    it seems that Gould didn't record this masterpiece. I really like the interpretations of S.Richter and Rosalyn Tureck

    6:05 - 6:30 so beautiful
    I played this a few years ago
    The fugue is thorny but well worth it

    This is a pretty lackluster performance by Richter.

      That's one way of looking at it. My feeling is he's giving the piece the respect it deserves. I like to imagine I'm hearing the piece as Bach intended it to sound, which perhaps requires a somewhat hands off approach. Just my rather uneducated opinion.

      @@kailavarjames6974 Teally? I thought only the fortepiano was around, and it produces an awful sound.
