It's very nice because your boyfriend can call you... in my country during his training, my boyfriend can't even call and write letter for me... i was crying every night... i will wait for him until he coming back home... i miss him soo much...

I literally kept myself busy every single day of my life when he was at boot camp it was so hard though
My boyfriend is in boot camp for the marines always knew he wanted to do it and I’m extremely extremely happy and excited and proud of him!! So I never went through that “why would you leave me thing” but it’s so hard him being away he’s supposed to come home December 18 that’s when he graduates but because of corona I don’t know if he’s going to be able to and that breaks my heart to have no clue when he’s gonna be coming back and I’m so new to this there’s not a lot of girls I know who understand the concept of still being in high school and not being able to like immediately get married to them and live together. Like it’s so hard ❤️ I wish I had more friends going through this

My boyfriend left for army boot camp a week ago , for 10 weeks and it’s already been hard , I was also not being supportive because of the fact that we wouldn’t talk as much as we used to. I never thought I would be in a military relationship but now that I’m actually in one is shocking lol , I’m currently 16 and he is 17 so this is just the beginning lol, I currently have a job and I been trying to keep busy with that, band, and in general hanging out with friends , i get to talk to him every Sunday, thank god, but I can’t wait till he gets back home ! I know this is 3 yrs ago but if I could have any advice I would love to take up on that offer !❤️
Hey! I think our bf's left for bootcamp at the same time. It's been a little over 3 weeks now, out of 10 as well. I'm trying to keep busy too, but unfortunately haven't gotten contact from him yet, aside from one quick text last Sunday, haha. I can't really offer any advice, except that you're not alone! It's tough, but time will keep passing by until it's over. In the meantime, keep staying active, and challenge yourself to improve yourself in some way, just like he is. I just signed up for month-long hiking challenge as a personal project, and that has been helping me a lot!
@@nydiareynolds972 my bf graduates on augest 24th I think which is kinda odd because since he is 17 he has to come back for his senior year , I didn’t know they could keep him that long , especially with him being in school and stuff
@@aniyahmurdock9177 ah, that is kind of strange! I believe my bf gets out on August 11th, so I suppose they didn't quite leave at the same time. Maybe they figure that keeping him a few extra days won't harm his schooling too much, or there weren't any better options? Good for him though, getting through basic training before graduating hs is a big accomplishment! We're both a couple years older than you guys, so we're out of high school now, but I think he would've liked to get it out of the way sooner, haha. Do you both get to go to the same school?
@@nydiareynolds972 he left June 5th and arrived at the base June 6th, he had 2 weeks on reception and the rest is the actual training I believe, and unfortunately we do not go to the same school but our schools are 30 minutes away from each other ,
@@nydiareynolds972 mom and I were thinking about attending his graduation but since the communication is so off , we don’t know much , he’s training at fort benning in Georgia but I’m not sure on where the graduation will be help at or where to go lol
My well friend is going into the army in 21 days, to Fort Jackson. And we’re still cool with each other but I do love him deeply..
How did you get through it when it came to other females. Sometimes I worry that he will find someone else while we are apart.

When my bf first rold me he's going for the army, i became very excited and happy for him. Now that he's away i feel very sad and i feel like i should spend much more time with him :( and i cry everyday 😭😭😭 same i feel like im selfish and feel very bad aaaaa

Me and my girlfriend have almost broken up 6 times in the last two weeks from the distance and trust. This video hopefully really helps when I show it to her still. Even if it is most basic training. iKoffee do whatever you feel is right for yourself. If she truly loves you she will stay by your side no matter what. It'll take her some getting used to and it is very hard, but if this is what you want, then go for it!

hey! how long will they actually be gone? totally new to this but my boyfriend of a year and a half is planning on enlisting (not sure which branch yet). when can you visit, when do they come home, how long are they gone? thank you!!
Taylor Russo hey!! It depends on what branch and what job he is going for. Every job in the military serves a different amount of time. One contract could be anywhere from 2-6 years. After their training in which we aren’t able to talk to them for a few months, you are able to visit them whenever, I would suggest a weekend that way they are not working. It could be different though. Make sure you know his work schedule before planning any trips to see him. They can come home whenever as long as they are not taking a special/specific course that’s required for them to be there and as long as they have enough leave days. I have a question: Did your boyfriend tells you what he does on base? By that I mean his job description. My guy won’t tell me what he does because I don’t have some sort of security clearance.
They are not allowed to tell anyone who doesn’t have the clearance. So my husband doesn’t tell me anything about his job, because he can’t:)

my boyfriend has been in the army for 8 months he will be deployed next month for 9 months i don't know how i'm going to survive this to be honest and i don't know anyone around me who can relate
Honestly hes very lucky that he got 9months. Most guys get 2-4 years minimum.
I will be away from my girl for 4years in japan vs her being in texas. Before, we was together for 2years so we have a established grounding.
All i can say is, understand that he is also doing the military for you, his family, him and the country. so dont fall selfish. Because he misses you too same or if not more than you.
But if you truely cant handle it and its ripping you to shreds. Really think about talking to him or someone who can comfort you. Im sure he will have his phone, i see guys facetime their girlfriends everywhere they go, show them a few things and talk(not everyday) but sometimes depending on scheduel(its like a job).
But if you are all for the physicalness then i think that is a bad grounding that you have set being with your boyfriend(in my opinion)
Stay positive! And surround yourself with loved ones who can help you through it:)

how often were you able to talk to him during AIT?
It really depends on what he’s doing and where he’s at. Every place is different. In my experience, I was able to talk to him whenever he was available and not taking classes.
@@ElissaKee my boyfriend is a CAV scout and is at Ft Benning. he’s leaving reception to head to BCT on Thursday, and the lack of communication has definitely been hard
