The hospital example is a bit extreme, but yes - replay system isn't exactly extremely difficult to implement in Unreal Engine. They have native support for that, as far as I'm aware. All major competitive games have a replay system - CSGO, Overwatch, Age of Empires, StarCraft.....I just don't see how this is so hard as to take 4 years. I think, this is just a matter of either not enough man-hours being put into this, or the Valorant code is so spaghetti, adding replay is breaking too many things too often.

Replay System is not Riot's priority. Their priority is expensive skins. They prob only showed it to silence the memes.
