Street Sharks 30th Anniversary Toy Line Review - Pixel Dan
Hey everyone! Pixel Dan here, and today we're diving into the deep end with a review of the brand new 30th Anniversary Street Sharks toy line from Mattel! 🦈🎉
It's hard to believe it's been 30 years since the Jawesome foursome first hit our screens, and Mattel has pulled out all the stops to celebrate this milestone with a fantastic new line of figures. In this video, we'll be taking an up-close look at each figure, checking out their details, articulation, and accessories, and comparing them to the original '90s versions that we all know and love.
    What's Inside the Video:
Introduction: A brief history of Street Sharks and their impact on '90s pop culture.
Unboxing: First impressions and packaging details of the new 30th Anniversary figures.
Figure Reviews: Detailed reviews of each figure, including:
Ripster: The leader of the Street Sharks, with his powerful jaws and fearless attitude.
Jab: The hammerhead shark with a knack for inventing and cool gadgets.
Streex: The speedster of the group, known for his quick moves and sharp style.
Big Slammu: The muscle of the team, bringing brute strength and a big heart.
Articulation and Design: A look at the modern articulation points and the design improvements made over the original figures.
Accessories: A breakdown of the accessories included with each figure, from weapons to additional hands and heads.
Comparison: Side-by-side comparisons with the original '90s figures to see how far the toys have come.
Final Thoughts: Pixel Dan's overall thoughts on the new line, including his favorite figures and any potential improvements for future releases.

To me, these are perfect figures. The general look and feel of these new ones is exactly like the old ones, but once you take a closer look, you'll see how the sculpt is way more detailed and sharper than the originals. Proper arm and leg articulation combined with the original action features and the cool "shark-like" skin material boost these new ones way ahead of the originals. And to me at least, these completely replace the originals. These are the perfect combination of new and old: looks from the old, design from the new. I LOVE IT. HAVE A JAWSOME 30th ANNIVERSARY SHARK BOIIS!

Yeah I was going to start collecting the old vintage ones but after these were released, I'm just strictly collecting the 30th anniversary ones. Plus they are wayyy cheaper, better paint, better sculpts, better articulation. What more could you want!

No mistaking about it that these first wave figures look almost exactly the same as their vintage 90's counterparts, with added upgrades by movement of arms and legs. Also, the cage that can be used as an accessory to containing a figure instead of just being box packaging part? DEFINITE Jawsome to that! 🤩🦈
Someday I truly wish to get Ripster for sure. I remember having a vintage Ravenous Ripster for my birthday SO many years ago, though such shame it has now been long lost.
P.S.: Before the release of these first three trio, I remember seeing on eBay a different version of Ripster figure which looked real terrible by its design, along with accessories he came with (this one was in workout-gym attire).

I wish they had some clear plastic in the packages to protect them more in-store but I appreciate the idea of going full throttle with the nostalgic packaging
They look fun, I liked the first style they did to bring back these figures (the sofubi ones from a while back) but I understand going more Origins style
I’m hoping this line does well enough that they don’t have to go on clearance while also hoping they go on clearance…tough call!
    Thanks for a great review!

I’m 41(42 end of Oct) and I thankfully always stayed in toys. Went from MOTU to tmnt & joes. Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, battle beast, cops, Rambo, & police academy too. Then Batman, swamp thing, toxic crusaders & X-Men & Jurassic park. To Star Wars & wrestling. Then horror toys & merch. Then got back into 80s toys. But always got MOTU stuff. And still getting toys lol And while I loved sharks I never picked up any street sharks but always thought they were cool

It's to bad you didn't show it but I think the turtles of grayskull will look great scale wish next to these. The more cartoon colors of the turtles I feel will match these and since you showed a motu He-man we know the scale works and yes the sharks are supposed to be larger then the turtles or humans. I might have to get these now for my turtles of grayskull diorama lol. Here's hoping Mattel does "Extreme dinosaurs" now. Just get all the hero's from all these lines in the motu style lined up on the shelf. Now I just need Thundercats in the motu style.

I was pretty into them, but never collected them in my adult years, and it's kind of like I was rewarded for holding off, because these are better than the vintage ones in so many ways, and yet they evoke the feel of the originals perfectly. Exactly what I think we all wanted. EDIT: I am a little jealous I didn't get that sweet swag, though. 😝

Stuff like "Street Sharks" and "Biker Mice" and "Mummies Alive" are more around my time as a kid, and I will say...
...they were all terrible! They're awful "TMNT" knock-offs! I love "Transformers", and I'll even admit that Dan has made me a casual "MOTU" fan, but the difference between the former three and the latter three is that the latter have actual charm and appeal, and weren't just trying to ride a trend.
