I just feel like having good music is the ultimate key...
it used to be
@@monoriff yeah, now it’s based on popularity not skill
It is for me. I don't buy music for any reason other than I think it's good.
This is something I've stressed to some of the artists i've worked with. Many of us confuse "follower culture" with generating actual fans and the truth is just so much different. Someone with 2000 "real fans" can do alot better than someone with 200000 followers who are not committed to the brand. Great content. Keep up the good work ! 💎💖🙂
Bold of you to assume I'm on any playlists at all 😂
We have tons of videos that can help with that!
Yeah my reaction 😂😂😂
Lol mood
Now that. That was funny. Way too relatable 😂😭
🤣🤣🤣
That radio 1 ad is such a good idea! I would never have thought of it 😂

You are truly inspiring! Thank you for that. But with all this COVID situation and how it affects music industry.... it's hard to be creative. At least for me...
This is so much I feel so stressed
I appreciate the video!
Just like what you do and do it for yourself. Other than that idk I think a lot of people just think they’re music is better than it actually is. For instance I KNOW my music ain’t gonna go nowhere, I record it through a $400 laptop in my living room lol, yeah most of my money can’t go on my music unfortunately but I can still take my corner, create my space, release my music on my own. Can’t play live right now so that sucks but I don’t trip on not having fans my main source of money it’s not music so that allows me to do what I want and not feel like I have to make money off of it. FYI, I know this doesn’t really apply to actual professional artists trying to make a career I’m just explaining my own situation maybe it apples to others and helps them maybe it doesn’t.
Thank you again for the tips....
I’m not even pursuing a career in music and your tips are wildly helpful. Thanks Burstimo!
Lmaoooo
I hope the shows are virtual! Stay ahead of the curve :)
cool- thanks Burstimo!
Please keep in mind that these videos not only from this company but others will only tell you part of what you need to know. They are businesses and businesses need an income stream. I'm not calling them scammers but you won't or can't get much for free. Speaking from experience not all the things they tell you work or work as well as they say. You will get to the point where you need their personal attention and that's where you start spending money and it can be a lot. It all depends on how much you want to be a pro or even semi pro musician. You can do things that won't cost much or anything but if you already work a full time time non music job you just won't have the time to do the research and promo that is needed and still expect to rehearse, write and record not to mention sleep and do other non music things. In the end you will probably end up having to hire someone and if you do be careful. There are many companies that say they will get you on Spotify playlists that have 50 or 100k listeners total for a hundred bucks or less. Again, speaking from experience it just won't pan out and the duration for these lists is only a matter of a few weeks and then your streams and monthly listeners will drop off back to where they were when you started. Seventy five or a hundred dollars unfortunately doesn't get you much in the music business. Keep that in mind. I'm not trying to be an ass or discourage anyone in pursuing their dreams. I just want to save at least one person from wasting time and money when they can spend both more efficiently. Lastly, as you watch these advice videos, try to brainstorm your own promo ideas. Who knows, you might come up with something the experts haven't thought of yet!
💯 it’s not easy.. and yes you have to be careful with who you give money to because the roi is bullshit. But one way or another people will learn from experience.. and if they have a strong why and in it for the marathon it will work out how it’s meant to be. I would say understanding Facebook ads and targeting has been a game changer for me recently and so glad I didn’t outsource it.
They don't even work with artists that haven't made some headway on their own. It sounds like you've gotten into a rut with your own marketing tactics and have become jaded about their effectiveness. Playlist promotion is not only not primarily promoted by Burstimo, it is actually discouraged for these very reasons. You are much better off doing guerilla marketing, building a small core of loyal followers, and getting them to add your new songs to their personal playlists.
Thnx for the great advice keep it coming lol
Yep, another very helpful video :)
Thank you!
Good job!!!

Who’s Joe Kentish?
Hello, I have seen that many artists upload a single video with their entire album, I think it is very good as a strategy, it can save advertising costs, since only one video would have to be shared and the total views might look higher for some songs that individualy may not be so viral.
What do you think? Do you know if it is "valid" for youtube to do so? should we do it throught a distributor?
Example: Dua Lipa Future Nostalgia Remixes, Japanese city pop albums, Lofi albums, etc.
Awesome!
I like your t-shirt , looks so comfy
Hi, i can't remember if it was this video or a different one. But, you mentioned Spotify ads and youtube ads etc, this is a good idea, however, I need a VAT number with Spotify ads to do this, and I can't get one because I don't earn over 85k as a business to get one. Any suggestions?
Thanks
🙌Thank you
I like her she's on it. I'm more motivated now.
Thank you
I am allowed to use Socia media only next year. Since I'm 14, I'm not really allowed to use Social media. Is there a way where we can promote our music without putting in money or Social media. Like only through RUclips. Just a question.
I recently found this channel and its helping me massively
Thanks , I Love You.
Thank you so much for the vid really helpful.
Would be amazing if you guys can make a vid abt instagram dm networking for artists
Sure, will do!
@@Burstimo Thank you so muchhh
Consistency is the key
Right now I got a song viral on facebook but very few people are going to youtube or instagram
can you make a vid on how to develop a brand/theme for you as an artist?
Already done! Search Burstimo brand :)
You give good advice I just started my career and I plan on growing and taking time
So how do we communicate with you????? Maddy?
I love your voice lol I hope that's not weird... 😂
obey shirt fire!!
When you have good music, but it’s hard to tell people who won’t even give you a chance...
You just need to find the right fans! You can do this by figuring out who you would want your ideal fan to be and then figuring out where they hang out on the Internet. Then the key is to get in front of them by making great content around your music and personality!
After more than 3 decades playing live, I am fed up and opened my own RUclips Channel (and of copurse Spotify etc via DistroKid) with some crazy orchestral music, old bands demos and cover versions of artist I like. Until now without success. Do you have any tip to make my audience grow?
harder to do this when musicians are getting shadowbanned and hushed on FB now... tons of other artists I follow are experiencing the same... I have the biggest friendbase that I could potentially have as a fanbase and FB is making it difficult :( I try to get those friends to other platforms where I can reach them better and clearer and fb censors those posts even mentioning I'm starting my own forum gets me hidden :( SOMEONE PLOX HALP!
having good songs people like will generally will do this
I love your voice
There is a lot of good information you guys put out there. I got caught up in the rabbit hole searching your videos and blog. Awesomeness. Thanks for the wisdom. Check me out sometime. It’s such a learning process trying to both make music and market it. So these videos definitely help.
This might be a stupid question, but how does my song get played on the radio? 😳 I probably should know this by now, but are songs usually submitted or played via connections or??? 😬😅 still a mystery to me- please be kind lol
Typically this would be done through radio marketing or a ‘pitch’ person. You paying someone to pitch and represent you to the PD’s. This could either be in house at a label or a 3rd party company or person for that.
BEARDED BOZO oh I see! thank you so much for your kind reply!
AMMÉ no worries! Sometimes a PR company (or marketing company) will include radio servicing too. Its also much different depending on the country you are in.
Done a full video on this one already!
You can also just pitch it yourself , that’s what I successfully did with mine, preferably to local radios
So in short, pay/network up to get attention from potential fans, then retain their attention by consistently delivering content on all platforms specific to that platform type, optimize the attention loyalty by offering shows, products, appearances, exclusives and anything else you can monetize. rinse and repeat for money to roll in, calculate the expense of gaining attention with your monthly net returns to adjust spending/earning to increase profit margins. noted.

can you show your track record? has this worked for you? Promote yourself a bit to us the audience

im trying to follow ur tips but unfortunately its not happening,
few of the music are being big but not all. please help me.
Not me watching these videos instead of recording
and i thought i was done working when i had a hit record.
haha, that's just the start
make really great music and people will want to pay to see you live. nothing has changed about the music model. if you write a HUGE hit song that they can remember after hearing it once on the radio and hum it, you'll sell tickets to your live show
I always admire your sessions but wauw you've become an artist in cutting and pasting a promotional video. Do you even breath during a session? I have counted 82 cuts/pasts. Still.... doing good work for Musicians. Just teasing
And the video is still too long!
Do you guys answer your emails? Are you working only for pop musicians or all music genres? I sent an email to you guys and no answer :(
yes, send a follow up

Burstimo very epic
Shes cute
Nah I don’t have fans cuz my beats kinda ass doe!
I want to be as popular as Dua Lipa.
What artists have Burstimo worked with? who has actually benefitted from this "you need to be viral on Tik Tok" advice? The biggest problem for a lot of people is not just bad marketing, it's bad music but videos like this keep them thinking it's just their bad marketing.
They address this as well and have given examples of artists they have helped. It isn't just an issue of "bad marketing" as much as the sheer volume of new music and independent artists that an artist has to breakthrough. Many artists have posted in the comments that they have applied these principals and it's helped them grow their audience.
@@onyxxproductions8187 Who are these artists tho? I've not heard of any
