of the hen house eh!!! Take care!!!
Thanks Mike! The vice grip was a handy lil trick I found and thought i'd share! Yeah no kidding on the fox! sure cuts down on your population quickly! Thanks for stopping in!

I'm really sure you can build it yourself. I did this 2 weeks ago thanks to the Woodglut plans.
