My boyfriend is in bootcamp right now and while I know that’s not the same as deployment, it’s been really hard. But this video helped me so much seeing that couples can go through the toughest times and still be crazy in love and still go strong. It gives me so much hope for mine and my boyfriends future.
Cried like a baby while watching this. My hubby is finishing off bootcamp for the Navy...I can’t imagine how it will be when he begins his actual job and has to go on his first deployment...
When that happens I’m coming right back to this video to help me cry out my feelings and remember that everything will be okay. I love him with all my heart.

My boyfriend is going threw deployment right now. This is harder then I expected. I have only ever dated people in high school that lived in the same town so they were easy to see. Long distance is so hard + not being able to text at all is even harder. He has no idea how hard I fell in love with him. And I can’t wait until June when he comes home 😢
Same! Going through this now, and for some reason it seems there is no support for "girlfriends" only wives, which I get, but still kinda doesn't feel right. It's a roller coaster of emotions especially when big life events happen and they are not there... It's really hard, I wonder how the wives cope with kids, worst of all how they cope if they have unsupportive family members or unsupported in-laws.
Sometimes I'm out of tears.

When he had to leave for his deployment it was one of the hardest day of my life. You need to be strong to be a girlfriend of a soldier. Damn, I miss him now
I am missing the love of life. I love my soldier so much. I cannot wait for him to be in my arms!!
My husband just left for basic on the 7th, I miss his dearly, but every day I write him a letter, until I can send them I will have one for every day, every day of my missing the love of my life
I'm in the same situation too :( writing him letters and journal helps ease the blues, but I still miss him

How long did it take for him to come back?
I underestimated how difficult it is on the other side of the coin. It was easier for me to leave to do stuff for the army, but it's hard to be here with my guy out there. It's like you have way more time to think about it. Especially when you don't know when they will be back.

Wow watching this make me so so sad because I was in a year long relationship with my ex and we were separated for 7 months while he was in bootcamp due to getting hurt and we kept the connection strong the whole time but once he graduated and graduated MCT, I found out he was attempting to cheat on me and when I confronted him he didn’t want to explain himself and thought I’d be best to breakup after everything I supported him through and now I’ll be going to bootcamp single without his support and just seeing this makes me loose hope on being in another relationship while in the military.
And it’s crazy how someone says they love you one day and just be so cold the next as if everything we went through was for nothing. And I honestly just feel like a fool 🤧

I have a brother in law who is in the U.S Army and he does not know or when they gonna be Deploy or go to War. He has been traveling back and forth to his family. This is by far the best Vlog seeing all them man and women who serve our country. My boyfriend left for basic training for the navy just about 4 weeks ago… it still hurts the same as when it did when he messaged me for the last time before his 10 weeks are up. I already can’t wait for him to be home. I can’t even imagine him getting deployed later down the line and him being away for 6 or more months at a time…
My boyfriend left for BCT and ATI (for the reserves) after Christmas and I'm having a hard time being apart. I'm in a new place without family and I try to be the strongest everyday. It hurts to be away from him with little communication, but I am counting down the days when we can be together again. I cried during this video

Boyfriend he is in the military in the navy we are the same age we talk everyday we are in a committed relationship we love each other a lot I’m moving with him next year that’s the plan
I meet mine on fb and he claimed he is in the Military in Kabul. He claims he can not call me or video chat me. I never seen the guy, so I finally gave him an ultimatum. I am not going to let him keep on lying to me that he is going to home and then stood me up 3 times.
They cannot call or video chat! You're lucky that he actually text you. They also cannot give you a definite date as to when they will return home. It's for their safety. Some things may sound like it doesn't make sense but it takes a special one to date military personnel.
Same as me.. We met on IG and then he said he's in mission and can't video chat and call.. But he said he want to take his vacation leave to see me this month.. Hopefully he's real and can make serious relationship with him
@@mommyshel9762 I have chatted with previous apps. he said he wanted me to be his wife if I am willing to love him, I must first understand him because he is a military man. the problem is that they are not allowed to call or video call but he always chats with me. I don't know if it's true so he says that's the law in his job.
Not just with relationships but with family members, how much time do they have to talk to family back in the US. I’m just curious how what their options are on communicating with loved ones back home.
It depends (relationships/family members etc.) When my spouse was deployed sometimes it would be 30 mins to 3 min conversation or heck 1 min if lucky.
My bf will be joining the military in September and it’s going to be really hard for me not to talk to him 24/7 And l overthinking and have anxiety too if maybe we would break up because that’s not something am use to it but we talk about it and he said that any time he’s free or is possible to text me he would do it today he’s currently going he’s training for September and l hope he pass he’s tests and we won’t be able to see each other for months many till Christmas cuz he’s going to do he’s boot camping till Christmas time and ldk how am going to do it
The key is communication. If you want to make it work it can work!
