    How can I transfer the 3d model AutoCAD file with the same dimensions and shapes to the Maya program?

      Not sure I get exactly what you mean, could you elaborate further? You can send me an email (mine is in the description) with more details, I'd gladly look into it

    Even when importing a DXF 2018, it can ignore many details. When importing, make sure to change the "files of type" to DXF_ATF", select the DXF file, and before importing try to play around with the Tessellation settings at the bottom of the options menu on the right.

      I've never tried to do that before, but this article seems to explain how to do it. Give it a read and let me know if it helps

    At first everything worked, and then Maya just stopped opening DVG files, instantly reporting: Error: line 0: Error reading file.

    Ciao, scusa ma per Mac non esiste la Plug-in che selezioni all'inizio del video. Non esiste alcun metodo alternativo o altre Plug-in per leggere DWG o DXF?
    Grazie

      Hey, I don't speak Italian but I understood that you don't have ATFPlugin in your Mac. I did some researched and apparently it has been removed since Maya version 2019. Can you try to see if dwg and dxf are in the import menu even if you don't have the plugin? If not, the solution is to go back to Maya 2018.

    How can I achieve a rendered quality in autocad but i want to view it 360°. I made a wrist watch. I also want to animate the clock

    • @b3darchviz
      @b3darchviz  4 года назад

      I've only worked with 2D autocad files, but you can export your wrist watch to Maya or any 3D software of your choice, given that the file extension is compatible between the two. Animating it requires some animation knowledge, which I unfortunately can't help with, but I know that you have to set the pivot of each hand to the middle, so that it rotates correctly, and then use keyframes to animate the rotation. At the same time, you can animate the camera position and rotation the same way using keyframes. If you can get the hands rotating correctly, then there camera animation will be easy.
      Regarding a good render quality, Arnold works great, given that you use the correct materials and render settings.

    I have a question, why nobody is using maya for acrvhiz whenever I see a good artwork that must have been make in max or unreal...

    • @b3darchviz
      @b3darchviz  4 года назад +3

      It's really up to you. I've tried Max and it felt like a downgrade from Maya. Anything that can be done in Max, can be done in Maya, blender, cinema 4d and so on. Use whatever you feel comfortable with, and go from there. It's true that generally people tend to link archviz to 3DS more, but it's just a preference. I'd recommend you look for jobs you're interested in, and see what they require. Whatever software is most common, try to learn it so you have more luck finding a job, but if you prove you can do it in your preferred software, they will happily invite you (happened to me with archviz company who needed cinema 4d users, but as soon as I proved I could do it in Maya, and it was compatible with their end, they let me use it)

    some lines missing when export to Maya, any suggestions?

    • @b3darchviz
      @b3darchviz  3 года назад +1

      Happened many times to me too in some projects. Try to convert the type of lines used in Autocad. If I remember correctly, that's caused by some people using a different type of lines in Autocad. If you're not that savvy in Autocad (so am I), just use method 2. All the lines will export to an image.

      @@alzajel1 All I know is that Autocad uses either Polylines or Lines. I'm not sure, but maybe one of them doesn't work well when exported to Maya. I suggest looking up how to convert polylines to lines or the other way around, try it on the lines that don't show up in Maya, and export again. That's the only idea I have. Thanks for your kind words about the video, I hope you got something out of it :)
