I disagree with not paying attention to the name. Having a stupid name and having a non-notable name are two very different things. Arctic Monkeys maybe a stupid name but it's a name that stands out. On the other hand if you have a really boring name or a super complicated name that people can't even remember that's gonna work against you. Your name is something that will build your image alongside your branding. At the same time your name should go at least partially hand in hand with your branding. Your name will stay with you throughout your long tiring career. One day you will be reduced down to that one name. So if you're picking a stage name, I definitely think it should be done wisely.
A quick answer: *branding is for the long term and a deeper relationship with people *just the music will make you a (with a tons of luck) one hit wonder or a year max of listeners
I clicked cause this was the only video with a woman on the topic (women sre easier for me to listen to) and stayed for the down to business but friendly way they explain and talk. Very professional, definitely subscribing.
Amazing tips - keep it up.. I guess constant interaction with followers goes a long way.. I've seen some decent following growth over the past year.. in a local industry where musicians are generally seen very stuck up and too far out of reach.. !! One question that I did have was.. are there any recommendations on getting bespoke artist masks made like that of Marshmallow? I am a singer (not a DJ) and don't show my face and would like to have a mask designed that would push my personal brand further..
You both rock! Thank you so much for this, what a great timing! I study music business in Munich and we have to write an assignment about artist branding, building a brand etc :D
You're very helpful, and the fact that you shared these infos with us for free is amazing! I wish all of the artists here a good luck for this here! Just released some new tracks, but going for music videos too in 2021! Have a nice day you all! ♥
Hello, i wanted to ask do i NEED a logo? Is it absolutely necessary for branding? Because i cant find any place to fit my logo into... My social media pages profile picture shouldn't there be my picture for example? Where would i even put the logo? I tried looking for some major or even not so major artists using logos but they all used professional pictures as their profile pic for everything... I wonder should i post a professional picture or a logo as profile pics. Or can i have both somehow and if so where should i fit them? Thank you
Hi there, no a logo isnt necessary at all. It would be much better for you to get a photo of yourself to use as your profile picture. remember, when it comes to fans, they buy into YOU not your music. Logos are great, but more in the realm of business. Let your audience see who you are. It doesn't have to look professional, it just has to be authentic. Create a space for your audience to trust you, recognize you. hope this helps. let me know if you need further assistance :)
08:51 when you came on the streets of your city that was so beautiful to watch because I'm from India n I go to to see UK please make more videos like that filming on the streets, your country is so cool 😍 infact make a video like you both visiting malls, shopping centres in your city it's like we watchers are touring with you 😍💯
I've read lots of reviews of fans disliking Spotify canvas a lot - as far as skipping a tune and going to the next one. Therefore, I've removed all Spotify canvases I'd already implemented.
Thank you so much for everything you do, really. Your videos mean the world to me; you are teachers. I don't know if my projects will ever fly, but I know that your advice and guiding lines are fundamental. Again, thank you.
Maybe this ..the music is the draw..the main event...the brand makes the connection more concrete..but I don't think for me the Brand is that important..I think the music should make you unique if the brand adds to that or reinforces it fine but it starts with the music.
I Just Dropped My First Ever music video and it only has 190+ views since 1.4 weeks. I'd really love it if you guys could also teach us music video marketing🙏🙏
Here’s a topic I’ve never heard discussed: i’m based in the US. Is it not a good idea to disclose my political preference in this country? It could easily alienate half the audience right there so I’m thinking no
Good content, as usual. But the title is a little bit misleading. I get that clickbaits work with the algorithm but no one builds a brand in under 10 minutes. Still, thanks for the content. I like the way you put the different conversations together under the same topic.
Ariel Pink just got dropped from his label from showing who he is and talking about his real values. A bit tone deaf of advice given the past month. This is great advice for artists who have values that align with left wing politics though I guess.
I'd be a rich man for everytime they said narrative Narrative this narrative that ....... just be real with us and get to the point SMFH what a waste of time😡

The biggest artist in the world don’t sell music, they sell a lifestyle.

Years of music listeners can make you multi million. That's the whole point of music business.

Kind of like tropical penguins.

Burstimo, I love this video and I would love to see more of the last scene.

Some of the most hated artists have the best artists image like Tupac Amaru Shakur.
Arctic Monkeys is not stupid name.
True😁
My brand is anythings possible and giving people hope.
I don't think people want it because you are ignoring me on spotify people.
That sounds awesome! Don't give up on it completely man, Try to adjust it.
How in the world did Damien Keyes show up on here lolz

Actually, its 9mins 50secs
"What story are you telling?"
I think the Burstimo brand needs her having his beard.
You are beautiful ❤️
🔥💯👍🏾✝️
please stop repeating the same thing in every video it's so tiring
Yo i think u should listen to the silence. There is something shes tryna say
I hit you up in the dm, my name is kvrterr
You have a good content to upload but you don't seem to explain well
You are always in a rush
Please correct that .Thank you
In my twenty years in this industry I'd have to strongly disagree with most of your "experts".

I'd be a rich man for everytime they said narrative
Narrative this narrative that ....... just be real with us and get to the point
SMFH what a waste of time😡
i have to admit i am a little scared and tend to turn my eyes away from the female host's eek
