  • I finally received my Jeda Wireless Charging Pad v4 and installed it in my Model 3. TLDW, looks nice and works well, however wireless charging is slow on the front USB ports and using the wired charging adapter leaves a lot to be desired.

    Finally someone who’s review includes the step of closing the both the lids to demonstrate that the spacer is not a problem

    Is this compatible with magsafe? I have 2020 m3p and am wondering if I need just v2 v3 or v4.

    What options are there for larger phones? My iPHone 13 max doesn't fit, and my partner's Galaxy Note 10 too big for the Model Y Charger pad.

      Hmm, that I'm not sure on. My Model 3 is the older dash set up. I had the Note 10+ prior to my S21 Ultra and they both fit in my car.

    The backing is so insanely bright!!
    Interesting that there's a difference in feel to the micro fibre, but it makes sense since that's how patenting works.
    I like the little flex with phone controlled garage!
    I know you said it's a problem for the wired adaptors, but I like the freedom of having 1 wired and 1 wireless. Did you find out why it didn't charge the watch?

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  3 года назад +1

      Actually the garage isn't phone controlled, the car is and the car has a garage door opener that I can control with the car. It would just be nice to have both wired and wireless working on both sides, as an option. And the watches tend to need smaller coils. It's very picky about what it will charge on.

      @@AdultsHaveToysToo Thanks for the lesson around watches!!!
      The car controlling the garage is very cool too!! I assumed it was the phone!

    I just got my v4 on Friday and of course the right side of the charger pad does not work. I sent a request to return and get a replacement from Jeda. They do have very slow customer service and definitely have quality control issues with their products but my v3 pad is still working for about a year and half. You just have to be persistent with their customer service and eventually they will make things right. I just wanted to go for the new look with version 4 but now regret it.

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo

      Good to know. Mine is working fine but it does get frustrating when customer service isn't great.

    So, the v4 charger is slower than the stock charger? I have a 2021 model y but the older console and wireless pad.

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  2 года назад

      I'm not sure of the speed of the stock wireless pad. My car did not come with wireless. It is not fast when plugged into the USB A ports in the front, but is supposed to be faster if plugged into the cigarette lighter adapter.

      @@AdultsHaveToysToo Yeah. My 12v lighter is already taken. So your car as the old 2x USB type A ports. My car has 1 USB-C and 1 USB-A. I'll test it out and let you know. I have an iPhone so not sure there is a charging speed app I can use, but I'll look.

    You can get this spacer instead of the Jeda spacer and then the usb cable sits lower: everyamp.com/shop/wired-phone-charging-kit/ I use it for my Pixel 2 XL and it fits now where it did not fit with the Jeda spacer. FYI

    To anyone thinking about purchasing from Jeda, DONT. They never posted my item after over a month and then lied about processing a refund. I'm now having to go through the bank. Check out their trust pilot reviews if in doubt!

    Sigh. This was a frustrating 'review' to have to watch. I found myself yelling at you through the screen. Do your research. Take your time. It looks like you rushed this video out, and it's obvious you were fishing for something to say or even complain about. THIS IS A WIRELESS CHARGING PAD - WHY DO YOU SPEND SO MUCH TIME TALKING ABOUT USB CABLES. PEOPLE BUY THIS TO CHAR WIRELESSLY.

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  3 года назад

      The reason is that I specifically chose this one because it was one of the only ones that still allow for wired charging. Like I said in the video my wife has a Pixel 4a so that is a very important feature to me.

      @@AdultsHaveToysToo Bro you didn't even read the website FAQ section on this.
      Can I maintain a wired connection with the Jeda Wireless Pad V4?
      Yes. You can choose to use both sides wirelessly, or just one if you prefer. The Jeda Wireless Pad is unique in that it provides wireless charging in three positions, and wired charging as well which no other chargers do. All chargers come with a free Jeda Spacer. For wired charging, you will need to utilize the stock L-shaped angular cables sold by Tesla.

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  3 года назад

      I'm confused why you feel like I didn't read that. Like it says, it is allows for both wired and wireless charging, and I am using their spacer with the stock l shaped cable. Is it because of the line that you can choose one side to be wired and one to not be? Because you can still have both connected assuming enough ports. I'm working on my Jeda hub video now which covers that issue too, just didn't want a super long video with both.
