Awesome theatre, and awesome job with the time alignment. Sounds like the owner is craving that good good infrasonic bass to fill in that roll off at 18Hz-19Hz. Hopefully down the road he adds a 21 or 24 inch sub to get that juicy infrasonic bass that only the big boy subs can give.
I'm sure the owner is quite happy now, you are right if viewers want to know why there is not the ultra low bass in room, it is due to a limitation of ported subwoofers they roll the output off at 24db per octave below port tuning point so (20hz) this is why the bass below 18hz starts to drop in volume. One way to solve is lots of sealed subwoofers as they only roll off at 12db per octave so can be flat to 15hz or even approaching 10 hz in room. Or as you say in this case his bass is great so adding one or more sealed infrasonic subwoofer playing 22hz and down (to help that little dip at 22hz) to 10hz would give that infrasonic pressure if he wants it..
Amazing home cinema! Dark colours, plenty of symmetry, etc. Love it! And don’t get me started on the gaming room! 🤤 I would personally close the back off though, even if it meant some thick curtains etc… but that’s just me.
@Kpaceguy great video ! I'm happy you was able to help him really experience his great system . With his subs. With my system I have done the 3D theater idea from "John Hunter" and for me with five subs as well , really is a improvement. It depends on your room . For the center channel. I would take the speaker wire from the amplifier and put it to the subwoofer higher level input. Then I will take a wire from the high-level output of the subwoofer to the center channel. It's nice
He is moving and re-building his theater? Time to upgrade subs! Time to get some that dig lower. Since he likes SVS maybe test their claims of 8hz on their new ones.
That calibration is only really good for just the primary listening position. He really is going to need MSO or Dirac Live Bass Control, which will help for the multiple seats. Also according to Matthew Poes manual calibration is inferior to auto room correction like Dirac , MSO , Trinnov , lyngdorf, etc.
I think gain match the subs is better. Cause when you are level match the subs, the whatever subs louder, well runing out steam or bottom up first. And base on my experience when you gain match your subs, you will get better result when combining all subs
@nrcrash1 No but what I did was turn the crossover on the anthem to bypass so that it sends a full range signal and go into the svs crossover and also turn it off. That way it's playing as high as it can and He has control of the volume. The phase and everything is set the way all the other subs are.
Not you too. If I hear magic beans one more time. My friends and I play a drinking game on how many times it would be mentioned in a certain podcast. They should change that name people won't take it seriously.
why the girlfriend looks like boring face and a attitude that she doesn't care anything about HT but she need to be there just to check what his boyfriend is doing 😒
Damn, that place looks nice! Only 1 suggestion, push the front two seats together in the middle so you get better sound effects. Thanks for video.

This was a great video. I've been interested in miniDSP products for years. This is motivation to finally try one.
Wow that was great. You really understand how to setup a home theater system.

Set very informative. Great work.
Nice work with the subs. It makes such a different experience when the subs are dialed in and aligned with the bed layer.
@@SealedOrPorted He noticed a difference literally immediately
Never understood how some companies figured they could get away with a 0/180 phase.

Awesome video. Great work on the MDSP Kyle, very informative. Would've loved to see his reaction afterwards.
@@EverythingHomeTheater He had a very positive reaction to it. Noticed a different the moment we hit play on a demo. Tighter and louder !

Great video ..have u ever used the Dbx drive rack pa2.. to tune ur system..? If so can u do a Video on it … thanks
Never ever used it
Not sure if I missed it but what DSP was he using with the subs? Loved everything thanks both of you for sharing

Surprisingly all of his subs ended up being set at the same volume level
Where are u located and do u charge to come out and do a calibration?
Kentucky
@ ok thanks. I’m in Va. not sure if u travel this far
@jomolucas198 I have before but it's not often
Are u still gonna show how u tied in the center channel sub?

I thought the mini dsp only allows you to go up to a max of 4 subs?
@@satii24 Correct. It only had 4 outputs. He thought he had 2 subs paired together
Bro, you don't sit in the middle? LOL wut?
