I am a medical doctor (Internist) my recommendation if you think your hair is not growing well is to have your iron levels checked. Iron deficiency or anemia can cause hair loss. Also excessive testosterone levels ( which even females have) can cause hair loss on your head & hair growth in places you don't desire. High testosterone can also cause excessive acne. See you family doctor for lab tests. Of course excessive weaves & tight braids can also contribute to hair loss causing tension Alopecia. Hope this is helpful. -Habiba

Im considering, heck planning on shaving my head soon and I cut my permed ends years ago but my natural hair barely grown since that time and has broken off frequently from braiding and combing. Ive been getting really frustrated with it and trying to figure out how to get it to grow without breakage. But I would never had thought that my low iron and frequent braiding could be the cause. I shaved my head several times in my life because hormones thinned mine, plus I didn't treat it as well as I could have. I know I am late to this vid, but you really did look good with the short cut. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is amazing for growing your edges and your hair. Stay away from the relaxers. Try not to wear the wigs as they can prevent growth if your hair cannot breath. x

Ive shaved my head now twice and im only 15 lol my first time was at 13 turning 14 i regretted it for a while then loved it but my reason for cutting is my family well parts like the straight/curly hair because we are mixed in parts :( but 2 of my aunts had permed my hair and i had to shave it this is now the 3RD time it has been permed and im actually going to shave it next week :) cant wait to go fully natural again
Oh my goodness finally someone that has similar experience. My hair was damaged and thin so I shaved scalp deep and it's been like a month plus almost two months but my hair hasn't like shoot out and I keep getting funny comments like oo why isn't ur hair growing, I have low porosity hair so my hair doesn't absorb moisture well n products then to seat on it. And my edges are just not coming back I thought shaving will help my edges grow since am not gonna be styling for a while. So please what can I use to keep my hair healthy and stimulate growth, if u could mention products easy to get world wide that will be great. Thank u

Try using shea moisture products for the hair or creme of nature they are great for growing strong healthy hair and less is more wen it comes to hair I experimented a lot last year with my hair and this year I am seeing result from using less product but enjoy the journey hun you rock low cut very well x

Hey girl. I just wanna say you rock short hair. I cut my hair last year in June and having a shaved head was completely fantastic. I loved it so much but now I really want my long hair back. It's probably about 2 inches to 2 inches and a half right now on the top and maybe an inch on the sides and bottom since I cut it to give a little bit of style. You look amazing with the cut. its always going to be nerve wrecking when you get your first cut. have you tried Indian Hemp cream really helped with getting my hair back to how i wanted it and helped it grow quicker also peppermint and castor oil and wierdly enough aloe vera heat lotion

Camilla! I am so proud of you! You've got strength girl! I wouldn't be able to do that for myself. My hair too have been damaged a lot since i straighten my hair like everyday. And i used to get permanent straight hair treatment in the salon like every 3 years, whilst straightening my hair as well really damaged it. My hair started thinning. Its not as thick as it used to be. I miss how before when i tie my hair that the bobbins break bcos it was just that thick. but now its so thin that i only use those really thin bobbins to hold my hair up. And my hair also stopped growing. anyway, I've been trying to treat my hair for a year and half now I think. And I've gone through products and products to make it nice. I would like to share what helped my hair grow, softer, thicker and healthier. The garnier ultimate blend honey treasure hair masks works amazing! I use the mask once a week and leave it on for 5 minutes in the shower and it leaves your hair softer and stronger. I also use the oil of the garner ultimate blend honey treasure. another one i use is just pure coconut oil, i do it once a week too, i leave on for the night when i think of showering next morning or you can just leave it on for 45mins to an hour before washing. it just nourishes the hair, keeping it strong and helps it grow. and the last product i recommend too is, Nanogen shampoo and conditioner. You can get all products I mentioned in boots. although nanogen is on the pricey side, and you can find it in boots where all the vitamins and all pharmacy stuff. Its a shampoo and conditioner to thicken hair. But what i found while using that product was that, it helped my hair grow much more faster. Its a good product if u want quick result for hair growth.
