So glad I just adopted this beautiful "spirit"-Roho.It's the least I can do....something! Poaching has to end. Mans greed for Ivory and Rhino horn must stop. All poaching needs much tougher laws. Lets save all of these species, before it's too late.
For Christmas last year, I was given the gift of sponsoring this little cutie. Every month I get updates on him and he’s such a handsome little guy 💕 so glad to know he’s doing well and growing big and strong
I can't even imagine how horrified tiny baby was watching monsters killing his mother .Thank you for helping tiny baby and giving him chance for safe life .You are amazing people .God bless you
Thank you so much for all those who had everything possible for little Roho to give him a very nice home and a new family. Welcome to the family Roho and thank you DSWT for all you do
It seemed that the little guy was just happy to be with his own kind again.... The love and attention the other orphans were giving him was just beautiful to watch.... Thank you for saving the orphans
I haven't cried of one of these rescue in a while, but thinking of this poor baby and think about what he had to endure and witness these poachers do is just heartbreaking. It's comforting to know he's with a new family now, and that little trunk hug from one of the older girls towards the end is just beautiful.
Can not but shed a tear every time I read these heartbreaking stories and seeing the picture in my mind of these babies bravely standing by their deceased mothers. So grateful for all that you do in giving these babies a second chance in life!
He is so adorable. Out of all the videos, this is the first time I’ve seen a baby elephant put his legs up like trying to climb out. It’s terrifying what he may have witnessed with his mom. And what happened to their herd? Seems like the younger the calves are, the easier for them to adapt to the orphan herd.
Oh dear. This baby was so confused so disoriented. Loosing his momma. Wow my heart bleeds for these ellies. So much love and compassion they have. Yet ppl just can't leave life alone. Very sad. Ty so much keepers for your continuous care and resues. With you they have a fighting chance. God bless!!!👍⭐
Blessings to the vets, techs, security officers and the many wonderful keepers for their continued work in protecting and healing the majestic elephants with love and dedication. Wishing you and your families a healthy and happy holiday. 🇨🇦🙏🐘
I have always loved the great work done at Elephant Sanctuarys and I truly value the people saving elephants and caring for them! Today I got an adoption Certificate for Roho as a birthday gift! I really hope that it does a great difference and that Roho and all others are going to grow up in their new family. I would love to volunteer at your sanctuary and also help to protect elephants from being poached.
Julian, first off, a big welcome to Roho's adoptive family! We really hope you enjoy reading about his progress over the following month - just make sure to activate your adoption via the welcome email so you can also receive our monthly Orphans' Project updates and access Roho's diary entries. Adoptions ensure we can continue to care for all the orphans and protect the wilderness areas they will call home - they make a real difference to our conservation projects and the animals we care for and protect. We're sorry to say we don't take on volunteers for reasons outlined here: www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/faqs#volunteering. But joining our foster family is one of the best ways to help us continue our lifesaving work :)
@@SheldrickTrust oh wow, thanks for the reply, I really enjoyed reading it. I have activated it already and started reading about the orphans, so nice and interesting to find out what they're doing! Okay so no volunteering then but we'll come and visit then 😉 Thank you so much for the commitment!
