Staring building a RG Impulse Gundam and had a loose peg in the fore arm swivel. When I was looking up how to fix it and saw your video I knew which video to watch. I absolutely love your content.
I used this same method on pretty much every joint on my MG Exia. Neck, arms, waist, legs, and ankles because I really wanted the kit, but heard the massive issues with the ankles and such. I used clear nail polish though and so far, very solid. Every ball joint and peg is somewhat thicker and I'm very pleased. Apart from the smell.
To people who don’t have access to glue/to worried to try this, another thing i found that works is taking a small piece of paper and putting it where the joint attaches, tightening it a bit,
Thanks for the idea... my Astaroth Rinascimento went well after tightening up some joints on the arms... The Demo Knife/Bastard Chopper combo can hold on its own easily..
Hello, I really like your modeling and customization. I wish I had remembered this last video but you were asking about weathering and I saw a video by PLASMO - plastic models with a GM sniper II and it covers weathering that I believe you might want to see. Please keep up the amazing work!
Btw for those concerned about the white marks most super glued give, use loctite or in general gel super glue, no whitening and isnt a hastle to clean off your hands
I don't know why but I'm always very paranoid about permanent modifications to kits, so what I've always done, and it's probably a weird solution, I wrap a little bit of tissue paper or toilet paper around the ball joint or peg. If you do a small enough piece, it can totally hide inside the joint, and it's a completely reversible modification if you ever need to for some reason.
This video help a lot i was having join issue with my Zaku 2 Char Costume as the hand and risk were very loose and would often fall by the weight of weapon they hold.
Hello Studio G. After I watched this video, I tried to follow this method to fix the loose joint on my freedom 2.0 mg. I applied a thin coat of super glue on one of the small pegs in the upper right arm. After the super glue dries, I tried to build the arm but the peg that I put super glue on got snap / broke.
Studio G: this video is sponsored by newtype, they are one of the largest hobby stores where you can get your kits, tools, and “everything” you need. Me: can i get one cheese burger without cheese
This helps me. I have a kit and the arm pegs are hella loose and the arms keep falling off if there's any slight movement or vibration. Will give it a shot
Spot on! I wanted to tighten my wing zero with super glue, but I didn't know how. I'm glad I didn't do it on my own because I was definitely going to mess it up
I have an old 1994 144 scale gundam maxter from back when I was a teen, it’s arms are mega loose so I’ll have to give this a try. Wanna give it a bit of a revamp
Thanks for the video. I am new to Gunpla. So far I only have hg kits of gundam wing. I will try this on my hg nataku it's arms are heavy when the Claw arms are extended outwards so they just drop down.
how to clean the gunpla, dust on it, oil or duirt on it. The white part turn yellow, if you rub it some dirut or yellow thing will come out. How do you clean them
This is useful, but I actually have the opposite problem. Can you please do a tutorial on how to fix tight joints? My Unicorns shoulder joint is so stiff I'm afraid to bend it because so think it'll break.
if it's the non-thin cement, you can brush it on, wait for a day to cure, then yes it can tighten joints, but the wait time is too long and a single coat may not be thick enough so you may need to do multiple thin coats of cement and wait for each layer to cure, so it's more efficient to use super glue.
no man, u do not want to use Cement like Mr.Hobby and/or Tamiya Cements regardless of which version they sell to tighten joints because they work by slightly melting the plastic to bond/merge two separate parts together...those are for merging seamline or PS plastic. Just follow Justin's Instruction and use any good super glue on tightening joint and don't use plastic cement on joints.
does the superglue eat away the plastic? because i use this method and it worked but from time to time the joint become much more looser than before. need help
i wonder now i've watch transformer toy reviews and those guy use floor polish or pledge to fix lose joints and i wonder if this would work on the model kits
Hi there, I wanted to ask if this was an issue on the MG Sniper you did in red, white, black/grey? Mine has a hard time keeping the legs inside of the hole for the waist section. Just pops out when I pose instantly. Have a similar in the Hg version but the waist on that one does not stay connected to the piece between the legs. Thank you
So helpful!!!
I'm somewhat of a beginner builder ( getting back into building Gundam) and I've been plagued with loose joints.

Heck yea, this what I needed.

Toothpicks work too

Great tip! I use clear nail polish to tighten the loose joints on my kits. Worked on my RG 00 Raiser and RG Strike Freedom.
Thats great. Can you tell me on how to do it please? I would gladly appreciate it
@@raihanaji7516 I got some cheap polish and it just wears down when I move joints so I got some super glue

Great Tutorial!! 👌👌
I should give this a go on my RG Destiny Gundam since there are certain parts that won't stay on and that's including loose joints too.
Even super glue can’t fix early real grades…
I heard that if you paint the ball joints with a gray or black it with have a better grip and no longer have the issue of loose joints.
@@nick391nm I usually just top coat all of the loose joints with 1 or 2 layers.
I'll have to try that out.

Got any videos on care for blades and nippers or making of extra/new parts for more specialized customizing?
when painting a gunpla should you mask the connection points like pegs and ball joints?

Thank you for the tips bro! But I've got a question, does it work with tamiya plastic cement? I'm pretty sure it does right?

Can I use the tamiya extra thin cement instead of super glue ?
