1. Incrementally - Focus on aggregated-small-incremental improvements every day. Compound effect will lead you to master a skill - 1:24
2. Your Goal? - If you aim to be among the best, your working/training/studying standards MUST be as high. Raise your standards! - 3:04
3. Unique You - "Focus on your strengths so hard that you make your weaknesses irrelevant" Double down on your strengths, not on improving your weaknesses. - 5:46
4. Invest in Loss - Be comfortable with failure. The more you fail, the more you have tried; always aiming to be better, the more chances to improve you'll have - 8:12
5. Best = Baseline - The best result you got has to become your new baseline; next trial has to be 'at least' as good. Repeat. - 10:06

Re 'Invest In Loss'. Kings of Leon guitarist broke his collarbone so for a while could only play the guitar higher up the fretboard.
This lead to him writing the riff for their biggest hit, 'Sex on Fire'.

The book was all good until I got to the Tai Chi push hands descriptions and checked it out on RUclips. Haven't picked the book up since🤔
Cool. Interesting and motivating. Some novel points I have not heard before. Might not be the right philosophy for everyone, which I think is important to point out. But I quite like it.

Your fitness regime ??
1 + 10 + 100 + 1,000 + 10,000 + 25: Trail. I do one sun salutation, 10 pull-ups, 100 burpees, 1,000 meters rowing, 10,000 steps, and I move my body exercise-wise for 25 minutes per day--and hit the trail for a hike/run every day. Plus, I just finished a Spartan trifecta which is my new sport-hobby so that's helped dial in the fitness!!

6:30 That kind of goes against the initial advice of having a growth mindset.
I think he is just trying to rationalize why he quit that he initially made the right decision but lost the desire to be the best.
The lesson there is that you need to learn that you will burn out so pick something that ease with your style when you have already dedicated a huge amount of time to your style because we have so much in us to learn.
so I am going back that he made the wrong decision for his moment in time , he should have gone for the easier route, and why he couldn't switch back?
I feel like he is trying to rationalize again.
