No matter what your status in society is, there is nothing greater than giving back to kids. Jimmy Page is the epitome of class and humbleness. He is the reason that I started playing guitar 36 years ago. From interviews that i have seen , he legitimately seems like a nice guy and it would be really cool just to hang out with him for a while.
Jimmy is more on the shy side, but I’ve heard how nice he is by fans who have met him. Plant is more outgoing, but I’ve heard the same good things about him too. They aren’t stuck up snobs like so many famous celebrities are.
That makes him even more great, he’s been doing what he loves doing, it’s not an ego thing for him. He also doesn’t put down other guitarists, like some do to him.
These songs had it all with such awesome musical elements unheard of at the time. The songs progression from acoustic to kick ass rock n roll on Stairway to Heaven is one for the ages.
