Great video Peter. Not sure what experience everyone is having with TT artisans and 7artisans lenses but to me it is some kind of lottery. I have tried couple lenses on Fuji and couple on Sony. They feel nice, and can be almost perfectly sharp, but as Peter told - lack of contrast. I got that first AF TT artisans 27mm f2.8 pancake for my X-E4 and sold it after three days of use. Lens has strong vignette at f2.8 and contrast is not near the fuji lens contrast. I had a friend that wanted that lens and he bought it from me for 20EUR less than I paid so I was happy to sell it. I had 7artisans 35mm f1.2 lens, mine was soft like a bottom of the milk bottle but my friends exact copy was perfectly sharp. So I think there is some lottery involved.
I have had quite good experiences with the ones I have tested. It is possible that they have send me tested ones that have no or minimum flaws. I would not be surprised if the quality was not consistent.
I have to be honest. Just from a production stand point. The completely „no background noise at all“ is eerie. I don’t know if this done with AI or it’s the the mic. But I suggest putting some sort of slight background noise back in. It sounds really strange otherwise.
I bought a 12mm f2.8 7Artisan mft compatible lens and provided you accept that its fully manual and more suitable for certain subjects, its perfectly fine and enjoyable to use. ; except for one thing its very heavy in comparison with e.g Olympus lens !
Hi peter i thought you were the Olympus man but i see you also turned to Fuji ! I do have the ttartisan lenses as well and i think they are well worth the money
I've had really good luck with my TT Artisan 50mm f 1.2 with my Olympus cameras. It is an unbeatable value at around 100 USD. Build quality is reminiscent of what the Japanese manufacturers were making in the 50s and 60s. At these prices, it is tempting to buy more lenses than I really need. I have heard that quality is inconsistent from model to model but I feel that I lucked out with mine.
Strange, everyone wanted the best possible image quality. Now that most of the big brand lenses are really good, people buy cheap Chinese lenses with mediocre or even bad image quality and love them. But I really wish the aperture rings were at the back, not the front.
First of all IQ is not everything. Sometimes it is very important, but not always. Those high quality lenses from traditional manufacturers are expensive. I like that there are cheaper options. The price quality ratio is usually quite good.
No es que estos lentes sean de bajo precio.los otros son muy caros y son casi iguales.pagas solo la marca.El marketin juega con nuestra psicologia y hacen creer q entre mas caro mejor.
We have to remember that these lenses are just chinese copies of old european lenses. Their quality is very uneven even within a given model. Moreover, sometimes the quality of your copy suddenly deteriorates for no apparent reason. That's what happened with mine.

I have this lens but for M43. I bought it for the focal length and I wanted to chalange myself to use the manual focus. Good lens for the price.

There is always slight problems with background noise and how much...

I was very quick use to the place of the focus ring, so for me it's no issue.
It just me. For some reason this is something that I cannot get used to.

No I have not turned to Fuji. I was only testing the X-H2s camera for a little while.

What lens are you using to record this video?
I used DJI Action 2.

Dans quelques années les chinois gagneront le marché des objectifs.

Hey Peter, leave that lens alone.
All in all, it's just another photo of a wall! 😁
