if I am going to pay 25 bucks for a shirt I want it new and not from a thrift store. Tha'ts what makes me so mad.. these stores get the stuff for free and they want to charge an arm and a leg for it. What happened to making this stuff afordable.
Looking at what is REALLY happening at Goodwill and Salvation Army is horrific. Go to St Jude's or ANNNY other small charity shop! Try not to support the trash that those larger profit organizations are perpetrating! If you're going to reuse and pay that price, put your money where it can REALLY help!
They have overhead. Inflation impacts them, too. They now have the issue of waste management and what to with over-donations, trash, and stuff that doesn't sell. Our clothing waste is ending up on coasts in other countries.
PLEASE don't cut those jeans up. They would look SO CUTE with a pair of those black boots that look like low rise Doc's. Pair those 2 items together with that grey sweater and you'd have a cute outfit for the winter season. I love bootcut jeans but I have the hardest time finding them because I'm so short. Those were perfect on the length Cassie. I'm fully expecting you to take my advice and I'm fully expecting to see you either post a picture of yourself in that outfit on your community tab or show us in a future clothing video. Please don't let me down, lol! Lol but I'm serious... 😉
My store doesn’t do color tags anymore. You have to join the club for 25.00 and normal prices there are way too high. 7.99 for used tanks is crazy to me when I can get brand new at Walmart for 3.00. Unless it’s an amazing brand I don’t buy any clothes at Goodwill anymore. I used to love to thrift. I’m in Florida and not even a big city so too expensive. 😒
Have fun! I was telling my husband I need to declutter my closet. That would mean I would need to replace a few pieces, but my wallet would cry. Thank you for this post! I will donate my items I will no longer be wearing. There's a thrift shop in my hometown that lets people in need shop twice a month for free. Meanwhile, I'll be headed to the Goodwill in the next town over for me and my shopping! Yayyyy!
Do you go beyond the xl/1x section into the XXL/2x section? Some brands are notorious for running small so I always go up one size as well and look to see what I can find. I mean I just might miss out on something good that fits great bc it's in the size section above me! I can't let that happen! 😂 I mean if it's too big, it's too big and you don't buy it! It's totally worth looking!
Croft & Barrow is a Kohl's brand. Very cute color! When shirts are a bit too short I buy a tank a few sizes too big so it hangs out at the bottom. Coldwater Creek makes quality clothing. Love them!
awww, I thought the last sweater (blanket-balloon sleeve light greyish pinkish color) was gorgeous on you! But I understand not feeling comfortable in something depending on its cut! Just thought I'd say as an outside observer it was so pretty on you ! 🥰 Sometimes we can be our own worst critics!
Cassie!!! I'm not sure where in Minnesota you live but you HAVE TO check out the Goodwill in Maple Grove. It's SOOOOO GOOD. I can not stress enough how good it is. THEN afterwards go to Style Encore! Second hand consignment store but I always go home with so much when I stop in. So many goodies!!
I refuse to shop now at thift stores. Got bed bugs which infested my apartment! Spent over 3k to finally rid them. Imagine the wardrobe i could have purchased with that money?? Not worth it. Be careful....launder with hot water, put in garbage bags before laundering. Better yet....Dont shop there!
I've never tried thrift shopping (that's not really common in my country, we go to regular stores in malls) but I find the idea so unhygienic. I don't care how much I would wash it I feel like I would still have the feeling that someone else wore and sweated on that clothe item. And I've heard horror stories about nasty things found at these stores.
Omgee, that's horrible. I never gave that a thought the few times I went thrifting. I've only purchased a few clothing items and the rest has been bake ware. I got an amazing deal on a cake carrier that was practically brand new. Thanks to my sister's discount I saved a bit more. Now that I've read your comment I don't plan on buying anything with fabric. So sorry that happened to you. I would have been very upset. So much money and time trying to get rid of them just to save some money on clothing. Crazy. The fact that you could have bought yourself a great deal of brand new clothing was basically a slap in the face. Again, I'm sorry you experienced that... 💜
I love periwinkle! Looked great on you! I colored my hair periwinkle a couple months ago and I get way more compliments about it than any other color I’ve had.
Get that blue shirt tailored. Not the button and hook cheap, get an invisible strong button for the gapping and you won’t need to look down and check the shirt again
they all look fab on you cassie, it might not be for every one but i saw on Pinterest a girl had that problem with her top and put the 1st top button in the 2nd hole and the 2nd button in the top hole if that makes sence it worked on her but dont know if thats worth a try cause different abric may not work but worth a go and if not you havent lost anything or ruined top
I love the periwinkle blue shirt. It's so pretty and the colour is lovely. My button up shirts gape as well. There must be some type of invisible snap button you can buy and sew on?
The prices of your goodwill are giving me horrible anxiety!! LOL. I live in a small town with a massive goodwill and it’s a goldmine. Both for old stuff, antiques and vintage as well as new. All the jeans are like $6.99-$9.99 and shirts are $2.99-$4.99 lol. Womens blouses are $4-$10
I love thrifting too! However this small studio apartment has very limited space. So I feel bad just storing stuff in boxes that I want to wear and feels a little wasteful....I digress. Thanks for your video I love seeing what you try on! :)
Everything looks fantastic on you!!! Great choices I say 😊 I just love thrifting too....I actually crave it sometimes. You just never know what you're gonna find 😜
I learned it a couple years ago and it works pretty well. You wrap the waistband around your neck, and if it wraps the whole way around, the pants should fit your waist.
It works better if you put the jeans from one shoulder to the other instead of the neck trick though. I did the neck thing with a pair of shorts I knew didn’t fit and according to the neck trick they should’ve fit. Put them to your shoulders across your back instead.
I will absolutely love if you would do the Plus size pinterest style inspired with thrifted stuff. It will be nice how you can find new styles with the new size. Seeing you being comfortable in your own skin trying new styles in a budget.
Hey Cassie! Glad your found a few items during your their. Those jeans look good on you. I’d leave them and not cut them but you do you girl! I hear you about the longer shirts. As a tall gal (5’10”) with a long torso I find normal shirts are crop tops on me 🤪
The jeans look great, you should keep them as is! The Cold Water Creek pullover is lovely. It's been a minute since I've gone to Goodwill or anything like that, but then it's also been a minute since I've shopped in person for almost anything... including shoes and clothing. I buy everything online. But... I do have alerts set up for certain items on eBay, things like J Crew hats from 22 years ago, and I periodically check Poshmark for some brands and hats. In recent years I've bought pants on eBay and when they come, they smell like something, like perfume or something, and I know I should wash or dry clean them, but I never do. I just put them on. I guess I'm not much of a germaphobe.
Cassie I love that Grey shirt. Looks cute. That's something I would wear. Those jeans are awesome. I would keep them as is and not cut them. Great video.
Yes the entire family are millionaires. They have changed their entire concept of donations and started pulling higher end stuff from stores to sell at their online store. Read all about them. Total greed!
Hi cassie :) i would like to see a video with u trying out all u the clothes u have in yr closet. I like these kind of videos, to see what other people have :D only if u want..thank u
I love that you talk yourself OUT of buying things if they’re not perfect. I feel like far too often we talk ourselves into buying stuff we don’t really love then we have a closet full of stuff but nothing to wear!
I love going thrifting with you Cassie! I too, love a longer shirts. I have a longer torso and I like to wear a men's small and tuck it into my jeans. So comfy! :-D
I’m addicted to thrifting in the Twin Cities metro area. So much so that I’m 95% sure I know exactly which Goodwill you’re at even though you barely showed the outside. 😅 I won’t reveal the location but I will say it’s on a frontage road by a lot of car lots. I definitely enjoy this thrifting content!
Great selection of clothes! I’m a thrifter too and our biggest chain here in Vancouver Canada has permanently taken away their dressing rooms. ☹️ Thanks for another great video!
How about stop eating junk food. I’m sure you’re eating even more now since you’re in this relationship and are comfortable. But you don’t look well, u have hair loss and you’re only 30. That’s weird. You need some protein in your diet; this vegetarian thing isn’t working for you. Cut out the junk food. Just cuz you’re vegetarian doesn’t mean you’re healthy
Hi Cassie, Off topic here so I apologize. Are you planning to try out Bobbie Brown's new line called Jones Road? I would love it if you did. Thanks in advance
Hi Cassie 👋 I jumped on this video so quick. I miss thrifting and yard sales so much. I literally have not been since covid hit 💔 I really need to get out there and get my fix. Have a wonderful weekend. Happy Friday ✌🏻💕
You should do a video where you Marie Kondo your closet and get rid of clothes that don’t fit/are worn out
if I am going to pay 25 bucks for a shirt I want it new and not from a thrift store. Tha'ts what makes me so mad.. these stores get the stuff for free and they want to charge an arm and a leg for it. What happened to making this stuff afordable.
I know I agree totally
Just.. Don't.. Buy it?

Can always sell on apps also
Love this videos but maybe try other thrift stores not only goodwill.

25 bucks at goodwill? Ah no....
Why so low quality clothes?Dont u have h&m or zara there?
thrifting is better for the environment
@@memetastic01 Also are we saying H&M and zara are high quality clothes LOL 'cos yeah they're def not.
Living up to your YT name !! Man I missed the thrifting and styling videos you used to do - maybe a throwback video?
they all look fab on you cassie, it might not be for every one but i saw on Pinterest a girl had that problem with her top and put the 1st top button in the 2nd hole and the 2nd button in the top hole if that makes sence it worked on her but dont know if thats worth a try cause different abric may not work but worth a go and if not you havent lost anything or ruined top
I loved this video! Please go thrifting again! I loved all the clothes you picked out! 🤗🤗❤️❤️
I love the periwinkle blue shirt. It's so pretty and the colour is lovely. My button up shirts gape as well. There must be some type of invisible snap button you can buy and sew on?
Oh, you should keep the pants long..they look cool on you❤️
I'm kind of thinking I might do that!! We'll see 😃
I agree. Those pants fit too well to cut them off!
Womens blouses are $4-$10
At my local goodwill they took away the fitting rooms and the mirrors. If I want to see how something fits i look for a donated mirror to use.
I love thrifting too! However this small studio apartment has very limited space. So I feel bad just storing stuff in boxes that I want to wear and feels a little wasteful....I digress. Thanks for your video I love seeing what you try on! :)
For the little gapping the blue top was giving you, get some double sided tape! It will lay flat and solve the gapping.
I would totally keep those jeans as-in for winter -- that way you can wear another layer under them for the cold winter! They look good on you!
Everything looks fantastic on you!!! Great choices I say 😊 I just love thrifting too....I actually crave it sometimes. You just never know what you're gonna find 😜
If you're not comfortable in it you should never buy it BUT I thought the Nordstrom long-sleeved shirt was super cute on you!!
It was too small for sure.
Can someone tell me what the neck trick is??
I learned it a couple years ago and it works pretty well. You wrap the waistband around your neck, and if it wraps the whole way around, the pants should fit your waist.
It works better if you put the jeans from one shoulder to the other instead of the neck trick though. I did the neck thing with a pair of shorts I knew didn’t fit and according to the neck trick they should’ve fit. Put them to your shoulders across your back instead.
Awwww now I wanna go thrifting
I just bought a cord pinafore and I'm 35 😭🤣 I think they're so cute.
I will absolutely love if you would do the Plus size pinterest style inspired with thrifted stuff. It will be nice how you can find new styles with the new size. Seeing you being comfortable in your own skin trying new styles in a budget.
Great finds Cassie!! Love your thrifting videos. Thank you for taking us along with you!! 💙👍
Save the iron on kitties for a collared shirt one trio on each collar
Croft and Bare-O is how you say it 😆 It’s a Kohl’s brand. The Sonoma jeans you got were great. Always loved that brand of jeans when I worked there.
Hey Cassie! Glad your found a few items during your their. Those jeans look good on you. I’d leave them and not cut them but you do you girl! I hear you about the longer shirts. As a tall gal (5’10”) with a long torso I find normal shirts are crop tops on me 🤪
I like the light blue shirt
Those appliqués would be stinking adorable on you jean pockets!
Also, founding member of The Longer Shirt Appreciation Society! :)
whooohooooooo we're not alone!!!
What was that brand of the bootcut dark denim jeans with the elastic band from Kohls? I desperately need them!!!!
I actually really like that blanket type sweater on you! I thought it was super flattering on you!
Yes that blue shirt is so cute on you girl !
The jeans look great, you should keep them as is! The Cold Water Creek pullover is lovely. Love your thrifting videos! I was watching some of your old videos and would love another closet clear out too if you are doing that anytime soon.
Cassie I love that Grey shirt. Looks cute. That's something I would wear. Those jeans are awesome. I would keep them as is and not cut them. Great video.
I loved the Nordstrom sweater
25?! I heard that the owner of goodwill is a millionaire. I wish they would price their items a bit lower. I loved that shirt
Yes the entire family are millionaires. They have changed their entire concept of donations and started pulling higher end stuff from stores to sell at their online store. Read all about them. Total greed!
@@Fyrinspector omg! I didn’t know that, I’m going to read into that.
Hi cassie :) i would like to see a video with u trying out all u the clothes u have in yr closet. I like these kind of videos, to see what other people have :D only if u want..thank u
Those jeans are spectacular and I love the shirts too. That blue is beautiful on you.
I loved the grey one you said was unattractive
I love that you talk yourself OUT of buying things if they’re not perfect. I feel like far too often we talk ourselves into buying stuff we don’t really love then we have a closet full of stuff but nothing to wear!
Totally!!!!! I find it so hard to be logical!!!!
Love thrifting...most of my clothes are thrifted 🙂
the pants look really giooddd
I love thrifting! I’m so sad I didn’t know national thrift day was a thing!
That periwinkle one looked so good on you, loved it , I really like a good thrift haul
Yes it all looked brand new but the periwinkle one was my fav
The blue one with your eyes!! Love💙💙💙
I liked the jeans and grey shirt!
A turtleneck sewn in a shirt is called a dickey.
I’m with you on the longer shirts!!!
I love going thrifting with you Cassie! I too, love a longer shirts. I have a longer torso and I like to wear a men's small and tuck it into my jeans. So comfy! :-D
Did you actually disrobe in the store or did you have a tank and bike shorts under?
Like I said in the video, I was wearing a cami and leggings that I kept on while changing in store lol
@@thriftthick sorry, I missed that! Glad there was no disrobing
Those kitten patches!😍
$25 for a used vest top?! I know it doesn't look worn but wow. I love it but not at that price
In your last thrift haul I noticed you are not that big. You have a great shape
love thrift stores! great video. love these. Really like the jeans and orange tee.
You love stripes so why not switch it up and try vertical stripes? I bet you'd look great in them. 👍👍👍
I think you did GREAT! So fun to watch someone in a normal to me size trying on things and looking good.
Loved going thrifting with you. Have a great weekend everyone
The cat plate 🤩🤩
Love love the vlogs ❤️
Don’t cut those jeans they look great lol
Grabbed a free month of Skillshare and I'm going to do the Art Journaling one, sounds perfect!! Thank you!

Hey Cassie, no I didn't know there was a thrifting day. I LOVE the blue top with the pockets!! Love the color. Thank you for sharing hon! 💜💜
Touch-o-vision would be amazing! Love your thrift haul...reminded me of my own self talk while thrifting. 😅
Hey Cassie!!👋😄 I was just at goodwill an hour ago haha
I hope you had fun!! 😃
Plus size at the Goodwill here is very sparse!
unfortunately that seems to be the case at a lot of thrift stores 😔
Love these videos!! Thanks Cassie :) Happy you are doing well, love to you all
I absolutely love it when you THRIFT! You & Hot Dish should do a “ shop my outfit” video. SO FUN ♥️
so excited for this vid, reminds me of earlier cassie vlogs! love love love

Don’t cut those jeans! They look good as is
you should do this more often its a nice change of pace from your normal..

So very true.
