So I have a newer Model 3 that has the USB A and USB C behind the cell phone plate and have the Tesla wireless charger. Reading reviews of the Jeda wireless charger, reviews were saying it was faster wireless charging than the Tesla one so I decided to purchase Jeda wireless charger. Anyone that is looking to do this, I will tell you, the Jeda wireless pad is lighter and doesn't hook in on the bottom of the plate like the Tesla one does, and because of that it rattles when hitting bumps. I decided to go back to the Tesla Wireless charging pad from the Jeda.
My 2nd Taptes wireless charging pad has been charging my iPhones perfectly for nearly 2 yrs (now an 8). The first one would only charge on the left side. I requested a replacement and Taptes asked me to send them a video of my issue, which I did. They sent me another, N/C, and I still use the broken one on my desk. Great customer service!

As always, another thorough review. As we say in the Navy, you nuked the heck out of this one...I will say from personal experience, I don’t use the matt. I have a 2019 Model 3 and added the wireless pad, and also a Model Y that came with it. I use neither. I use an attachment that attaches to the bottom of the center to allow me to see the phone better while using Waze or other mapping programs since you can’t choose different options for trips with the TESLA Navi. Also, since I’m on that side of 50 where the hill gets steeper downhill, I keep forgetting my phone in the car when I put it on the pad. There are a number of different products that allow you to attach a gizmo to the screen that are removable, does wireless charging, and blend in nicely. I prefer them.
I used to have the Nomad and loved the indicator lights but wanted to close the door. I knew I was upgrading my iPhone to the bigger 12 Pro Max and was concerned it wouldn't charge at all so I bought the Jeda unit cause figured worst case I could charge in Landscape.Turns Out it charges in Vertical mode great and I can close the door too. Im very pleased with the Jeda and got the dock piece too. so nice not having all those wires in the cubby space. Nice review
I own the Taptes. Works fine for me. No issues. I like the sleek look; it blends well. No problem seeing the charging lights. I ordered it straight from Taptes rather than Amazon. At the time they were offering a discount to purchase with their hub, which works fine too. Shipping is relatively slow (maybe 1.5 weeks I think) to CA since it comes from China or Hong Kong. The hub is slightly tight width wise - had to give it some pressure to push it against the USB ports in the back wall of the console space. Please do a video comparing hubs. Thanks.
I have the Hello Skyline product that raises up the dock so that I can easily plug in my phone in it’s case. My first 3-D printed one broke and Hello Skyline promptly replaced it at no charge. The new one is injection molded.
I have the original Taptes charger for 2 years this month. My needs are the same as yours and it has worked without any issues. As you stated, you can’t go wrong with any of the 3.
I thought of the three the Taptes would be the best choice even if they were all the same price. I’m glad you posted to say how long it’s been working for you. Looked like the charging speed was close to being the same for a non scientific test. I appreciate the fact that the unit is thinner. Probably warmer because it has less mass to distribute the heat I’m thinking. I would definitely buy the Taptes over the other two regardless of the price.
I have the Taptes and installed it on the day of receiving my car in late April 2020. It has worked flawlessly so far, the only issue is my Samsung Note 10+ doesn't fit in portrait with a case on.
Great review: I've owned a form of Teptez (branded otherwise with 10w coils) for almost 2 years. No problems.
P.S. I ALWAYS close my cover during night drives, long drives, to hide from my kids, to hide my wife, from thieves ,and for the clean look... I agree with the results, but for different reasons.
I was really hoping to get more info on wireless charge speeds on all 3 units being compared... maybe a follow up using the Amperes app? And how does using the 12v adapter change that, and did all 3 units support it (I think I saw only 2)?
I had a Jeda and it failed after five years. I have replace it with a Testa and so far so good.
I have the same problem with my iPhone 12 Pro Max in that anything other than the thinnest of cases will not allow my Model Y factory wireless charger to work with my phone. I already figured out the notch on the factory charger was too small as was causing alignment issues with thicker cases. You mentioned a spacer that seemed to push up the bottom lip of the charger. Can you share a link for something like that? I tried to find one, but I must be missing the correct keyword. This video was a great help!

FYI, the Nomad is discontinued. I confirmed with customer service who said it was discontinued because “tesla sells one now.” Interestingly tesla stopped selling theirs too now that it’s standard in the later builds.

After just 2 years my Nomad charger gave up the ghost on the right side. Very annoying too, as I use that bay for my daily commute. My legs are just long enough to block part of the screen when I use the right side. I contacted Nomad and they simply, but politely, told me to F off because warranty had just gone. Very, very sucky customer experience. Would not recommend. I reckon I'm going for Jeda now..
So I have a model y and the stock charger is great except !!! I also picked up a Samsung Galaxy fold 2
So with a phone that unfolds into a tablet I need a chargr that doesn't have the little divider so I can lay the phone flat when it's unfolded
so I just recently purchased the Jetta charger because it looks like it has the smallest divider and it looks like it's made out of a material that can be cut away I'm hoping it's plastic the other chargers the divider looks like if you cut it away you would have to cut into some sort of rubber and it wouldn't really end well
I'm hoping to cut away the Jetta charger and then wrap it in satin vinyl to get rid of any unsightly cut marks and I'm crossing my fingers and hope that that works but I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail !

Nope. Keeping my 3 for the long haul and plan to get a Cybertruck when they're available.

The Jeda charger is the only one on the market that will charge a Samsung S20 Ultra. The lip on the other chargers keep it from fitting, and the Tesla made charger has coils in the wrong place.
I've had the Tapes one for over a year now. Best deal for the huge price difference imo. I think I only paid $25 at the time I got mine. What are the circle things stuck under your center console lid?

had taptes gen1 and now Taptes gen2 and no way would i spend 100us on the same item, they all end up doing the same job and in fact only Taptes works best with huge phones... plus Taptes site has everything you would want for your Tesla at a much cheaper price, the only gripe is waiting for shipment as it comes from china but worth the wait
Android has the ampere app, which will tell you the exact amount of amperage you get. I'm sure Iphone has similar apps available. These would tell you the charging info you needed for this test.

Definitely do not want more redundant LED lights. Phone dings AND battery charge indicates when phone is charging. Completely unnecessary to have additional lights on the charge pad.
I bought the factory Tesla wireless charger. Looks like I should have gotten the Taptes.
What’s weird is I don’t see the Tesla one on the website anymore.
What app widget are you using to display your car in the upper right of your screen? I'm not seeing tesla as an option on my phone. @13:44

The new Tesla Sentri mode 128gb flash drive at $35 is made by Samsung and on Amazon it's $18. Any thoughts?
Unless you want the Tesla logo, I’d go for the Samsung on Amazon.

My iphone 12 pro max does not work with the tesla wireless charger
I agree I have a 12 pro max and I didn’t think it worked on the newest Jeda but after watching the review I removed the regular holder at the bottom and just used the spacer. In landscape it does charge but not portrait with my case. Good luck.

To anyone thinking about purchasing from Jeda, DONT. They never posted my item after over a month and then lied about processing a refund. I'm now having to go through the bank. Check out their trust pilot reviews if in doubt!

Do not buy from this company. They are a total scam. No customer service response and do not issue refunds. They are actively stealing peoples money. Go look at their reviews online.
Avoid the Jeda at all costs. Their customer support has been absolutely awful. Despite showing "in stock" it took two months to arrive and once it did it wasn't even working properlya. Left charger simply doesn't work. I'm requesting a full refund.
Taptes has worked perfectly for nearly 2 years and is by far the best value. And you did not mention it’s built in lightning charge cable at the bottom and those splitters are very useful. The others are far overrated and you tubers have been bought off in their endorsements of Jeda and Nomad.
Good to hear! The Taptes charger I have doesn't have the built in lightning charge cable but they do have a few different versions.
Just a small comment. Jeda is a scam company. stay away from their products
