I just took 15 guppies from somebody on Craigslist that didn’t want them anymore. They were in a 5 gallon tank. Just gravel and fake decor. She was really sweet but didn’t know a thing about crap. They are currently adjusting to the new conditions 😄 they are being separated into 3 different tanks. The babies are going into smaller tanks. They are honesty so healthy and pretty and idk how she managed to keep the fry alive just off of the others poop. Anyway so yea.
Just a tip: If you put them in a large container they grow faster. I have a 5 gallon clear container for the fry to grow. My females grew about 2.5 inches from end to end. They're huge.
My guppy babies are 22 days old and 4 days ago I got another 14 little platypus babies so they are only 4 days old. And today I'm waiting for another round of little guppies, since their mom is pregnant again
Use a breeding box or get a lot of hiding spots such as plants with lots of branches or even fake plants work as well around day 20sh u might see them swim around because they are big enough

Sad to hear that. growing guppy fries in the same tank, where adults are, is difficult. but you can save a few of them by adding some hiding spots like some plants or some decorative items etc. Second is that you can add another tank or aquarium for your guppy fries, till they get big enough that when you add them back to the adult fish tank, it won't eat them. I hope this helps.
@Guppysquarium you can also buy a breeding box or breeding net. I'm not sure when my guppys are due so when I see the fry I put them one on one in the box, the box is in the same water in the tank, just with plastic walls so the adults can't get to them. (I also do have a lot of floating plants so the fry can hide until I get them, or until they're grown if I don't want too many of them.) Also, if you have both males and females in the same tank, your females will likely give you fry once a month, so you'll get more in the future :)
Please tell me you didn't raise her in a glass of water? Fry need more space, more everything than you are giving her. nutrition, filter, air, heater and SPACE!

Fishes like guppies do not need an air pump most of the time. If you have a planted aquarium then it's ok to not keep a pump. Adding a heater depends on where you live, for example, if you live where it's more likely to be cool and sometimes it also snows, then you have to get a heater. If it's warm and hot most of the time then you may not have to add a heater.
