Even today, at least to me, Colossal Youth still sounds like chart-topping pop music from another fucking dimension! 🖤

Hi, I saw he video many times and I've just post it in my FB timeline with this little comment that I would to share with you (and please excuse my probably uncorrect english, I write from Buenos Aires...)
August 2015 in New York City. In one of the many music pubs in the city a backing band probably set up for the occasion pays tribute to the Welsh trio, going through all the songs from "Colossal youth" in order. According to the host, when she heard the album on its release back in 1980, something more beautiful, challenging and powerful loomed on her horizon while themes such as "Babe" by Styx and "Lady" by Kenny Rogers dominated the rankings (by the way, my respects to both especially for the first, all great musicians). I think the most interesting and sensitive of this video is to see as song by song the singers -absolutely amateurs- they take turns to the microphone in karaoke mode, taking the stage from the room tables, playing in community, being at the same time audience and artist, at least for one night. Family women and men, or singles, or whatever, splendid in his fifties, founding a way to keep alive the sacred fire of their post-punk youth in the unburned ashes of their adult homes.
